is there any Star Trek Enterprise fans here?

Anyway the guy talks about the show being an abomination for Star Trek historians. This guy sounds like your ultimate ST nerd. Let him be what he is and stop complaining. He isn't wasting your time, you're wasting your time if you make the decision to read all the way through that even though it did not interest you. I bet Mr. Dixon doesn't feel like going out side. I think he would rather sit in his chair eating cheetos and and playing Birth of the Federation or posting on some star trek message boards someplace. Is he being any different from somebody sitting in their chair at a computer and complaining about him on a star wars message board?

Maybe I'm wrong, only be a casual fan of Star Trek, who never really was interested in Enterprise, but I've gotten the impression that bringing up Enterprise is about like bringing up the prequels or the SE to Star Wars fans. You'll get some very extreme responses, and people who will go through point by point as to why they aren't good.

What 30th Anniversary?
Time
For the 30th anniversary, its been awfully quiet. I'm starting to think that the so called "archve" boxset isn't going to happen. Maybe they've decided that they've re-released Star Wars too many times, with a new repackaged set every year since '04. The Post Office with their stamp set seems to be the only big thing thats come out so far...

Questions

Do you think the display is eye catching?
Yes, you notice it.

Do you think you would notice this display at a till of a store?
Yes.

Would you be tempted to buy the box set displayed?
Yes. If its not too much.

Do you think the Darth Vader and Leia characters on the stand are iconic?
Yes. As said earlier, I wouldn't of gone with the Hologram Leia, but regualar Leia.

Do you think the design of the box set is interesting?
Yes. Its different from the normal boxsets, and that makes it nice.

Would you display the box set?
Yes, I'd find a place on my shelf for it.

Would you automatically associate the box with star wars?
Yes. Vader, the Death Star, Etc, is certainly very associatable with Star Wars.

Is there enough information on the box?
One thing I wondered about is what is EU? Extended Universe?

Would you pick the shaped box set over normal DVD cases?
Yes. It would be a nice set.

Comments?
The Death Star could use some more detail, but I understand that you have a limited budget to work with. I also wouldn't of put Saga between the episode numbers, but that is just me.

Expanded Universe Unacceptance

Originally posted by: AnchorheadThat's it for me also. Although, I've always been tempted to read Splinter Of The Mind's Eye. It was a really big deal when I was a kid. There was only Star Wars. Suddenly, there was a Star Wars book - something else from that world! The younger fans on here have no idea what that was like for us. There wasn't media saturation\internet\global connectivity\downloading\fan sites\official websites\forums\etc,etc. We had a film - that's it. When that book came out, it was a big deal.

Seems so inocent now.

Even when the Thrawn trilogy came out, it was a big deal. The Thrawn Trilogy was the first thing Star Wars to come out in years. It was great. Then Shadows of the Empire came out, and it was good too. Then things started downhill, and they've seem to wear out the EU, with the continual supply of books, comics, etc. most of which are of poor quality, a rehash of something else, or just plain ridiculous.

Idea: 'Superman Returns - Not the Baby's Daddy' Edition?
Time

Yeah, that would be great. I hate that they had Superman and Lois sleep together in Superman II. It's just not Superman. This edit would allow for that to be fixed up.

But even beyond that, now that they've made him Superman's kid, they have to deal with him in future Superman movies. I don't usually have a problem with kids in movies, but we've now had five Superman movies starting with Reeve, and only one villain from the comic books..

I agree on the sleeping together thing. Its not like Superman.
But wasn't General Zod in the comics? I know he is now, but wasn't he in the comics before too? Maybe not, but I thought he was.
I've heard that Superman III was originally going to have Brainiac instead of the "ultimate computer" why couldn't they of done that?
But anyway, good luck with this edit. 'Superkid' really did alot to ruin Superman Returns for me, and having him not be superman's kid would be great.

I think that Jambe Davdar had it taken down out of fear it might be removed by youtube anyway, and could get him in trouble from the copyright police for posting it on youtube.

This is something I've heard about the Wii that kinda frightens me about its long-term chances. That it is a system that seems to be very cool at first, but one gets tired of it and moves on after a while. I don't have one, and can't seem to find one anyway, but I used to really want a Wii, now I'm not so sure.

I can change my mind can't I?

I hate the fact that its getting more and more that everything seems to be "republicans vs. democrats". We are both Americans, and have to live with the choices both parties make, and no one ideology has a monopoly on good ideas. I also hate that some people would rather see this everything go to hell in a handbasket rather than the 'other party' getting credit for doing something good. Why hate someone because of their politicial ideology?

Time
I've received this set as well and have watched some of it and I must say that I'm impressed. Incredible job, Editdroid team! It has a great set of features.
I've made copies of this for Ghost Alpha and Dark Jedi, and am sending them out tomorrow. I have one more set of these to send out if anyone is interested.
Dark Jedi, you have a PM. I need to know where to send your discs.
