Star Wars: Classic Edition by Ocpmovie (Released)
Time
One problem with ISP provided newsgroup access is that they sometimes limit the downloads per month. My ISP, for example, limits you to something like 1-2 gig, which is too small for anything like a DVD. That is why I am still on torrents personally. Maybe I'll go with a premium newsgroup provider sometime. Because everything else here is going on newsgroups, and little seems to make the torrents anymore.

Agreed. I got my copy of ESB:Classic Edition and started watching it. Great job! Now I'm patiently waiting for Return of the Jedi Classic Edition. Keep up the good work!

It also would of helped if it wasn't always connected to the TV when it was talked about. Don't mean to sound bad, but to someone who never saw the show before and hears of a movie based on such a short-lived TV series doesn't make the average movie goer think "good film"

I have seen the Holiday Special!
Time
The Holiday Special isn't so bad, from a certain point of view. The most interesting thing is its portrayal of a typical family in the Star Wars universe. What their lives are like, what they have to put up with from the empire, that sort of thing. It isn't great entertainment by any stretch of the imagination, but it is interesting. The cartoon is the best part of it. It also has a certain cheesy charm to it, not unlike MST3K movies.

Would you all say it's a fair conclusion that Snarf was to Thundercats what Jar Jar Binks was to the Star Wars prequel trilogy (or Star Wars as a whole)?

All of the Thundercat cubs ( I think that is what they were called) sucked. I think Snarfer was brought in the same time they were. They were totally out-of-place and useless to the series. I always thought as a kid they were whiney brats.

If George had only changed Special effects for the SE and DVD, would people have complained as much?
Time
The best thing about the 97 special editions was the chance to see them in the movie theatres again. I didn't mind some things, such as the special effects updates, but the Greedo fires first was bad. The Jabba scene looks awful, and the dialoge made Jabba look like a stupid pushover and a cheap small-time hood instead of the sinister villian he was supposed to be. 04 DVD didn't help things out any. But basically, I could live with some of the changes, such as cloud city, mos eisley, etc. But when the changes started messing with plot, and looks poorly done, I have to draw the line personally.
