20 years ago, would anyone believe...
Time
I have a few...
-Jabba would be changed from a fear-inspiring, loathsome crime lord into dim-witted creature, easly smooth talked by Han into getting a second chance
-Jabba hires only really stupid thugs to collect his debts who can't shoot someone only a few inches away
-Anakin would be more of a whiney brat than a heroic figure.
-A jedi can slaughter a whole tribe on innocent sand people, act only in his own self-interest, and kill Count Dooku in a rage, and yet not turn to the dark side
-Christopher Lee would be a sith lord (wait, that one was actually good)
-Obi-Wan wouldn't be taught by Yoda, like he told Luke.
-Vader wouldn't really hunt down and destroy any Jedi. Stormtroopers did most of the work for him in a sneak attack. Vader only killed a bunch of little kids in a few minutes who were all in the same place.
-Yoda goes from being a wise jedi master to a stupid, short-sighted fool who was mostly part of the problems of the old republic

I don't have a lot of experience with the video iPod, but I have seen a couple, and I wasn't very impressed with the video quality. It seemed like I'd get a headache trying to watch the video for very long, but maybe it was mostly the video and not the iPod. I can't really say for sure. But I do know that I'm personally not impressed with them because of the very small screen, and when I want to watch videos on the go, I'll bring my portable DVD player.

The only negative thing I will say about iPod is that the older models had issues with their batteries, where they would die after a short period of time and no longer hold a charge, and the only thing you could do is mail the unit back to Apple and pay them a premium to fix it. However, after lots of consumer complaints, and a big lawsuit Apple lost, they fixed this problem. But that was a while back and I don't think there is anything wrong with them now. I have an iPod Shuffle and like it.

EDIT: Another choice might be a Creative Zen. My wife has one of those and likes it.

SUPERMAN RETURNS REVIEW

I just finished watching III and IV for the first time in ages (IV was the first time since the '80s when it debuted on video) and I didn't remember just how wretched they are. The FX in IV are so positively miserable. I was toying with the idea of editing the two into one good movie, but I don't know if it's possible. I'd like a story that interweaves Lex & Nuclear Man with Clark's return to Smallville, the Lana angle, and the whole split personality thing (which I'd have caused by Nuclear Man's scratch). But between the bad FX and Nuclear Man's scene chewing, I just don't know if it's worth the effort. The goal would be to cut out the whole Gus Gorman plot and the whole Mariel Hemingway plot, if possible.

Funny how she can breathe in space.

Would you keep Ross Webster/Ultimate computer plot? I for one actually liked the character of Ross Webster, even if for the most part, Superman III was terrible.

Will There be Further Changes to the 09/12 SE Discs?
Time
It has been said that the 9/12 SE discs are exactly the same as the '04 discs. One theory says that this all is partially an inventory reduction move. Maybe Lucasfilm/Fox way overproduced the '04 discs and need rid of them. I don't think there will be any further changes at this point. Perhaps for the next release, such as the rumored '07 super-duper-extra-special edition anniversary saga boxset.

DC (and I'm sure Marvel as well) has so many great characters that aren't as popular as the big names. (The fact that Ghost Rider is getting a film is a step in the right direction. I just hope it doesn't suck.)

Does Howard the Duck count as a b-list comic book character? LOL

Seriously...
I'm guessing that the only people who get "comic book" movies are the a-listers. Its not that the b-listers can't get a movie, its just that they don't usually get promoted as a comic book movie, like Blade was based on a comic book, but not promoted as such. Even Sin City didn't really talk about being based on a comic book. When they are, people don't see them. I don't think that the average movie goer wants to see a "comic book" movie of someone they aren't familiar with. So you are left with the fans of the comic book, and they aren't enough of them to make a movie a success.

Fox France confirms the French OOT release >NOT< to be anamorphic

For all the debate on Star Wars 70 mm 6-track mix, I didn't think there was much of a difference between the 35mm and 70 mm mixes. I would be happy with the 35 mm mix and mono mix.
Now for ESB, the 70 mm is different, and would be nice to include with the standard 35mm mix.

Do we know what sound mix they are using for this release? Definitive edition/faces mix?

I had the read-along versions on cassettes for the trilogy. I will always remember the line "you will know that it time to turn the page when you hear R2D2 beep, like this..." The cassettes might still be at my parents house, but I doubt I still have the books. Wish I did, might be a good project...

Great disc, MoveAlong. I had never head this record before.
