And we were soo close to returning to political discussion.
And we were soo close to returning to political discussion.
Like a discussion of Blade Runner? Perhaps this thread, if it doesn’t get too involved: http://originaltrilogy.com/topic/The-Scifi-Films-of-2017/id/53092/page/1 ?
Most big trailers on the internet show a 5 second summary before the trailer proper because that is the amount of time it takes for the skip advertisement option to appear when it is an ad on YouTube. It’s dumb and annoying, but understandable.
I thought the same thing at that shot. Cue internet meltdown!
Yoda to me feels very much like a spiritual guru who has stayed out of the way of galactic history for the most part, gradually growing in wisdom and power throughout his life. At some point Jedi began to seek him out for his wisdom, and they gave him the title of ‘Jedi Master’. His teachings are different than those of Obi-wan, leading me to believe that he adapted his long-form method of learning into a condensed Jedi training course, but this wouldn’t afford the same power as he has accrued through long centuries of meditation. This is why he is so astonished that Luke was almost able to lift the X-wing. He is concerned with Vader and the Emperor because of their dark influence, but he is not diametrically opposed to them. A force of nature as you say. He definitely identifies as a Jedi to some degree, hence his telling Luke that Luke will be the last only when he himself dies. Yet he tells him this in the context of ‘passing on’ what he has learned. In this way, a Jedi is one who knows about the light side of the Force and rejects the dark side. In this way most of all, Yoda is essentially a Jedi.
Luke and Rey both holding Anakin’s saber
Perhaps Luke’s green saber is part of an important plot point later in the film. Like, maybe Kylo took it when his knights torched Luke’s academy or something. Gotta be a reason.
So is Wonder Woman. What do you think would happened if they made a movie and cast a man in the part and called it Wonder Man?
Marvel would probably sue.

This is the closest thing I could find, which I know is not what you were looking for:

It’s a shame, since the video you describe sounds interesting.

That’s the future’s problem and nobody cares about that!

They’re nailing the ‘Star Wars yet cute’ look.
The green removal looks good to me, but I don’t know what the original color looked like so I can’t make a good comment on that. The animation effect looks decent when applied to contrasted textures and edges such as Gandalf’s staff, but it is extremely distracting in low contrast areas. Since Jackson uses such a dynamic camera, the static parchment layer feels very much tacked on. I’d be interested to see this with just the animation effect applied to edges.

Chewie’s voice is already in place because of EP 3.
How dare you assume continuity between trilogies! This is not what Lucas would have wanted.
It looks really good, much more natural than the last LUT. I’d be happy to watch the movie like this.
The 41 frames link doesn’t work, is that supposed to be for the current LUT?

Nothing comes after ‘thrice’.
That’s not how the fource works.
This post didn’t get enough recognition.
Well the TIE lasers on the left of the poster don’t make sense since they are firing at a different plane than all of the TIE fighters in that section, so it makes sense that it may be X-wing lasers. The laser on the right of the poster looks strange because it appears that there’s only one of them, when TIEs usully (always?) fire from both guns simultaneously.
Speculation is dangerous, as we of the forums well know 😉 The lightsaber rotoscoping is out of my hands at this point, but I hope to get the project released in some form very soon indeed.

I don’t know of any, but it should be possible. There are no essential plot points that happen during their lightsaber scenes. Yoda’s scene in AOTC could be cut so that Dooku and Yoda only use other powers, and Windu arresting Palpatine could cut after ‘it’s treason then’. Cut to Anakin’s arrival at the office, and he enters to find Palpatine already at Windu’s mercy. The final Yoda vs Palpatine fight could be cut entirely.
Time for an update as the new info rolls in. Here’s my odds on various things happening (no timeline) after the events of last week.
“Smoking gun”-type indisputable evidence of criminal wrongdoing by senior administration official available to public: 100% (unchanged from last time, but now we actually have it, so we’ll remove this metric as not worth predicting anymore)
Successful RICO prosecution of senior administration official: 90% (+5%)
Presidential pardon of senior administration official: 90% (+10%)
Impeachment of senior administration official: <1% (unchanged)
All mainstream media access to White House revoked: with the latest press briefing restrictions, it’s difficult to tell of this has already happened, I’ll remove this metric as too vague
All mainstream media (including Fox) access to White House revoked: same
Dems take the Senate (meaning 51+ seats) in 2018: 0% (unchanged)
Dems take the House in 2018: 2% (+2%)
Trump average approval rating (Gallup): 36% (unchanged)
Trump re-elected in 2020: 60% (unchanged)
Trump appoints one or more additional Supreme Court justice: 80% (+40%)
I can understand, but cannot accept, the fact that >50% of the voting public are powerless to impeach a president who’s campaign engaged in collusion with a hostile foreign nation to ascend to power.
Here’s another in the list of the weird first frame of shot glitches:
http://screenshotcomparison.com/comparison/215584
The first frame of this shot has elements of the second frame pasted into it (most of Luke’s shirt and his head), presumably because the first frame of the original element was damaged in some way.
Looks like a scene from Guardians of the Galaxy.
I liked the final end credits scene in Homecoming. Definitely worth waiting for.
The movie itself however ranks lower than the Rami movies, but manages to have a more interesting villain than all of them.
I’m apparently a social libertarian.
I got the same, though with the words flipped around for some reason.
I’m farther on the left than I ever suspected. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry over this.
Why would someone be saddened over what they believe?

Sounds like we comprise quite the echo chamber.
JEDIT: Here’re my girlfriend’s results:
