Another even more blunt possibility is:
āI hear youāre looking for some labor.ā
āYes, but you need not fear the First Order here.ā
āItās neutral ground.ā
Okay, this is something Iāve been working on for a while.
I realized while getting close to finishing the Technicolor ANH project that I wanted an original poster to go with it, and to use as DVD/Blu-ray art (if it was worthy). For these projects I like to give myself plenty of conceptual requirements to make it a creative challenge, and for this the requirement was to feature all of our heroes in a scene which occurred (or could have occurred) during the film.
There is only one scene in ANH that features all the heroes, and this is during the Death of Obi-wan. So I tried to find a way to make a dramatic composition of the scene, but the geography of the set meant that either Obi-wan or the other characters would be too far away to render in detail.
Switching gears and thinking it over, I realized that there was one other scene that could potentially work:

This meant contriving a moment before the destruction of Alderaan where R2 decides to show Chewbacca the Leia hologram. Since Han doesnāt seem to know about Leia on the Death Star, I had him turning away from the hologram, as if heās just finished target practice and is going to hang around in the cockpit for a while.
This is just a sketch colored with Photoshop, so the details arenāt final. Iām considering making the hallway a more natural warm tone, for example. So, any thoughts on color/composition before final painting?
JEDIT 11-20-17: Iām in the middle of doing the final drawing, which is on full-size 27 by 40 inch Masonite. Itās a bit overwhelming, so in the meantime Iāve gone back and finessed the color and lighting of the sketch:

I tried making a warm-colored hallway but it was too distracting. Blue it is!
JEDIT 12-20-17: The final drawing is complete.

Now I just have to get to the painting!
Yeah, I was torn between making it cryptic so as to underscore the general theme of the castle (itās a place where everyone finds a way forward) and being specific about its Casablanca-esque feel.
I have a bad feeling about this.
Iām definitely not looking forward to the porgs myself. I can see everyone raving about the movie and always just adding in "oh and if only you could get rid of the Porgs.
Theyāre an ugly kind of manufactured cute.
Like E. T.

OH NO YOU DONT

You are flawed. And imperfect!
And less consequential than the Ewoks.
Humans did it. Humans did it all.
And one computer.
Adding more Porgs will be the most popular fan-edit request/idea once the Last Jedi is released.
Bet.
Porgs are currently my favorite part of TLJ.
Embrace the aPorgalypse.
Thanks!
Since changing our heroās decisions is beyond the scope of the edit (and everyone seems to like it), I cordially retract my previous suggestions š
Since we remain locked into the Finalizer FX for V2, Iāve been thinking again about the general lack of panic at the castle (yeah, itās still bothering me after 30 pages). But I think I may have a solution! Perhaps something for V3 anywayā¦
In the original, thereās very little exposition about Mazās Castle. In fact, itās not much different than the Cantina. However, from background sources we know that although Maz is a pirate thereās a strict no-violence policy, and from the film we know that itās been there for 1000 years. From this information it makes sense that thereās at least an informal agreement among all factions of the galaxy that Mazās castle is inviolate. It may even be a place of political asylum, more like Casablanca than the Cantina. The problem is that this isnāt communicated in the film.
There are a few shots in the deleted scenes of Finn talking to the aliens who would take him to the outer rim. Combining these with the section in the film, there may be enough to subtitle. Something like:
Finn: 'I heard youāre looking for some labor.'
Alien 1: 'Ah, running from trouble.'
Alien 2: 'Tell him.'
Finn: 'I was told you can get me to the outer rim.'
Alien 1: āYes, but thereās no danger here.ā
Or something more cryptic:
Finn: 'I heard youāre looking for some labor.'
Alien 1: 'If thereās anything you seekā¦'
Alien 2: 'ā¦So they sayā¦'
Alien 1: 'ā¦Maz provides all you need.'
Finn: āI was told you can get me to the outer rim.ā
Did Silverwook just post a spoiler for a movie with a soon-to-be released remake?
The first movie I remember seeing in the theater was Aladdin (1992). The next one I remember was Hocus Pocus.
I was referring to this, actually: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/10/us/politics/trump-nfl-jemele-hill.html
"WASHINGTON ā President Trump threatened on Tuesday to use federal tax law to penalize the National Football League over players who kneel in protest during the national anthem, but the White House later backed off, saying he was only making a point.
Escalating a political fight that has resonated with his conservative base, Mr. Trump said Congress should eliminate a law that allowed the N.F.L. central office to avoid paying taxes as a nonprofit entity. āWhy is the NFL getting massive tax breaks while at the same time disrespecting our Anthem, Flag and Country?ā he wrote on Twitter. āChange tax law!ā"
I donāt think the issue is that a private company changed its rules, so much that the government threatened said private company because it wasnāt behaving patriotically.
I want to bring this up
Snoke looks like majorie Caton palpatineā¦right down to the skin color and eyes
Google didnāt help me in divining what youāre talking about.
That got weird.
At least Snoke looks a lot better this time around.
Although he mispronounced fulfill as āforfillā, itās fine.
Also, Riventing avatar youāve got there.

How do you feel about the saga continuing after RotJ?
WYSHS

Just realized that weāve got B-wings up in this.
I as well also like it.
I was thinking of posting this very thing. Great analysis.
In the end, it didnāt matter that Luke was back. It made no difference who the characters were, the battles they fought, the victories they won. All that mattered were the Porgs. The Porgs saved Star Wars. The Porgs became Star Wars.
In 100 years, when children watch movies, they will be introduced to the movies that started it all, that gave birth to the Porg cinematic universe. Star Wars will live on.

I made a Porgins.
So, thoughts and speculation on the trailer:
I wonder how much of the movie is really being shown here. It feels like even the Rey/Snoke scene could be as early as halfway through the film, if Luke declines to train her and Kylo arrives on the island.
We see nothing of Canto Bight.
Chewie looks, if possible, even stranger than in TFA. This is the one thing that really bugs me about the whole trailer. Iām all about them Porgs however.
There appears to be a big attack on a Republic stronghold, perhaps quite early on. If this is where Kylo decides that he canāt destroy Leia, he would fall out of favor with Snoke and Rey would replace him. I doubt very much that she would, of course, so my guess is she accepts him as her teacher. Side note, itās irritating that they have an āupgradedā medical frigate. It was annoying that it was a standard ship of the line in ROTJ, and itās stupid that itās remained so 30 years later.
This has the sort of action I expect of a climactic final installment of a trilogy, so it may not be too much to expect that the Republic destroys much of the First Order, or vice versa (though I doubt that). It would be refreshing to have the war somewhat settled going into the final chapter, to focus on the characters, but perhaps thatās too much to hope for.
