Has anyone synced current PCM mono track to the new remastered blu ray?
Has anyone synced current PCM mono track to the new remastered blu ray?
We need to get that PCM streamline dub!
Downloading a BD50 is out of the question for me, and I don't have a burner anyway.
Could someone kindly upload the PCM tracks please:
Original Film Mix:
1. PCM 2.0 (Mono)
Original Film Mix Restored and Remastered (Original 4-track mixing of the score) - 32Bit/96kHz DSP:
4. PCM 2.0 (Stereo)
Isolated Complete Scores:
5. PCM 2.0 (Restored and Remastered Original 4-track Mixing )
I will mux it to the mobile version DJ uploaded a while back. The picture quality is not too bad!
Thank you :)
Hi See No Evil. Was there a reason why you didn't use the PCM audio on your Evil Dead Treasures DVD? Was it to free space for better video compression?
And thats a wrap. Well done guys.
Great idea with the mobile version! I'm unlikely to dl the BD version as my internet connection is not too great and don't have a BD burner anyway.
Can I suggest a smaller H264 version? One which is watchable on a moderate sized TV without much noticable quality loss. We can easily create a mobile version off of that.
EDIT: Managed to get the mobile version. I will be seeding it for a while. Noticed quite a few other seeders now, so hopefully they'll stay too.
Not going to watch this all the way for a while but after a quick flick through it looks great! Must congratulate you on your work here, well done to all involved :)
Despite being the mobile version, the quality is quite decent. I have only watched it on a monitor so far but if I sit back a bit I don't notice much compression artifacting. The soundtrack is Stereo AAC. Can I ask which track you converted this from?
Could I also ask whether it would be possible to upload the PCM Mono, Stereo & isolated score tracks so I can mux them to this version? Then it'll likely be my go-to version to watch. Then I hope one day I can own the BD version of this!
Not heard of this! I only just watched Third Stage a few weeks ago and really loved it.
Is Alternative Edition Redux newer?

Crap. Wish I had known of this. I need to pay more attention!
Don't worry, I'm sure others here will help you to get a copy, or put it on myspleen so you can download it.
Missed out too! I was going to donate. Nevermind. Hope someone can re-distribute with the same care when copying BD-Rs.

So why are people upscaling when the BD is the same master?
Because it has been cropped to 1.85:1.
Yup I also converted my Criterion DVD to a MKV container just yesterday - http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/Converting-non-anamorphic-166-1-DVD-to-16-9/topic/15240/
I personally like the grain on this, so didn't bother with the cleanup script mentioned in the first post.
My TV is only 40 inch but this still looks beautiful to me.
Would love a Criterion Blu Ray version. I'd be more interested in getting a lossless soundtrack than HD video.
Ok this method has appeared to have done the trick - http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=138785
However still having quality problems with encoding with HCEnc.
According to the HC.INI file which is written after preparing, MAXBITRATE is set to over 8000 which I've reading is about as high as you should go.
Ok I have finally given it a go and when I choose the 4:3 LB to 16:9 option in DVD-RB, it crops the top and bottom so that it fits the sides to a 16:9 frame. What do I need to do?
Regardless of that, the quality of the output is also not very good despite setting HC encoder to BEST and making sure its set to DVD9.
Can anyone help?
Thanks.
I haven't even watched by sync'ed up copy all the way through yet. I think I'll wait for this new and improved version. Great work, thanks.
Haven't got round to trying this yet. I live in 2 places and haven't had much access to my PC.
Just wondering will DVD Rebuilder's 4:3 to 16:9 be straight forward for a movie in 1.66:1 ratio? Or will I need to manually add black bars on the sides?
Great thanks. Do I need to rip the DVD with another tool beforehand? What about copy protection?
Watching my copy of Criterion Robocop DVD is pain on my widescreen tv as its either in pillar box mode where I get black bars on all 4 sides or zoomed where it cuts off the top and bottom.
What's the easiest way to convert it to 16:9 where you will only get black bars at the side?
Doesn't the BD of 2nd movie have the Mad Max 2 title?
Brilliant! Keep up the good work.
Wasn't there talk of a new version in the works?
Sorry to go off topic, but what other fantasy movies (80s or otherwise) can you recommend? I know there are tonnes of movies classed as 'fantasy' but not all of them have the right atmosphere to me. Only Conan, Willow & LOTR/Hobbit springs to mind for me and I'm looking for something similar.
I don't believe ADM has worked on Half Blood Prince. Of he has we have not heard from him in a long time.
Can anyone help me find ADM's Love Actually Extended Edition? Thought it is a good time to watch it. Thanks.
Any updates?
