Hi,
Is there anyone in the UK who can burn a DL version of Once Upon a Time in the West Italian print for me? :) Will cover the costs of course!
thanks.

This had to be released by someone else,ADM does not release in this format, his releases are all full DVD's.
Well started getting the full DVDs, so no more LFE/hum channel problems yay! However I noticed one of the new scenes edited back into Chamber of Secrets does not have 5.1 sound. I realise the source probably didn't but I know a lot of editors here remix sound as well. Just wondering if it was the same for all movies.
Apologies. I must have grabbed it off Fanedit.org.
Does anyone have problems with the 5.1 soundtrack on the MP4 versions of the Harry Potter extended editions?
It seems to constantly emit a loud low pitch hum. I have tried on both VLC player and Media Player Classic using AC3Filter and its both the same. If downmix to Stereo on VLC, it gets rid of the hum.
Any ideas how I can fix this?
Oh does anyone have the dobly surround one one which follows a helicopter through scenes from different movies e.g. Indie on the bridge.
Don't you just love the THX sound?
You can get it here - http://www.stevescinema.themorris.org.uk/index1.htm But if someone can figure out how to convert the video to its proper aspect ratio (its missing the 16:9 flag), please let me know!
But I second the request for BBFC cards!
You reckon you can speed up the slow motion parts so it looks more like real time? :D
That has got to be the best trailers I've seen in a while. The end bit sent shivers down my spine - awesome!
I sold off my LE DVD since the UK version had an awful transfer (NTSC to PAL conversion with ghosting I believe). Then I realised the US version was actually out of print - doh!
Then I got the Divimax version which has the altered colour timing.
So I'm really looking forward to this one. Good work guys!
Just discovered CutA video is 23.97 while CutB is 29.97.
How do I convert CutA to 29.97?
Thanks Taolar.
VirtualDub cannot open either of my videos. I take I need to install a DivX and XviD codec?
What video format do I need to convert them to? Which editor do you use for cutting movies together?
Any finally, the bit I'm most worried about is syncing audio to the new cut, what do I use for that? Actually the video will be based about the audio, I won't make any changes to the audio at all.
Hi all,
I am going to have a go at my first editing project.
Basically I am putting together a movie so that it is in it original aspect ratio, original soundtrack and orriginal cut. Its not a serious project as I don't have the best elements out there.
I have two edits of the same movie in DivX/Xvid format.
CutA has the best video, it is OAR and better transfer. But it is missing a scene at the end and is dubbed a different language.
CutB is the complete movie, with original soundtrack but image is cropped.
Ok its pretty obvious by now what I want to do. I just don't know where to start in terms of extracting the video (I managed to get the audio out - wahay!), cutting the movie and resynching the audio.
I had a quick flick through Adigitalman's guide but a lot of it left me confused and it looks like it is aimed at extracting from DVD.
Please help me get started.
Always found this movie interesting despite it being a cheesefest.
Looking forward to this release, keep up the good work!
Just wondering if any Brits managed to catch the Monkey Journey To The West show (the Damon Albard/Jamie Hewlett thing)?
Excellent news!
I have just noticed the two samples on the first page, however the sendspace links have expired. Can anyone here reupload it? Thanks.
Go back a few pages and you will find a few samples.
And focuspuller, great post! Thanks for your hard work on this.
Nice work! Can't wait for this.
SilverWook, you avatar pic is so cute! Wheres that from?
And McFly's cut contains all the violence from the theatrical right?
Wait, so the extended cut on the new DVD has violent scenes cut out?
Has anyone here released the Criterion Laserdisc commentaries in MP3 format?
I found this - http://youtube.com/watch?v=PqXiKYG3J7M
Looks pretty cool. Don't know if it will work with DVD tracks though.
Anyway it seems when I play the DVD through VLC and mute the centre channel I DO eliminate all the vocies!! So I'm happy now.
How do I go about mixing and mastering to sound coherent?
There are quite a few movies out there where an OST is not available.
I want to make one by ripping the music from the DVD. This has been fairly successful before where there is a 5.1 track available and all spoken bits come out of the centre channel only.
The movie I'm working on now, although has a 5.1 track, it seems dialogue also come out of the front L/R speakers. Is it possible remove these sounds from the music, or any techniques to subdue them?
Also are there any tips of normalising the levels to make all songs coherent and suitable for listening?
Thanks.
aaah I see now! I've had the xvid version for a while now which includes eng subtitles. Thinking about it, it probably came from this release! Never knew the original DVD didn't include the subs.
What was the purpose of this project?
There was a legitimate Japanese DVD of the extended cut was there not?
Has anyone attempted to put together the widescreen version with the missing song ‘Love Is Gone’ found in the 4:3 pan and scan version?
I know there were a lot of complaints when the R1 SE was released (even though both versions were included).
