Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

This release has sparked a childhood memory.  It brought me back to that fateful evening in 1977, where my life was changed forever.  Sure, I was only 5 years old, but I remembered it so vividly while watching this on my HD monitor.  My parents ended up divorcing three years after that, and I remember how intense it was, but this memory hit me like a ton of bricks.  We went as a family to see the film, and of course we were totally blown away, but the memory came as I was watching the part where the Tatooine and Death Star scenes were alternating.  Tatooine was so bright and natural, while the Death Star was cold and artificial.  Even at that age, I was able to respond and recognize the contrasts of the good guys and the bad guys.  The cinematography was just so powerful!

I feel so lucky to have had a new Star Wars memory, and I am still kind of shocked.  I really mean it Harmy, thank you so very much.  After all these years, and so many releases, this is a testament to just how close to the 1977 experience this release is.  I honestly do not remember ANY of the official releases conjuring a memory like I've had tonight.

Okay everybody,

I have taken down the torrent at 1337x and TPB.  I don't know where it happened, but I can confirm the MKV glitches around the 34 minute mark, and causes MPC to lock up and crash.  I guess that's what I get for just skimming before uploading it.  There's no way to tell when or where the fault occurred, so I'll be going after it on MySpleen and hopefully I'll have a better copy.  Between JDownloader and all the damn CAPTCHA's, WinRAR, and the act of downloading itself, I don't know where it happened, but it did.

My apologies, everyone.  "Hey, Your Worship, I'm just tryin' to help!"

*EDIT*

I have joined the swarm at MySpleen and I will seed my pants off.  I have incredible speed and will share as long as I am able.

The one from MySpleen also seems to have some extraneous files in the Project Threepio folder.

I can confirm this.  That is why I cleaned things up for 1337x and TPB.  I kept getting bencode errors at MS, so I'm glad someone was successful.  Those extraneous files account for the "difference" between the torrents.  Also, the html readme file had to be removed because they are not allowed with video files.

WOW.  V2.0 is the absolute SHIZNIT.  Harmy sir, you have brought quality to where I truly thought quality couldn't be brought.  I'd send a copy to LFL if I knew it would do any good.

I really don't know how you, or any of the folks here, work your magic, but hat's off to you sir.  I'm able to work some magic with with audio, and I've gotten pretty good over the years, but this stuff is just incredible.

This is now the definitive version for my HD equipment.  Period.

Oh gosh, I hadn't thought of that with the encoding error.  If you have a dual core Harmy, perhaps it's time to look into at least a quad core, especially when you tackle the BD version?  For me, I use a dual core and it can still take over two days to create a BD with a simple menu from an MKV that is 13GB+.

And let's not forget the "improvements" and "enhancements" for the upcoming 3D abomination!  At least we have Raiders of the Lost Ark coming to us in IMAX to celebrate the restoration and BD release.

Raiders also has cgi "improvements", lol. likely, you won't see the theatrical release.

Incorrect.  Spielberg has stated that the restoration is of the original 35mm negative, and things like the glass reflection of the cobra will not only be seen again, but in IMAX to boot.
