JOHN WILLIAMS: Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi Remastered/Remixed Edition (Released)

Why are you using the short version of the Fox Fanfare, or rather an edit of the Cinemascope version?  And the SE music from Jabba's Palace?  I'm guessing this isn't a restoration of the original then.  I'm still interested in hearing your final result for The Emperor Arrives.

I am (VERY SLOWLY) downloading the covers and wanted to ask, are they already at the proper size for a printer to produce them for a BD case?  Or, will they need to be resized?

I didn't do any resizing and they fit the BD case perfectly.

Thanks for the reply.  Did you just open the images (like with Image Viewer or the like) and print, or did you take them into a certain program, like for disc labeling and such?

That was not my intent and I apologize.  I in no way feel I am entitled to anything.  I was under the impression that the MKV wasn't going to get anymore attention, but now it is cleared up and I am aware that h_h is on the case.  I really didn't want to have to download the AVCHD so I was concerned.  So let's all please stop with the swipes at each other, and resume regular programming.

Sorry for the drama.  Back on topic!

No shit, Sherlock.  I am just venting my concern because it was stated that no new MKV files were going to be made by Harmy.  I see now that h_h is going to do the fix himself.  So, I patiently await the new information on the fix.

OK, so, the AVCHD will get a reupload once I mux it with the new tracks. The MKV won't!!! I'm just gonna add the info into the nfo and that's that. I'll make sure all audio is OK in the BD release.

So there will be no audio fixes for the MKV?  Isn't the AVCHD at a lower bitrate, making whatever fixes applied to it not as high in quality as the MKV?

This is going to get beyond frustrating before it's all over with.  Can someone just please confirm if the MKV is going to be fixed or not, and how to obtain the fix?

Thanks.

Lol dude, chill out.

hairy_hen (two pages ago) said that he'll be re-releasing the 640kbps AC3 as well.

You can use either the 640kbps AC3 or the 448kbps AC3 with the already-released MKV; you just have to remux it yourself - because, as Harmy said in the above quote, he won't be remuxing the MKV - or else use the dub functionality in Media Player Classic.

In any case, hairy has also said that the issues are far less pronounced with the 640kbps AC3 originally released on the mkv:

Outside of the first 30 secs of it (the Fox Fanfare), I didn't notice any issues with it on my surround system, anyway.

I'll "chill out" once I know the situation is resolved.  I hope there will be instructions and links to any programs we might need when the fixed audio is available.

I showed this to a couple friends on the 40" HDTV with THX-certified speakers and subwoofer.  They were thoroughly impressed, and one of them went and brought their external drive so they could have it.

Although everything is digital and HD, it took us back to the 1977 experience, without blatantly exposing the limitations of the cinema experience back then.

I think that is what 2.0 is all about, and my hat's off to you, Harmy!
