So now I'm not allowed to post in any thread that I happen to disagree with or find foolish? Seriously Shim, quit being so anal. If everyone followed your advice, then the Off Topic section wouldn't even be here (especially the Politics thread ). Don't get all bitchy at me just because I think your girlfriend's blog thread is some of the most inane drivel currently on this little thing we call the internet. At least I'm not bitching about how evil the mods here are or any of that.

Newsflash: People tend to disagree with what other people like and don't like. Get used to it.

oh my you seriously wanna argue your point here, there is a difference between how your acting and what your stating. if your gonna post something thats constructive, post all u want, but if you gonna whine or post pics jsut cause you dont like the topic of the thread thats flaming. and thats what your doing. the politics thread, people dont agree but when they post they dont say, this is all crap, who cares about politics your guys are idiots for even talking about it, do they? stop sitting on your high horse saying you have the right to post where ever you want, and if you want to flame you have the right to flame. sure its true you do but your posts are pointless, is that what youw want? to be pointless. i honestly dont know why your being such an ass, you never were an ass before this whole other site business.

Seems to me like you're the only one that seems to have a problem with my "flaming".

And now, for this post, I'm going to post something completely pointless, but has never been considered "flaming":

KAKAPEEPEE!!!!!!!!!!!

Peace.

Sluggo's Star Wars Trailer Contest *Next contest begins April 25th*
Time
Damn, what horrible timing! I had an idea for a trailer, but my dad practically destroyed the computer over the weekend and all my video editing software is gone!

I was going to take the audio from the "Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Tertiary Phase" radio show and synchronizing it with Star Wars footage (such as Earth exploding = Alderaan blowing up with Admiral Ackbar as Prostetnic Vogon Jelts, etc.)

Peter Jackson evidently IS returning for The Hobbit...sort of...

Beorn is perhaps one of the most interesting aspects of the story! That's why I'd almost want to see jackson make the movie. (I'm sure a guy like him could apreciate a story element surrounding a large, hairy man who can turn into a bear.)

Hell, if he hadn't lost all that weight, he could've played Beorn!

I'm sorry, that was way more harsh than it should've been. I started the post off with a purpose and I got carried away near the end. I apologize.

This is the main point I have issues with though:

Of course, it is not that hard to not post links to that "other website" but that is not point. The question is, is it right to ban links to that "other website" and let people like dinkins and others do all they do? I do not believe so. Perhaps it does create a feud, but is the feud created when the link is posted, or by its deletion?

You can feel free to quote the Constitution all you want, but this whole "freedom of expression" thing that the FE-ers have been touting does not apply here. This forum is a private institution that Jay pays for, and as a result, he can censor whatever the hell he wants. He had personal issues with a website, and that's his right to do that. If I remember correctly, he asked people to remove the links, but they refused. He therefore deleted the links for them because they didn't do what he asked of them, and so they bitched and moaned about freedom of speech and all this other stuff and eventually left. Jay is not at fault here.

Again, sorry I blew up at you. I'm just starting to get sick of this stuff. I would've thought people here would've been mature enough to move on by now. Apparently I was wrong.

Watching the forum, my ass. I'd be willing to bet money you're one of the same FE people that's been bitching for the past few months. I'd bet most on either seanwookie or boon23, and I don't think even boon23 cares that much about this place anymore.

I've been on a few forums in the past few years, and this is my favorite by far. It's the most loosely moderated forum I've ever been on. The only people that feel the wrath of the mods deserve it in the first place. Jay says not to post links to FE...don't fucking do it! It's not that hard! If you do, all it does is piss everybody off and spark a feud that would've been easily avoidable.

AWK was a slimy disgrace to humanity that deserves waay more punishment in life than being banned from a forum. Stinky-Dinkins, on the other hand, cracks jokes at people that annoy him, and most of the time they deserve it. Check the hot.like.fire thread (around page 10, if I'm not mistaken) to see what I'm talking about. If you were a mod, and you banned Stinky, you wouldn't be a mod much longer. You'd have people calling you a little bitch, sort of like I'm doing right now.

You say that Jay is in the wrong by telling people to leave if they don't like it. Well, if I had a choice between people like you bitching all the time, or people like you leaving, I'd choose the latter.

In summary:

Shut The Fuck Up.

Thank you.

I love how most of those "most important people" frequented the OT.com Myspace page, aka the "Hot.like.fire thread".

I love how you're able to assign importance to other posters.

I've never had a problem with you Sean. I've liked you, actually. You've been generally pleasant to talk to. But if you're gonna act like an asshole, then go ahead and leave.

Doors and asses have a magnetic attraction, so be careful.

I think this thread is a few months too late, Sean. Seriously, nobody cares about the OT vs. FE situation anymore.

Actually, I'm wrong. I went on FE the other day and I counted some three different threads where people were still bitching about Jay and the mods here.

I think I'd rather stay at the place that's moved on than the place that's still freakin' bitter about it.

PS3 or Wii?
Time
My friend got a Wii last night, and after a healthy dose of Zelda and Wii Sports, I must say this.

Wii wins. Period. This console is going to dominate the market for this generation. This is quite possibly the greatest console...ever. I don't think I've ever been this blown away by a new console. It's just....WOW!

I must have one.

The Thief and the Cobbler: Recobbled Director's Cut (Released)
Time
Originally posted by: TServo2049
I have thankfully never seen the Miramax cut until now. It's almost like some kind of sick, twisted joke...except it's not a joke. Jonathan Winters' running commentary (I cannot call it anything else) feels more like a poor attempt at either an MST3K-style riff job, or Bob Saget's stupid voiceovers on America's Funniest Home Videos.

It'd be morbidly funny if someone did a joke parody version of The Gold Rush, or the General, or some other classic silent comedy, with a Winters-style voiceover for Charlie Chaplin, or Buster Keaton, or whoever, spouting stupid jokes and random pop culture references...it'd be no more an insult than this...

Oh, am I glad I've watched the workprint and/or Recobbled Cut about a dozen plus times before ever seeing this train wreck...

Well, the re-release of The Gold Rush with Charlie Chaplin's narration is almost as bad. He ruins most of the jokes by describing them before they actually happen.

I remember reading a quote from somewhere that said the reason Chaplin became so famous in silent films was because that was the only way they could shut him up.
