Concerning Fan Edits
Time
MagnoliaFan's "Balance of the Force" and "The Clone Wars", which are edits of TPM and AOTC respectively, were my introduction to fan-edits, and they're both fantastic. I'd also keep my eye on Trooperman's "Shroud of the Dark Side" if I were you; it hasn't been released yet (I think the current deadline is March, but TM says he won't release it any later than May 25) but it looks to be the most ambitious fan edit to date.

Plus I provided a voice for it.

Hmm, I looked into the whole Bilbo and dragon thing a little more. Actually that whole sequence is very similar to parts of Beowulf. Tolkien borrowed plenty of things from plenty of different myths and legends. I think he would actually be proud that new writers and borrowing from the legend he wrote.

I've been meaning to bring this up as well. I remember reading Beowulf in school last year (and loving it, by the way), and it struck me that the dragon scenario sounded an awful lot like that in The Hobbit.

For those of you not familiar with Beowulf, there is a part in it where it tells about a dragon living in a mountain atop a vast collection of wealth. One day, a burglar shows up and steals a cup from the dragon's stockpile, and the dragon gets furious and burns a nearby village. Sound familiar to anyone?

We shall now get back to the topic at hand.

The Raptor Lord's Prayer:

Our Raptor,
Who art in /h/eaven,
shopped be Thy face;
Thy donations come,
Thy posts be done
in /b/ as it is in /h/eaven.
Give us this day our daily Bridget;
and forgive us our trolling
as we forgive those who troll against us,
and lead us not into faggotry,
but deliver us from /fur/ry.

Amen.
