I also hear "Love Actually" is very good, though I've never seen it. It seems to have the sort of Brit humor that I like so much though.

I'm gonna play devil's advocate on this one and pick the PC over the Mac. Why? Because it's such a pain in the ass to find compatible software. If I'm about to download or buy a program, I have to check to see if it's Mac-compatible first. It's like the vegetarian of the computer world.

Also, I mainly use my PC for gaming and video editing, and it's even more of a pain in the ass to find Mac-compatible games.

Not to mention the fact that the only good Mac-compatible torrent client is Azureus, which I hate.

I might be getting to see this movie next weekend, so to give myself an idea of what I would be in for, I rented "The Devil's Backbone," which is also a Guillermo del Toro film. One of the best ghost story movies I've ever seen. 9/10

Hmm, I seem to be a mix. I act more or less like a geek ( see the Raptor Jesus thread) but I don't look or dress like one (or at least, not the one in that picture). Button-down shirts, jeans, and sneakers are common fair.

I have yet to see "The Devil's Backbone," but I saw "Cronos" and I thought it was just sort of "meh."

And I've only seen screenshots of this movie so far, and is it just me, or do the monsters look awfully "Hellboy"-ish?

Burned into the frame sounds great! It just looks better that way. The player-generated letters always look blocky and not-quite-right.

Final Fantasy X is a good game. It redesigns a LOT about the Final Fantasy system--no over-world, and the battle system now takes place based on turn progression instead of whoever gets their little meter charged up first. There's a lot of strategery to it, and the game isn't as ridiculously unbalanced as the older games.

But see, the main thing I hate about RPGs, and the thing that in turn causes me to dislike most RPGs entirely, is turn-based combat. To me, that's just not fun; it's boring.

Any enjoyment I could have ever gained from RPG's was killed permanently by a little game called Quest 64. Other than a few small exceptions (like Pokemon when I was about 10) I just can't get into RPG's (Even KotOR).
