This is one of the greatest and most amusing things I have ever read! I am now more proud than ever to be a member of originaltrilogy.com!

"The site is also notorious for its handful of extremely vulgar and disrespectful members, who enjoy tormenting sensitive people and people who disagree with them and running them off the site, and its corrupt moderator, Moth3r, who abuses his power and encourages all the offensive behavior on the site. Such victims of these actions are Warbler, Adamwankenobi, ZigFried, and many others.

Several complaints about Originaltrilogy.com were sent to the Internet Police Corporation known as ICANN, and they are currently looking into either cleaning up the site's dirty act, or simply shutting it down."

I am very curious as to who wrote this. Seems like it was written by the very sort who would put me on their ignore list. Or maybe is was one of those damn orcs from a few years back...

So, just out of curiousity, can someone please explain to me how these ICANN jokers would have the ability to clean up our "dirty act" (makes it sound like we are in the porn business) or shut us down? Sounds like a bunch of BS to me.

TADA!!!

Seriously, what a petty little fuckwit.

Welcome to a Liberal Democrat society.**

**I've been drinking a little bit, so please excuse my more than ordinary pissed offfedness at liberals for ruining our society.

That's funny, I would have said that sharp political divides and partisanship were ruining our society.

Sure.  We blame the liberals for the partisanship and sharp political divides... so original statement still stands!  :)

I've always thought it was odd how most geeks have the same interests in common.  Have any of you ever wondered why that is?  Most of us seem to like science fiction, comic books, anime, computers, etc.

It's weird to think about, but it does give us a culture of our own.

I somewhat shamefully participate in the following geek activies:
Love Sci-Fi
Post multiple times a day on a website dedicated to part of the Star Wars saga
Play a lot of videogames
Collect Action figures
Have action figures on my desk at work
Read and collect Comic Books
Enjoy new technologies
Enjoy serious western cartoons (Batman TAS for example)
etc...

So whenever someone starts talking about anime, I think I should probably like it.  However... no matter how hard I try... I just can't seem to get into it.
They make some Matrix Anime and I think, "Maybe now I'll like it."  No.  They make Halo anime and I think, "Maybe now I'll like it."  No.
I guess I'm a broken geek.  Only most of me works.  Maybe it's this new robotic hand I got.  Perhaps it makes me more machine than geek.

:(

You're not alone, xhonzi. I've never really been a fan of anime either (Dragon Ball's all right, but I haven't really enjoyed much else). I'd say I can relate to just about everything else on your list there, except maybe comic books (too short for me; I dig a good graphic novel though). Then again, I'm in college majoring in physics so I think it'd be more of a surprise if I wasn't into any of those things. :P

Eh, I'm gonna hold off on the DB season sets.  Yes, I agree with you, Nanner, that it's amazing to finally get the first 13 episodes, but I'd prefer to wait for the (hopefully it'll happen) DB Dragon Box, so I can get the credits and next episode previews and not have the English title cards.

They did it again?! What the hell, FUNimation?! I swear, their business decisions almost make George Lucas look sane.

G.I. Joe: Worst Movie Ever Made? OR... No, Really, It's the Worst Movie Ever Made

To me, a good movie is something that keeps me entertained for the ~2 hours you invest in it. Nothing more, nothing less. Make a film with as much symbolism and underlying themes as you want. Congratulations, you've made "art". I don't pay 10 bucks a head for art. In that respect, I immensely enjoyed both Transformers 2 and G.I. Joe.

Well, that was my problem.  I simply didn't enjoy G.I. Joe.  I agree with you that movies don't have to be art to be enjoyable, but I didn't find this at all enjoyable.  I was squirming in my seat the entire time hoping it would end soon and wondering why I had let my friends talk me into seeing it.  It's been, what, three months now, and I'm still scarred over that!

That's exactly how I felt when I watched "Boondock Saints". It almost seems like a requirement that every college kid is supposed to love it (just about all my friends do), but the whole time I was like "When on earth is this movie going to end?"
