Kick-ass horror movies
Time
I'd have to say the "Evil Dead" trilogy is at the top of my list, and Rob Zombie's "House of 1000 Corpses" was pretty good. I just got done watching "The Prophecy", which was.....okay. Viggo Mortensen made a surprisingly good Lucifer. "Candyman" was also pretty good.

In this thread, I was kinda hoping some horror movie buffs could enlighten us on some of the more obscure gems of the genre. I've taken quite an interest in horror films in the last few months and the local Blockbuster is sort of lacking.

I'm sick and tired of all the new "horror" movie crap that Hollywood comes out with these days, like "House of Wax" and "The Grudge". Whatever happened to the good old days, when zombie movies were actually interesting and you actually got scared while watching these flicks? If not actually scary, then at least good, "Evil Dead" style. What are some more awesome horror flicks?

Etherea: Dark Genesis- A New In-The-Works MMORPG: HELP WANTED
Time
This was originally in the video games thread, but I thought I'd give it its own thread in case anyone wants to participate in this. Here's the original post:

Quote

Listen up, all you MMORPG fans. I have a friend named Robert Lee, a senior in high school, who is hard at work on founding his new video game company. His company's first game, "Etherea: Dark Genesis", is already in the works but will probably not be completed until next year. He already has about 20 college-level programmers working on this thing, as well as writers (and I am probably going to begin work as one of these), and the game will probably be free to download with a $5 monthly fee.

For more info, click here: Etherea: Dark Genesis

If you would like to input, any suggestions would also be welcome and appreciated.

Any fan-fic-ers out there who want to do some original work, here's your chance. And who knows? Maybe if you beg hard enough Robert will consider making the Mangler Bros. into a police force on there or something.
