About yourself
Time
The oldest here at the mo at 32, married, work in administration at a hospital in London, big fan of the original Star Wars film, like all the other five though think Empire is the only other classic out of them, in my spare time collect DVD/films and have a huge collection at home and like socialising at the weekend especially Saturdays.

News on the TV Series if Anyone Cares.
Time
I will probably watch the first episode out of curiosity but if I think it stinks(which I hope doesnt) I wont bother again, now I dont my see myself being interested in Star Wars much longer so by the time its released I will more than likely not be frequenting forums to find out news so I will going in blind watching it, I dont like SCI-FI tv and will only watch the first episode because of the Star Wars name, so it will have to good to give me the remotest chance of sticking with the series.

Another Form Of Protest?
Time

I think some people will return them to shops anyway after they have seen the video and it being non ano on the second disc which im sure is not advertised on the packaging, not everyone goes on the net and knows what they are getting, Im sure they will be advertised as SW unaltered so they will think it is the main event on the disc and that the video is good etc etc.

Shops will be wise eventually to the quality of the release so it will expecting these to be returned, so it may not have an impact.

first viewing of the 2006 OOT dvds
Time

I dont think we will see the originals again in any format, or this will sell well, From what I have read people are avoiding these like the plague and people are seeking bootlegs or keeping existing ones but not paying big money for three separate non laser transfer, the only hope IMO is if Lucasfilm run out of stuff to put on DVD or another format to sell more units of the current definitive edition of the original trilogy and will it treated better then who knows.

WHO LIKES To drink
Time
I like to drink still though not as much as when I was younger, I was quite a drinker, I would be out on all day sessions down the pub on a Saturday or partying round someones house or at a club, and after work straight down the pub week nights til closing time, and go in hung over to work the next day sometimes, with only Sunday usually as a rest day, especially during the summer. Nowadays Im settled down, I dont drink as much, but still like my Saturday drink either with some mates round town or take the wife down the local and have a drink there.

James bond collection
Time

I already have the complete set of Bond on DVD at the moment, the only ones that interest me at the moment are the Region 1 Tommorow Never Dies and Goldeneye Ultimate Edition ones as the UK ones I have BBFC censor cuts, and I would like to add the uncut ones to the collection, though I could be tempted by the re-mastered Connery ones one day.

But remember, Lucas isn't doing any remastering, so the X0 project probably WILL end up looking better than the official releases.

I don't know about that- even though the XO is one of the best LD players ever made (along with the X9), they're still using laserdiscs as source material - whereas Fox is using the laserdisc masters which undoubtedly are of higher quality than the actual LDs.

I am gonna gamble that the XO is gonna be better, Im not paying full whack for DVDs I have(the 2004) and a bonus non ano laser transfer which is slightly better than my fan preserved sets which I am happy with, they are charging more or less full price online here in the UK and if I import from the US I will have to pay custom charges as they are over a certain amount, and I have better things than these to spend my money on, the only way is if they are reduced in a sale

End of SE ROTJ...
Time

I dont mind the planets celebrating and the new music change instead of Yub Nub, its just Hayden(even though I dont mind him in the PT) instead of Sebastian Shaw that I just find unbearable to watch, I wanted to throw my TV out of the window the first time I saw him there, and have only seen once since and have no plans to again.

Why the PT fans love the PT so much, not as diehard as we think
Time

If I have to be honest I like the PT though I dont worship every second of it and consider them to be cinematic masterpieces, but I find the story interesting enough and find them enjoyable enough to watch as entertainment for two hours, and as I explained before in the other thread I dont particulary care/have no interest in/for the whole 12hr saga bit so I dont need or want to get into it that deep and be as "geeky" like they do at TF.n. and other places

I am not gonna buy them when they come out as I have enough OT fan DVDs at home to last me a lifetime. Im waiting til Nov/Dec if I buy them as they will have hopefully dropped down as some of the online DVD sites have sales around then and its a low price I dont care so much about this anyway anymore Im personally more excited about XO Project and would rather give money to that.

Say the SE release in theaters bombed in 1997?
Time
I have to say I supported the SE quite well back in 1997 (unfortunately now with the situation), going the see Star Wars at least 9 times, Empire at least 5 times and Jedi at least 3 times as it was good to see Star Wars back at the cinema, but if I had forseen the situation of what has happened with the OOT and Georges seemingly lack of respect for it now I wouldnt have so keen to support it so much probably. As for changes themselves I was scratching my head at the cinema at some, but it was on my Birthday when I got my SE tapes the things I was uncertain on I then disliked but I still watched them along with my sets of OOT tapes.

Watched ROTS on HBO, UGGGH!
Time

Im probably in the minority but I still like and enjoy the film (as I did when first saw it last May) though not as much as the Star Wars or The Empire Strikes Back, It does have its "bad" moments IMO such as the balcony scene which I did groan at when I saw it the cinema, but it does have some good moments in it such as Order 66 and The Duel etc.

I personally think it is the best of the PT and like it as much as Return of the Jedi, though Jedi is maybe a better film.

The last time you saw one of the Star Wars films
Time

Its been over a month since me and the Mrs watched some Star Wars movies the last two we watched were actually Attack of the Clones and Star Wars 77, were not really that interested in watching it in George's order 1-6 as we havent the time and as we have seen it as he intended once, we cant be bothered to do so again so we just pick the ones we feel like watching when do want to watch one,

We like watching all types of films and what with the excitement of the World Cup over here and everything else happening at home its becoming a bit of a occasion when we actually do throw in a Star Wars film to watch and it is more than generally we throw in an OT film, but we do throw in PT film as well some of the time.

Remember when everyone hated Return of the Jedi?
Time
I have never hated Jedi since I saw it in its first run in 83 and the only SW film Ive only ever really had hate for at one time or another is TPM though appreciate it slightly more nowadays, and when I was growing up everyone I seemed to know seemed to like though probably not as much as the original Star Wars film or TheEmpire Strikes Back it does I feel a half decent job of finishing the saga/trilogy though the story could have been collapsed better maybe and the Ewoks were the start of a certain cuteness into the series.
