Poll: Do You Think the OUT will be Released Again in '07?
Time
No, I know LFL go back on their word, but it all depends what state the OOT is in, as said I just cant see him spending the big bucks restoring something he doesnt like, so if the OOT is in a good state, maybe then a half decent transfer will be available but it will not be for a while, if ever, the only way I honestly think it will ever been seen again is if SE sales decline and they need a product to slap on with the SE, like this release to sell another set of DVDs or whatever, even then it may not restored to industry standards.....

'THE INVADERS' - A Quinn Martin production (Released)
Time

This used to be one of my favourite programs when I was younger and would like to see some sort of offical release or made into a project by someone if possible, I have seen boots of it going on e-bay at one time, but I havent seen it on TV for quite a while now, the other one I would like to see released also is I believe another Quinn Martin production The Fugitive which was another favourite of mine that has yet to see an official release.

How George Lucas created the O-OT fanbase...
Time

I dont think we will ever see it again in all honesty, I think they pretty much drew the line with this release, and I just cant see uncle George getting his wallet out to spend the bucks bringing it upto standards for any type of proper release seeing as he isnt keen on it anyway. This has been a diaster and this DVD release doesnt look it going to be sell shiploads anyway, so I do think this is the last release,

The hopes for a good OOT IMO lie with the X0 team, and not some future release from Lucasfilm.........

How George Lucas created the O-OT fanbase...
Time
I agree the OOT is the only Star Wars product im interested now, though I dont mind the majority of the SE changes and I dont mind the Prequels either, but I have no real interest in the the whole 6 film saga at all, so I couldnt care less about changes which tie the films together etc. All I want now is the performances and the films which Ive seen for the last so many years, because there are good, and like the nostalgia when watching those old films for two hours, had this situation with changes and the whole saga thing been done years ago when I was younger I would have been interested more in Prequel tie ins and what not, like the younger fans are today, but at my age all I want to do sit back and watch the old films, be entertained for two hours with a bit of nostalgia thrown in, so I am another one cant see myself purchasing further boxsets or releases without the OOT as the new editions wont interest me and I couldnt care less about any future bonus material stuff such as documentries etc.....

DVD WRITING CAMPAIGN - WEEK ONE - "Entertainment Weekly"
Time
I dont think you will achieve anything writing to places like these, as hardly any I think will go against George as he is quite powerful/popular man.

If you want to do something along these lines which may be better ,you could try alertting DVD magazines/reviewers(also stores) to the quality of this "bonus" OOT release as they been previewing them I assume without seeing them (defin here in the UK they have big priviews) to let readers know because I would very surprised if LFL will actually send to reviewers a copy of these, as they will get torn shreds if they are as bad as been assumed, and LFL have done nothing disprove the quality of this release, but I am sure they still be pushing the bonus feature(the OOT) with in store posters in store promotions as the main selling point of the DVD and not every comes on the net and knows and thinks it a good standard product so some customers will be unaware.

just an idea.

.: Revenge of the Jedi 0.83 MS Edition :. (* unfinished project *)
Time

This looks an interesting re-edit as Jedi would be the one IMO, would need the most rediting out of all the original trilogy films, will you be doing the same type of re-editing for the other films in the trilogy like this, one point if you are de-prequellizing in your edit you may want to remove Coruscant in the end celebration aswell as that is a prequel-tie in change...

***The "Darth Editous" Episode V DVD Info and Feedback Thread*** - a work in progress
Time
Thanks for pics seen so far, this edit is already looking great, and hopefully will turn out just as great as your ANH edit, I am wondering will the kiss between Leia and Luke be kept, as this was the only change I disagreed with that Adigitalman made for all of his great editions, and have you decided whats being done about Vader landing on The Executor/Death Star II, will it be cut, as will all of the footage, or will you do what ADM did and just keep the shuttle in flight shot..

I actually have something intelligent to say.
Time
I and all here have no intention of following your crusade to sue George/Lucasfilm or anyone else connected with Star Wars just because we unfortunately didnt get what we desired off them, because it will give this group a bad name and we would all end up looking rather foolish if we tried, and I dont think any of us here are that stupid anyway to even attempt to try it.

Keith if you want to go to ahead and sue them, please dont think I am stopping you, but is it worth it, and you are, I think, smarter than you are acting and you know you are talking utter bullshit, and is it worth bashing the the man constantly in the threads you keep starting, and giving an unfavourable impression to people who might visit the site.....

Expecting too much of George Lucas?
Time

I agree with whats being said about Star Wars, to me it is still a magical film even after all these years and works great as the standalone film it was/is with a beginning and an end, and am a bigger fan of this film than any of the other five as well, but at the same time not really disliking any of the others.

I watch them all now as standalone films, and have no real interest in or the time to get into of all this "Darth Vader's story" bit that Star Wars is now supposed to be about, I am at point now where if I feel like being entertained for 2 hrs and fancy abit of SW, I will stick one in, and alot of time it will be the original......

What is the rarest video in your collection?

The Punisher - Director's Cut (R2 German - Limited to 500 pieces) - This is the Lundgren version, don't even know what its worth.
Stone Cold (R2 Japan - Limited Pressing) - Took me a long time to find this, right time, right place. Was expensive but worth it. Only widescreen release ever of the Bosworth classic.

The Beyond (R1 US - OOP) - Anchor Bay release of this Fulci horror classic gets $50 plus easy on eBay.

I have that, The Punisher - Uncut Print thats limited to 500 it also includes the workprint cut of the film about 15mins of extra footage, I got mine for about 24 euros a couple of weeks ago, I have been looking for Stone Cold on DVD for ages but can only found bootleg DVDs of it and I have The Beyond but on the Fulci collection two disc set with House By The Cemetry which is going for about $80.00 on ebay...

Finally Hocked the SE
Time
I havent thrown or given away my 2004 set it sits in my DVD collection with all my other DVDs even though it isnt really my preffered way of viewing the original films, and I have other O.T "DVDs" at home and am happy with them, so I view them, as for the PT DVDs I still watch them,I dont mind them really and enjoy them when I feel like watching them so I wont get rid of them, All my other Star Wars stuff like all my OOT & SE VHS other SW DVDs books and other bits and pieces have been packed away in bags as havent the room in the house to keep them around.

POLL: Are you buying the Star Wars DVDs released on September 12, 2006?
Time
I dont mind spending my money on old Georges products but with these ones I have voted no, primarily because I have a 16/9 widescreen TV and am sure I will suffer video quality loss(which wont be perfect to start with) when I zoom in, I assume, and having to buy the 2004 edition again for me at full price just for these non ano lasderdisc transfers just isnt worth it for me at the moment unless the picture is good, I agree with Zombie if do buy it one it would be Star Wars.
