(especially after watching the entire "clone wars" cartoons - in my eyes they really demonstrate how difficult it must have been to make the prequels as bad as they are).

So is it the general consensus around here that the Clone Wars animated series is "on the level" of the OT?

Not for me, i would take the Prequels anytime over the Clone War cartoons, i didnt like them at all, i thought they are overated..........

Questions about AOTC
Time

I personally think things should have been explained or seen in the films and not in a series of books, winki, explained by some Lucasfilm official or in any future TV series, i thought that was the whole idea of the Prequel films was to answer all our questions, and not have left questions unanswered or new questions to be answered...

Well, I still stand by my earlier response that he probably wanted revenge over her screwing up his trade franchise.

Thats what I have thought from day 1, werent we told he had 4 trials for the invasion of Naboo in the aftermath of Phantom Menace so maybe he wanted some sort of revenge for that

Goosebump lines

Binary Sunset aside, one of the scenes that gives me huge goose bumps is the part where Luke attacks Vader in ROTJ and the music swells to dramatic portions. You see Luke's saber strike harder and faster and the music is Luke's theme but all dark and somber and you see son against father in a final emotional battle ... wow. I've got chills on my arms just thinking about it.

And it's not in the movie, but a longer extended version of the Funeral Pyer music brings me to tears every single time I hear it.

I love the Binary Sunset scene so much when im watching Star Wars i rewind the DVD at least once to see it again and feel the effect of the music, and other one than gives me goosebumps is the introduction of the Super Star Destroyer with the Imperial March playing in Empire, and even now all these years later imo it is still an amazing sequence and imo not matched in the Prequels with everything available to George....

It amazes and saddens me too, that some people put Star Wars bottom of a list of Star Wars movies, and one reason they give it is boring, to me its the best, and I will always put it above Empire Strikes Back, as said many times before Empire is the better made film but Star Wars remains imo the one true all time Classic Lucas has directed, and i think many have said as now its Vaders story has ruined Star Wars partly as the film is clearly not his story but Lukes and Vader is just the villian.

ROTJ Script help
Time

I also liked the Had Abbadon scenario and the whole script, it would have great if they had gone with it instead of a second Death Star.but then to me personally i didnt/dont mind a second Death Star being used, my problems are with the Jabba scenes i feel go on too long to the detriment of the rest of the story, but I still do feel Return of the Jedi gets unfair critism by people, though it is not as good as Star Wars or Empire Strikes Back...

Noooo! "Westworld" remake initiated by Schwarzenegger in 2003?!
Time
That to me it isnt so much remakes of foreign films for an American/English speaking audience who have different tastes etc which is bad, though some are inferior ones such as Point of no Return(La Femme Nikita) The Vanishing etc I cant judge the Japanese to American ones i have only seen the The Ring and not Ringu or any others, so they may be superior, it remakes of films such as maybe Westworld Planet of the Apes The Stepford Wives etc and all these horror remakes House of Wax Amityville Horror etc which I am getting sick and bored with....

The Sad State Of Star Wars
Time
As an older fan to me it is sad to see the fans at war like this, i assumed it might happen with The Prequels but not at the level it seems to have reached.

But it is sad or should i say happy this is the one of very few places i feel with my taste in Star Wars films i feel totally comfortable posting in, yes IMDB is a joke alot i read is rubbish, but at TFN its just as bad sometimes (except the Bashers Sanctuary which is interesting because they do talk about stuff other than SW as well) ,with people lobbying for changes and then moaning when someone wants the O.O.T, constant arguing, little talk about the films etc and some people who post there you have to love every minute George does unless you are likely to be jumped on by them and grilled, and i do feel that if people can lobby for changes to the movies, people can lobby for the Theatrical Cuts to me it swings both ways as long as both are done within reason....

Adam, we know where you stand on that, just allow other people to have a different stance. Some people don't believe starwars to be the first three prequels but just the last three. Cut people some slack.

What I am saying is that you cannot state as fact that the prequels are not part of Star Wars. You can only say it as our opinion.

To be fair, we all do it even you here and elsewhere have stated things as fact when it comes to things Star Wars even if things are not the case. i think he was just saying that he sees Star Wars as just three films and nothing else if true, we know you love everything Star Wars except Greedo firing but you cant expect everyone who likes Star Wars to be the same as you and love it all
