Really? I love that film

I was dissapointed in it as a remake,I really like the original Day of the Jackal, and expected it to be IMO less what i found to be an action/thriller film, I expected it to be more the thriller the original was, and didnt find Bruce Willis to be a good "jackal"

I agree with what your saying Scotty the quality of the films for me definatly dropped after The Empire Strikes Back. though I probably dont dislike the others as much as you.

I agree OOT is the best where you dont see it at all, and it isnt necessary to see it in context of the film, but ive always found that shuttle in flight shot a nice one to look at visually, but what possessed him to add those scenes into Empire in the first place I dont know

Yeah that Vader shuttle sequence was in from 97, i always hated the new dialouge, the shot of him walking the platform and landing on the Executor but quite liked the shot of the shuttle in flight from 97 onwards, it didnt seem necessary to have them in there, ADM cut those crappy bits out, changed the dialouge and kept the shuttle flying in his Empire SE and the whole thing works better.

Thats fake, that was doing the rounds on IMDB a year ago, the guy who did (tony707) it was proved to be a liar, someone at IMDB took that list to T.F.n and they concluded it was fake.

Same here I am not gonna buy them, the only reason why im curious is im wondering as they are pretty recent, will it just be effects touch-ups, or major things like deleted or added scenes in the film or something else, you just never know with George..

I think that it should be mentioned in the letter the work here the fans are doing to preserve the OOT because if they arent doing it with the situation as it is, it would only be a few bootlegers on ebay or whatever who would be keeping the thetarical cuts from extinction and not available on a decent format to anyone who isnt willing to pay bootleggers.

I have a Halloween 2 - ultimate cut on DVD which i got off Rikter which is the TV scenes put into the film, and have the Halloween TV version on an official Anchor Bay DVD, and that is one thing i would to see is both Halloween and Halloween 2 edited in to one film.

I used to like Rap music,one of my favs was Ice Cube especially the "Amerikkas most wanted" album and when he was in NWA, i dont think hes that bad an actor either I especially liked him in Trespass and Boyz "N" the hood.

No its true, these Muslim clerics and people like Abu Hamza get lots of benefits of our goverment, there was another "famous" case here in the papers of Sheik Omar Bakri who preached anti-western hatred and praised suicide attacks he had a top model range rover and all these benefits to live like a king in London while claiming he was unfit to work, while he was preaching here.

This was one thing I have always thought was wrong with Prequel story by Lucas, that everyone seemed to be interconnected eg Yoda knowing Chewie Vader & 3PO etc that it did make the universe seem rather small, when in the originals it seemed alot more vast and the story now is less believable for me

Im very glad he has finally being punished for his hateful rants against the United Kingdom and non Muslims, and this should send a message to the radical element here in the UK that this wont be tolerated by the authories anymore, just as i am sure it isnt tolerated in the United States and other countries.

Didnt care about speculation for the next two, back in 99 TPM killed my enthuasim for Star Wars for years and as a result made no effort to see Clones straight away when it was released, same with Sith not interested in the speculation only got interested in the hype about a month before seeing it opening day

I agree not involving anyone close to George. the magazine articles sounds a good idea but it cant be too anti-Lucas if we want any sympathy, I also think there needs to be more attention drawn to this site through whatever, i have personally let people know from other sites, who want the oot, to come here and they mentioned theyve never heard of this site, the petition and the work that goes on here to preserve the oot.

I have the 2004 Edition it was a birthday present. no Harrison Ford isnt on the commentry and I thought it was an interesting commentry and the only change mentioned was Hayden,I believe,I only bothered to watch the 2004 films twice and listen to the commentry once, before finding this place where I got the O.O.T and the fan-editted SEs to watch instead...
