Surely this has to be marked down as the greatest collab fanedit ever made? It’s definitely been a labour or love for so many but I bet you’re so glad to put it to bed now, Hal?
As I’ve been accused of copying other editors in my previous projects for not posting my early work here. I thought I’d get ahead of the curve and try to be the first to announce an Acolyte film cut. This may work out to be 2 movies but the way it’s going, I’ll be able to turn this show into a true murder mystery.
I’ve already edited the first 4 episodes the currently run at 1:08:36h so if the next 4 have shorter runtimes it should make a nice single film length.

・Removed as many terrible delivered lines as I could with it still making sense.
・Removed Sol overly explaining himself in almost every scene.
・Removed Unnecessary naked Jedi.
・Removed mind reading.
・Removed Awkward “I’m flexible” line.
・Removed Failed attempt at main character using Jedi powers.
・Removed Ai written dialogue and scene feature Smylo Ren.
・Removed most of Mae’s scenes (The less we see the more mysterious she is).
・Removed Mae fighting with Torbin forcefield and his death.
・Removed Mae and poison shop keeper scene.
・Removed most of Mae dialogue in forest.
・Removed entire Episode. 3.
・Rearrange entire end sequence of episode 4.
・Rearrange Sol vs Smylo Ren fight scene as one long scene.
・Rearrange Mae vs Jecki fight as one long scene.
・Make Yord seen smarter by saying less.
・Sol recognising Mae as an imposter but quicker.
・Cut out all the sexual tension and nudity.
・Removed silly slapstick jokes and foolery.
・Removed Most of Vernestra subplot.
・Removed all Planet name text.
・Removed entire Episode. 7.
・Removed Basil shorting out the ship (Why did he do that?)
・Gave Plagueis a better location and apprentice
・Removed Yoda end scene.
・I won’t spoil them all but this film cut is shaping up to be awesome pretty cool.

I’m 15 mins in to the workprint and I’m already amazed at how many differences you guys have achieved since I helped with V1 and V2. Absolutely awesome! Who did the new Rey darkside flashback and the healing graphics in the book? I had to compare to the original just to double check.

INTENTIONS: Some of you may be familiar with the title of this movie but for those that aren’t, this was the name of the Vietnam movie mentioned in True Romance. It was never meant to be a real Quentin Tarantino film but after a great brainstorming session during the MR True Romance watch party, I thought I’d give it a go. I aim to make a coherent movie using as many scenes from popular Vietnam films during the late 70s and 80s. The intention is to create the most expensive War movie ever made, not only with Hollywood’s biggest star studded line-up but also including some of the largest explosions and battle scenes caught on film during this era. Along with a killer soundtrack.
MOVIES USED: Full Metal Jacket, Born of the 4th July, Forrest Gump, Platoon, Good Morning Vietnam, Casualties of War, The Deer Hunter, Apocalypse Now, Jacob’s Ladder.

The goal for this chapter is to hide Din’s second face reveal (Easier said than done), tighten up the story, Make Boba more of an equal to Din and replace Disney’s awful Luke deepfake that really pulled me out of such an amazing season climax.

This Chapter was fairly easy compared to the others. No major story changes or issues with any of the episodes. We’ve mainly just fixed continuity errors, tightened up the dialogue, removed awful attempts at comedy and given Grogu more of an arc so he actually learns something in this movie.

This is the on-going Chronological cut of both The Book of Boba fett & The Mandalorian serie.
The main changes in this movie are the introduction of Cara Dune. the original series had a back and forth to this planet but we’ve given it a more linear timeline where it all happens in one appearence.
This whole re-edit removes any scenes where Din shows his face. This now gives the finale more weight and emotion.
Rearranging the village scenes to show a longer passing of time and give Din more of an emotional arch.

Yes, Coming Home in a Body Bag 2 was also mentioned in True Romance and if all goes well I aim to make this a trilogy based on story threads left open by this release. i.e. scenes from The Deer Hunter will lead in to the mental undoing of Robert De Niro as The Taxi Driver, and following Lt. Dan from Forrest Gump losing his legs in the war for Part 3, while Part 2 will be nothing but adrenaline filled action from stars like Stallone, Arnie and Chuck Norris.

Can you let me know what spelling mistake you’re referring to? Could it just be an English to American English spelling?
Also can you give me timestamps for the transition errors? Are you sure they’re not just deliberate J-Cuts and L-Cuts to help transitions?
Adding another 30 mins to this edit would take that away from Chapter II. I thought leaving it on a cliffhanger would make people want more, and it seems to be working 😉 I’ll release the next part once the Kenobi requests have settled.

Unpopular opinion but I couldn’t get through this series. It felt overly bloated and swayed way off track with subplots, to a point where it didn’t feel like a Cassian show at all. It was more like a Syril Karn eats Breakfast with his mother story which baffled me. This edit now focuses on Cassian’s story from the start, cuts out all the fluff and Syril almost completely, creating an incredibly emotional journey with our main protagonist. I may be biased but this is now some of my favorite Star Wars ever made, and that’s coming from someone who said they’d never bother with this series again. This is also now a linear movie trilogy instead of a series….
