Original Runtime: 2:01:47
MR Cut Runtime: 2:00:05
1920x800p

AC3 5.1 Surround Sound
Fanedit Type: FanMix

SYNOPSIS: Arthur Fleck, a socially awkward man working as a clown-for-hire, dreams of becoming a stand-up comedian. While juggling his small advertising job, he also cares for his ailing mother, Penny Fleck. As Arthur delves deeper into his mental illness, he uncovers unsettling truths about his past. Battling constant ridicule and rejection from society, he spirals into darkness, eventually giving rise to his infamous alter ego, the “Joker.”

INTENTIONS: While I didn’t dislike this movie when it was released, I felt it didn’t quite live up to the overwhelming hype. Arthur is portrayed as a loser too early, which sets the wrong tone for the audience from the start. In this edit, I aim to help viewers connect with Arthur on a deeper level, allowing them to experience his descent into madness more gradually, and in real time.

Coming Home in a Bodybag 2 by Movies Remastered (OUT NOW!)
Time

Synopsis:

Coming Home in a Body Bag - Part 2 delves into the harrowing aftermath experienced by Vietnam veterans upon their return to a country that had seemingly forgotten them. Once hailed as heroes, these men are now met with indifference, scorn, and neglect. Struggling with the trauma of combat, they find themselves cast aside—discarded by a society eager to move on from the horrors of war.

This chapter shifts its focus to the personal struggles of these veterans as they grapple with PTSD, physical injuries, and the emotional scars of having fought for a country that no longer recognizes their sacrifice. Their bonds forged in the fires of battle are now tested by a different kind of war—one of alienation, addiction, and survival in a world that has turned its back on them.

The film examines the stark contrast between the patriotism that sent them to war and the cruel reality they face upon returning. It’s a powerful commentary on the human cost of conflict, the betrayal felt by those who served, and the long road to redemption that many never find.
Coming Home in a Body Bag Part 2 not only honors their service but highlights the social and moral failures of a nation unprepared to care for its wounded warriors, making it an essential continuation of the story of brotherhood, sacrifice, and the cost of survival.

Intentions:

After the overwhelmingly positive response to Part 1, I felt inspired to continue the series, as referenced in True Romance. With Part 2, I wanted to shift the tone entirely, focusing on the Vietnam veterans returning home to a country that greeted them with hostility and neglect despite their sacrifice. The aim was to shed light on their struggles to reintegrate into a society that had moved on, while showcasing the diverse challenges each soldier faced.

Initially, I hadn’t planned to include a love story, but with so much pain and horror being depicted, I felt it was important to give at least one soldier a glimpse of hope amidst his battles. Additionally, I wanted to emphasize the struggles of women—mothers, wives, and girlfriends—who were also profoundly affected by the war and its aftermath. Their perspective is often overlooked, but their pain is no less significant.

It doesn’t take all that long to level up and I find the conversations happen in fits and spurts but the community is solid and supportive. There are multiple channels to participate in depending on what interests you.

Maybe I just am a noob and don’t know what is going on!

It’s all good, Dude. You just have to verify you’ve read the community rules and click the green button. You’ll then get into the server.

I can’t wait to see the first version you mentioned (even though you say it’s for yourself). I’m not entirely sure why so many people are insistent on the inclusion of the flashbacks.

Yeah, I say it’s for me as I got a little too carried away with requests from the MR community and lost sight of my original goal. After a few sleepless nights, I realised I could create 2 edits and try to make more people happy with various options.

I will only be watching the full conclusion film version that wraps everything up in one 2:30h movie.

Very much looking forward to this release. Thanks for all the hard work. I like there will be two edits to choose from as well. Will the standalone episode without the flashbacks have the final episode included? Have a nice weekend and may the force be with you!

Indeed. It will include all present day episodes and conclude the entire story in one film. The second will finish on the cliffhanger of Osha putting on the helmet and part 2 will include all the flashbacks in chronological order.

Thank you! May the force be with you too!

I hoped someone would do this to see if this show is salvageable, so here is a copy-paste from my review thread, a wish-you-well and some ideas I think would greatly improve your film;

Copy-Paste review:

"Just watched a 20-minute recap of season 1 with scenes to accompany it, and my few cents are the same as my thoughts before the series’ premiere;

the acting (oh my god, the acting), the dialogue and at times the location designs are what is really ruining current Star Wars and this series. Dialogue and acting has to be a dance between the two professions, but here it comes across as your drunk uncle dancing with your cat at your sister’s wedding. It’s just not good, but it is hilarious.

And for the budget this thing had, with most of the location designs they create and use… and costumes… I’m… speechless… It’s literally Disney Channel from 2012 sometimes. Like, I’ve seen clips that make me think “that could’ve been from Hannah Montana”.

I will also say, from the 20 minutes I’ve watched, I did like 60% of the Sith executing the Jedi sequence. They have held some of the fighting on this show to a high standard. But when many of the actors can’t pull of a believable face of dread or sorrow in a scene of pure chaos and horror… then it becomes a comedy, doesn’t it.

Closing Note:
They wanted to make a drama mystery series for all the ages, but instead they created the Tommy Wiseau of Star Wars."

My ideas and thoughts

So yeah… that’s how I feel I, and how it seems like many others interpret this… this… thing.

Now, that’s not to say that this amazing community of editors can’t remove a lot of what makes this show into a meme, and craft it into something worthy of two and more eyes and the attention span and love of a Star Wars fan.

I hope and think that with removing horrible facial expressions, dialogue that does not belong or is delivered badly, and structure the series to an actual mystery - I think you could hit a jackpot in terms of being “the faneditor that made something horrible watchable”. Say what you will about Star Wars - only this has been truly horrible. The Rise of The Sith, The Last Jedi and Boba Fett were issued and badly executed, but they weren’t horrible.

I wish you good luck, and I will be one of the first to watch this in a film format from you - if you have the courage, time and patience to do so. We will not fault you if you choose to give up.

Sorry, I missed to reply to your message as it got lost.

Indeed you are correct! This show was full of bad acting and terrible dialogue but thankfully the sound edit left the centre channel pretty clean so we could get around almost off of it.

100% not going up as it’s been finished for around a week. We’re just tweaking a few VFX shots and I went a little crazy at 5am this morning and I’m now making 2 different versions from this one series. First one if for myself, running in around 2:30h without flashbacks, second will be the two parter many people have asked me to create.

I’m just waiting on the collab work to come in and this will be released asap…

So this is going to be two movies?

Technically, for the most part it’s one film but then people have asked me to edit the flashbacks into another, and this finale kinda helps marry those two episodes together. I think the second part will only be around 1:15h tops so I wouldn’t count it as a movie.

Part 1 is solid and is finished. Loads of conversations going on about part 2 in MR Discord so we’ll see what direction that goes after I release part 1 in a few days.

EDIT: The guy above me beat me to it, lol.

I agree. Either remove the flash back episodes completely or sprinkle in relevant parts of the flashbacks from the prospectives of Mae and OSHA respectively. At least you could put the excessive wake up shots to use !

I deliberately didn’t include the flashbacks in part 1, mostly because they are pointless to this edits storyline and the story is wrapped up in the first film edit. Having this as a 2 parter now gives the audience a choice to watch part 2 or leave it on a cliffhanger, if we even get a season 2. If Velma got a season 2, I’m sure this one will eventually.

Very bizarre that they reveal Osha and Mae are the same person, and yet they chose two very distinctly different child actors for the flashbacks.

I think I’d be most interested in an edit of this show which completely removes both flashback episodes, but still includes episode 8 - which it doesn’t look like you’re doing here. I think letting the audience decide what happened that night completely on their own is much more satisfying than whatever the hell all that was. As it stands, Torbin doesn’t have sufficient motivations to end himself, the leader of the coven is to blame for her own death by not explaining her decision upfront, and Sol doesn’t explain himself to Osha for some reason. It’s just so much easier to remove all of this problematic writing and let the audience come up with their own explanations.

One other cool change I’d like to see someone make is shifting the Plagueis cameo to the very end of the edit, so that he is watching Osha and his apprentice instead of just watching their ship take off earlier. I think it would be pretty easy to digitally paint out the ship leaving in that shot. And then completely remove the Yoda cameo, since no matter what she says to him, Yoda either becomes an idiot or complicit in all this.

EDIT: The guy above me beat me to it, lol.

I had exactly the same thought and goals but people kept asking me to include the flashbacks, which is why I’m now making this a 2 parter.

I was hoping to have Osha and Mae appear more like fight club style but the fact they were in two places at the same time and other people see them in the same place ruined that option for me. I’m not sure there is any way around editing that. My brains been fried getting it to a film length and watchable on rewatch.

I’ll have to rewatch it to see how things pan out for part 2. Right now I’m trying to rush out part 1 so people can enjoy the actual murder mystery part as a whole.

Terminator 3: Salvation by Movies Remastered

Faneditor: MoviesRemastered
Fanedit Type: FanFix
Fanedit Release Date: 17th July 2024
Fanedit Runtime: 1h:41m:23s
Time Cut: 0h:5m:38s
Time Added: 0h:3m:27s
Franchise: Terminator
Genre: Action • Adventure • Drama • Horror • Sci-Fi • Thriller
Original Title: Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003)

Intentions:

I honestly couldn’t stomach the original movie due to it feeling more like a parody than a sequel to one of my favourite movies, T2 and franchises of all time. So, I took this edit on with the goal of creating something that was a mixture of horror/thriller from T1 and the action of T2. I also wanted to make John Connor more of an empathetic but tougher character instead of the weak loser they portrayed him as in the original release. Also, adding some of the original score to help this feel more in sync with the prequels. Not only have I managed to fix all the issues, but I’ve now created one of my favourite Terminator movies.

I agree! I honestly thought there was going to be some huge reveal. Especially a cover up from the Jedi doing wrong but alas. The Jedi did nothing wrong, the castle was set on fire by Mae and somehow rock explodes for no reason.

I started editing these two episodes tonight and it’s not as easy as I thought. Thankfully some of the cut away scenes in 7 can cover the terrible acting in 3…

Editing 3 & 7 together is just for those who have asked. I personally won’t be adding it to my watch list so I don’t feel it necessary. It’s much better leaving it ambiguous with the murder mystery theme from this main film edit.
