Me too! There were so many to use so I just spread then out across 5 channels. I feel they’re a great addition and not fan edity at all if you get the audio levels right.

I spend most of yesterday trying to find the kylo setting for the movie but people seem to get it right at a distance bit those close up shots just look wrong.

I managed to do a hybrid of Luka’s and the movie one and currently working on adding spark particles as an added detail others have requested.

Huge respect for Kewlfish & Luka for attempting these scenes. Patience would be an understatement!

I love that concept - can’t wait to see it in context! But yeah, I do think the shot looks a little blurry. Especially with a planet like Coruscant, where the planet itself has a lot of distinctive, fine-line details and colors, you’d probably want to see that detail a little more clearly. Right now it just kind of looks like any old planet to me. But I don’t have any experience with VFX, so I’m sure whatever you come up with will be great!

Thanks for the feedback. It’s a great help. I managed to get the 4k version and it’s still blurry. I may have to create the whole planet from scratch. 2 months work for a 2 second clip. Gotta love fanediting. 🙄

That’s the problem. The effect that I’ve seen other do so far slightly change in most scenes. Some are wavy, some are fluid, some have the effect in the glow, while others in the core.

There’s a 100 settings that all interchange. So, I’m experimenting with flow before I do a bunch of scenes and have to do them again if people don’t agree on the crackle.

I’m just showing examples of what people have suggested to me. If these scenes are already finished by others just let me know? I’m just helping out as we’re in full national lockdown here and all I can do is edit and try to keep busy.

I’m having “planet killing” star destroyers turn up at as many planets as I can find to explain why the galaxy United in TROS and not TLJ.

So, far Kylo turns up at Coruscant (inspired by Idir_hh) and you’re left questioning if he’s good or bad. Here’s a WIP but the footage from the prequels is very grainy and blurry in comparisons to current day footage.

We’ve been sharing scenes with each other for a while now but they’re a good way off from completion. They’re very ambitious in some of their new shots. I can’t wait to see what they come out with. They’re spending an absolute fortune on this project.

Ohhh! I never noticed that top piece before, I thought it was just chipped. So, in theory! Rey’s Saber could be even worse than Kylo’s due to it being completely split in two?

I’m trying to remember, was Anakin’s crystal broken in half at the end of TLJ, or was it just cracked with a split body?

Corellia could be cool. I looked at adding a Star Destroyer to the dock scene in Solo. I looked through hours of travel videos and drone footage of Thailand to create Kashyyk but couldn’t find anything that would suit. If you know of any footage that would work I’d love to add that planet?

ok, The DSII scene is very quick so I’ll try to find a more suitable/stable close-up clip. Maybe the Exagol exchanged…

I don’t think it should. It wasn’t damaged in the same way so I feel copying it would be just that.

I’m trying to give Rey’s crackling Saber a different effect than Kylo’s. This may not be the best example but the core white is more his style but what are your thoughts on more outer blue crackle than core instability?

I’m still working on it but if anyone would like to work on the contrast of the alpha channel that would help?

Could you imagine what deleted scenes they have? Both Solo & TLJ were transformed/rescued with deleted scenes. TROS would be the same, imo.
