That’s exactly what I’ve done but used Han’s voice instead. I didn’t think there was any need for Leia to die at that point and was a fairly weak exit for her.
I literally can’t wait to finish this one now. It’s been over a year in the making.

I can’t seem to playback any files in realtime so my only option is to render each scene out and upload to Youtube to see the results. I’m trying to add subtle particle flickers to the cracking saber but can’t seem to reduce them enough.
What are your thoughts?

Both myself and 21 Peasant finished the Vaders castle shots. Are their others? What was the Coruscant shot, didn’t Poppa finish those to?
Ok cool. I took about 9 hours on this shot. Adding more effected really looked fan edity in places, where as others looked great. I think it’s a job of just finding the sweet spot. I’ll work on the particles next and see if it balances out a bit.
Yeah, I was helping him before so I asked if he could send me the templates to finish in his absence. He kindly obliged.
Rey’s training Crackling Saber Scene. I haven’t added the particle layers yet but let me know if you spot any imperfections. For some reason my computer glitches on playback so if anyone can think of how to fix this please let me know? I’ve cleared RAM, HD space, and Cache but still glitches.
I posted it a while ago but people suggested adding the smoke.
Yeah, ive played with several motion tracks for that but I can’t seem to find one that suits. I’ll keep trying.

That’s what I was going for in V3. By “smoke element” do you mean the lasting smoke effect or the initial puff of smoke from the Saber?
Here is an end Saber spark test. 3 different versions, first clip regular speed and second at half speed to see the difference. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks to @skenera for helping with colour correction.
The idea is to give Rey a reason for burying the Sabers after the battle with Palpatine.

Me too! There were so many to use so I just spread then out across 5 channels. I feel they’re a great addition and not fan edity at all if you get the audio levels right.
I spend most of yesterday trying to find the kylo setting for the movie but people seem to get it right at a distance bit those close up shots just look wrong.
I managed to do a hybrid of Luka’s and the movie one and currently working on adding spark particles as an added detail others have requested.
Huge respect for Kewlfish & Luka for attempting these scenes. Patience would be an understatement!

Does it look blurry to you in that clip? It’s from 1080p blu-ray but just looks off to me.
I love that concept - can’t wait to see it in context! But yeah, I do think the shot looks a little blurry. Especially with a planet like Coruscant, where the planet itself has a lot of distinctive, fine-line details and colors, you’d probably want to see that detail a little more clearly. Right now it just kind of looks like any old planet to me. But I don’t have any experience with VFX, so I’m sure whatever you come up with will be great!

That’s the problem. The effect that I’ve seen other do so far slightly change in most scenes. Some are wavy, some are fluid, some have the effect in the glow, while others in the core.
There’s a 100 settings that all interchange. So, I’m experimenting with flow before I do a bunch of scenes and have to do them again if people don’t agree on the crackle.
I’m just showing examples of what people have suggested to me. If these scenes are already finished by others just let me know? I’m just helping out as we’re in full national lockdown here and all I can do is edit and try to keep busy.
