If you want this thread to deliver, you're going to have to make it easier for Jay than just a list of suggestions.
I'm looking for username + proposed JPG, PNG or GIF 100x100px image (<5KB).
For example:
Something, something, something, Dark Side ->
I recently had Jay reset avatars for those members who had '404' images (this fixed the 'horizontal white line problem').
If you could post your suggested images for those who you think should have avatars, I might be able to talk Jay into making the relevant profile adjustments. I can't dick around with amend user profiles myself, unfortunately.
Added Backstroke of the West and TPM - Theatrical Version to the list.
20 minutes worth of the original 70mm 6-track audio!
Animated GIFs are still allowed in sigs (see this post). However, we decided to limit the file size to 100KB or less.
Jedi Temple34 - yours is nearly 500KB. Please could you remove it or replace it with something smaller?
This is a really old thread - Citizen hasn't logged on here for over three years now. More info on his release here, but I doubt you will find anyone who still has this.
Thanks for your detailed reply; very useful. The auction closed with no bids, I might try contacting the seller to do a deal.
BTW, where do you get all this info from?
Some more suggestions:
How about a "Han Shot First" icon?

TADA!!!
Seriously, what a petty little fuckwit.
Er... no, Zigfried (75.128.124.130) was the fuckwit.
AWK just created the article and wrote the first paragraph, can't see any harm in that.
I've moved this thread from "fan edits" to the "other projects" section of the forum. On the wiki and the project index it's been classed as a Fan Documentary.

Alek - I don't want to take your thread too much off topic, but any info you could provide in response to this thread would be appreciated. Ta!
Recently spotted this player on eBay UK - it appears that a PAL version of this player was also manufactured.
What I've found out so far: it's a well-built industrial model dating from around 1984, it has a BNC composite video output (the PAL version also has a SCART output), and it has analogue audio playback only.
Questions:
1. Is the composite out a "pure" output (i.e. not pushed through any outdated comb filters)?
2. How would the PQ compare with my D925 - bearing in mind that the optical reading/decoding hardware in the V4000 is several generations older?
3. Does the PAL model also play NTSC discs?
It's not gone yet: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/OriginalTrilogy.com
The last person to ask a similar question did not get any replies, unfortunately.
I helped out fellow UK member SeeNoEvil with a transfer last year, but these days I don't have the time to be doing analogue captures.
My advice would be to forget about getting a transfer from an X0, and set yourself a more realistic goal. Look on eBay, get yourself a cheapish player (you might want to consider the V8000, currently at $40 finishing in 6 hours). You can also get PCI capture cards very cheaply.
Failing that, you could always pay for a conversion service such as the one mentioned in this thread.

This is one of the greatest and most amusing things I have ever read! I am now more proud than ever to be a member of originaltrilogy.com!
"The site is also notorious for its handful of extremely vulgar and disrespectful members, who enjoy tormenting sensitive people and people who disagree with them and running them off the site, and its corrupt moderator, Moth3r, who abuses his power and encourages all the offensive behavior on the site. Such victims of these actions are Warbler, Adamwankenobi, ZigFried, and many others.
Several complaints about Originaltrilogy.com were sent to the Internet Police Corporation known as ICANN, and they are currently looking into either cleaning up the site's dirty act, or simply shutting it down."
I am very curious as to who wrote this. Seems like it was written by the very sort who would put me on their ignore list. Or maybe is was one of those damn orcs from a few years back...
So, just out of curiousity, can someone please explain to me how these ICANN jokers would have the ability to clean up our "dirty act" (makes it sound like we are in the porn business) or shut us down? Sounds like a bunch of BS to me.
That was probably AWK who wrote that. I remember him saying back when he was here that he would vandalize Wookiee... Wookie... um, that place.
If you look at the history, you would see that AWK actually created the article. The little piece above was added by Zigfried at a later date.
It now looks like someone has noticed the article (probably due to the recent activity as a result of this thread) and decided it should be removed from their wiki.
Please do not add nonsense to Wookieepedia. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the Jundland Wastes sandbox. Thank you.
HotRod got done! :p

Sooooo, is this going on fanedit.org?
Unlikely as it is not a fan edit.
Not to be rude, but if it isn't available for d@wnl@ad in some form, why post the information regarding an edit no one can see?
I spell Wookiepedia wrong deliberately just to piss people off.
Anyway, THIS.
How can you not know where it is from?
You need to give more clarification here, as at the moment it sounds as if you are using a download as your source. We do not support piracy on this forum - you will need to obtain the legitimate DVD if you want to continue discussing this project.
Read FAQ, nos. 3 and 8b.

The Laserdisc FAQ mentions 44056Hz PCM. It's probably where I read it first.
The Laserdisc FAQ appears to be wrong, according to posters in alt.video.laserdisc.
The point is that if the audio is supposed to be played back at 47952Hz and instead it's played at 48000Hz, it will be slightly too fast. But I am 99% certain that LD PCM is 44.1kHz and LD AC3 is 48kHz, so unless someone can find a reliable source to prove me wrong, this is not the issue here.

but 1 thing I looked at for the hell of it was I compared the stereo wav file I made from the ac3 file(for sync'ing) to the wav file my capture created to see how the waves from the audio line up in Audition, and they both look pretty identical, the highs and lows in the waveform almost match up perfectly, again not sure if this helps I am just graspping now to figure this out, although I did not zoom in,maybe should do that.
Yes you should do that, you might notice something. Zoom in far enough so that you can see the waveforms of individual sounds or spoken words.
