Isn't this just a repeat of this thread?

As usual, you've managed to dig up some great anecdotes for the commentary. Fascinating stuff, those 17 minutes had me thoroughly absorbed.
A couple of tips for the final version:
1. Take care with the volume levels, the original film music sounded too loud in some places when compared to some of the lower-quality audio sources used.
2. Run the text through a spell-checker!

Moth3r, isn't post 10 above a hint at...piracy? I'm telling the mods ;)
Oops.
Anyway:
Liam Neeson tries comedy

You know, the dust has settled after the BR release, but seeing that image made me shudder. How awful! Not only that, most people have been raving how great the movies look on BR but it's obvious that these transfers are extremely faulty.
Come here... put your hand on the desk.
*picks up hammer*
Now then, which two fingers will it be?
Just watched it.
Thought it was pretty funny, especially liked Liam Neeson's attempt at improvisational comedy.
I missed it, but intending to grab Lifes.Too.Short.S01E01.720p.HDTV.x264-RiVER. watch it on iPlayer or TV On Demand or something.
Davis - fixed.

A new series starting this Thursday on BBC2, might be worth a look.
Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant's follow-up to Extras, a spoof documentary following the showbiz life of actor Warwick Davis. With his career on the slide, a massive tax bill and a wife who is divorcing him, the star of Willow has no choice but to open his doors to a film crew 24 hours a day in the hope the exposure will get him back to the top of the showbiz ladder. He begins by seeking advice from old pals Gervais and Merchant - only to discover Liam Neeson has beaten him to it.
Yes, here:

Why can't we just plug a 360 into a capture card?
I know I keep saying that, but nobody's explained yet.
It should be possible (so long as the "analogue hole" hasn't been plugged), but obviously there are losses involved in re-digitising. A direct stream capture or a pure digital (screen capture) solution would be preferable.
From memory, I'm certain that the ITV broadcast had the ANH crawl, and I'm fairly confident it was squeezed.
Video was corrupted for me as well - using MPC-HC for playback.
I can't see any use in letting this continue. Thread locked.

And in case anyone cares, his hatred of fan-edits (his recreating starfields in Maya notwithstanding, I think that counts) was already burning six years ago - must see if I can dig out that email...
Try here.
Mike has always had strong views about fan edits (and fan films, too). It's ironic that you took some inspiration from his original Legacy project, and your edit went on to inspire Ady.
Like most people here, I would rather watch a properly-restored version of the original (without fixed lightsabres, added motion blur and smoothed jump-cuts) than a fan edit. But I don't resent the fact that projects such as Revisited exist.
Mike may write harsh words on the subject, but expressing his honest opinion doesn't justify calling him a dick. I'm not surprised he's gone again (last time he "left" was after someone likened him to a crack dealer).
As stated in the digitalFAQ link, the brand means almost nothing. For example, I've had Memorex-branded discs made by Ricoh which have been fine, but one box of Memorex discs I had which were made by CMC have now all gone bad.

Probably should be stickied as suggested in that thread.
Would be interested in the PCM audio, but I haven't got the BD yet. I heard the image quality was not much better than the DVD.
[OT: DJ, would you consider doing The Full Monty original audio project? The BD had the American soundtrack. I have the UK LD with the original Dolby Surround as PCM.]

There are a few places where the 70mm definitely added sounds that weren't in the stereo mix...
Really? Up until now I thought the Dolby Stereo mix was identical (in content) to the Dolby 6-track (although some of the mixing choices are obviously different, to take advantagae of the better dynamic range offered by the 70mm format).
Can you give an example of where sounds were definitely added?
Quick google search - the power supply is 12V and supplies a max of 1.2A.
So that'd be 14.4W then.
The GOUT DVDs are the classic versions. Buy them now while you still can.
I noticed the other day that most of the Wikipedia entire article has been "blanked" because it was not reliably sourced. I don't know if anyone here would be interested in adding back the changes with citations from reliable sources?
Behave kids, or warnings/bans will start to be handed out.
Thoughts:
1. This thread might be better in the preservation/other forum. I'll move it.
2. Yes we definitely need an up-to-date list and summary of the various projects created by members of this forum.
3. The current lists at the top of each forum (eg here) quickly become outdated.
4. A wiki-style approach seemed like a good idea, it worked briefly on that dvdholocron site, but takeup of the ot.com/fanedits.com project wiki (here) was disappointing.
