The subtitle font appears to be Franklin Gothic Demi Condensed, Bold, 56 pt, color #E0E7D3 (RGB triplet; SSA uses BGR).
From my empirical observations, as seen in this clip which is derived from the DVD, the match is close, if not identical.
This might be of use to some restorationists.

This is a hack. I don’t think it’s very good but it’s my first try. I think the timing may be wrong.
Nonetheless, I’m sure I have the logo right (note the tilted zero). It comes from here and purports to have been ripped from the “Alien” PAL DVD.
The resolution of the video matches the resolution at which I am planning to encode the final reconstruction (and the resolution at which I encoded the Dr. Gonzo-derived AVIs I have of teh OOT).

Beginning of Day 1: I’ve ripped the disc, and I have a second reference also in vob format to use for comparison.
I’m going to make a reconstruction of Jedi. The target is an AVI which I can watch on my computer, since it’s too slow to handle mpeg2 encoding.
I’m going to revert many of the changes back to teh 1993 form of the movie. XD I’m working on it as we speak!
Currently: Breaking the vobs into more manageable pieces.
