Wanting the history of cinema preserved does not mean you necessarily like every movie that needs saving.
Quoted for truth. There’s a lot of movies I could care less about, but if they need to be preserved, they need to be preserved.
It’s because DVD and BD releases of Disney movies are often butcheries, so the VHS and LD copies have become desirable.
Thanks to a friend, I’ve had several Disney movies on LD for years.
If it’s duophonic, it’s duophonic. If it’s stereo, it’s stereo. From what I’m reading this isn’t in any way either “remixed” or “stereo”, it’s “rechannelled mono”. In other words, duophonic.

Avisynth can be a real punk sometimes. I’ve run into off-by-one errors occasionally when my editor (avspmod) and my encoder seem to get different ideas out of the same script.
Ah, I specifically meant the ITV logo.
It’s better than you’d think, and works because the logo is translucent.
I’ve even used it on ITV4 footage in the past (Batman 66), but not with the current logo.
For the record, because it doesn’t actually matter to this purpose, a logo like the ITV logo is easy to remove. I have some of the tools to do so (the user end tools; I can’t make logo masks) and regularly remove more complicated logos (such as those of Nittele and Animax) from my TV encodes.

I run double 1080 on my main rig but both my TVs are CRTs from the late 90s or so.
The 3PO tractor beam line is the most obvious difference between the 1977 stereo mix and the 1985 stereo mix.
I won’t be able to tell (because I don’t have binary usenet access) unless it goes up on MS, so that’s all I can say.
Well, there was a 4.2 surround mix, but the closest we have to that is hairy_hen’s reconstruction based on the 1993 mix, 2.0 mix and 4 in-cinema recordings, right?
I think we all have different ideas how best to go about such a project.
For example, Harmy’s taking one approach, poita and Williarob take another, and mverta takes a third; I build from the previous approaches, and take them along a different path.
The goal is the same, but the paths and end results differ.
I could probably get a 1280x544 encode down to around 2 GB and have it still look decent, but it wouldn’t be fair to call it the same thing, since it would require filtering that changes the character of the source.

Which is even more period inaccurate than an Apple ][ with a mid-80s monitor on top. It’s an XT with a mid-90s monitor on top and partially modernized guts. (1.44 MB floppy drive and a 386DX) Like stuffing a Mac SE30 inside Frink’s ][. 😉

Eh, it’s just the ROM that marks the difference between a ][ and a ][+. Besides, the Monitor ][ on top is about as period-accurate on top of an Apple ][ as an AcerView 33D Super VGA monitor is on top of an IBM XT… 😉
I think TV’s Frink is turning into an Apple ][+ (which didn’t have support for lowercase).

The isos I have are labelled “volume 6”, “volume 7” and “volume 8”, with “6” containing the Trunks special plus “Super Android 13”, “7” has “Broly” and “Bojack Unbound”, “8” has “Broly: Second Coming” and “Bio-Broly” (with the credits removed, for some reason). So movies 7-11?
I think some of the movies might have been released LB on laserdisc, I know that’s what they did with Sailor Moon.
I think we determined that the best video source for movies…was it 7-11?..was R2FR, they did a 4:3 remastering.
