Yeah but it’s less like the reaction to mass murder and more like a case of indigestion.

His entire class of pupils are murdered and he doesn’t really seem that shocked. He just heads over to Palpy for a few extra force power moves before quitting. He might has well have said “failed to do enough flips to beat him I have”.
This was a dumb episode. The boulder fall, the way Din kept walking into the energy wall instead of doing something logical like say Grogu’s name. Such a weird place to put a cliffhanger too. More fan service stuff doesn’t help. Even if I like the idea of the Dark Trooper project being used. Why is Boba Fett like a master fighter, is that just a reference to Morrison’s other movies?
I can buy into the rationale, but I still loathe the execution. An old man walking with a cane one moment, then flipping through the air like some Looney Tunes character another is cruddy filmmaking in my book.
Agreed.
The first act isn’t the problem with the film.
Out of curiosity, what do you mean by “rediscovering families”? Do you mean Finn and Rose finding the families of stormtroopers? Rose and Finn finding members of their own families?
Yeah one of those choices at least. I would have thought the second one personally.
Add the Assault Gun Boat and maybe I will consider it.
Sure and he also nearly died in the siege from S1. But the scene where he just takes a bomb and dives head first into all the blaster fire was really dumb, and it drains the suspense from any quick draw duel scenes.
The first two episodes were nice and cozy for some reason. It was just nice to get back to these guys. The volcano lair was fun but left me wondering why those characters aren’t used more. The last two… are fine. But like everyone already said it’s getting bogged down in spin-off teasers that lead nowhere right now. I don’t care about these Clone Wars characters and devoting so much time to them doing flips etc. feels like a mistake. I also feel like the reveal of Beskar being blaster and sabre proof is a bad idea. Why ever take cover from the troopers? If they follow the S1 formula though the next one will be a filler episode, and the last two will be the good stuff.
I’m actually stunned that the story didn’t include a First Order civil war (Kylo vs Hux) and a plot about Finn and Rose finding or rediscovering families who aide the rebels. These are such basic threads they should have picked up on.
If Jabba lives in a basement what is the Rancor living in?
The original is godawful and this is a legitimate way of reducing it’s visibility in the current world of search engines. It’s not really negative, it’s just a thing that will happen. Just think of when you look up a movie and some remake version now appears on screen. If George hated it so much he could have had done this himself.
Oh I’ve read that translated version before on Nick Stember. It’s fun to see which parts were only vaguely described to the artist (Uncle Owen is actually on a farm in what looks like Texas and Jedi Knights are actual Medieval Knights) while other elements are taken from photos that were available.
Oof. On the one hand this seems fun, but on the other it’s a way of burying the original in the information age. Put it on Disney+ cowards.
Bob Anderson worked on stunts and stunt doubling for all the OT films to some degree. He’s Vader for the fights in ESB and Jedi.

If they did it wouldn’t be the ROTJ model, maybe it would have to be the TIE version that Captain Needa used.

It seems you have an great force within you. You’re exactly what we need! Those Jedi’s keep destroying our death star and therefor maintanence costs are quite high… Will you be the one that makes a new death star possible?

I haven’t really had time to see much of The Clone Wars… but for two season the best episodes are ones with less of her. I get that this is one of those long haul things, but at the same time it also feels like a problem when other new cast members are immediately more engaging.
Yeah that’s what I’m trying to describe from vague memory.
ALOL what is Adam Driver doing in an Elf wig ?
I don’t think that many people actually like it. Beyond superficial action and fan service it makes everyone look dumb just so Palpatine can achieve his goals.
Black or white boards are usually for creating shadows or bounce lighting I think.
The reason we had the OT in 1995 (in a copy bought instead of recorded from TV) was because of that veiled threat. Someone in the family heard about it. To be fair they didn’t really understand what it meant, but they still bought those tapes with the red metallic logos on.
The sequels at least have some charisma and energy.
Oh okay there’s a question edited in there now so I’ll stop being facetious. Here’s the thing… create two things on either side of a metaphorical fence and people will argue about it. SE vs OT. PT vs OT. Anything. Some will argue that anything Star Wars after 1995 is a dumpster fire the same way some people will argue that anything Star Trek after 2005 is a dumpster fire. Some people have no critical thinking powers whatsoever of course, but generally there’s a debate going on with something, somewhere.
