Agh I spent ages looking for the last blog I saw that pic on, and it just says “Richard Marquand and a Darth Vader stand-in”. It’s weird that this is just the new lightsaber scene and not a stunt, maybe he never got credited if it was just a reshoot for that one moment. Interestingly his cloak is over the chest armour like the original costume.

Stunt Vader? The pic is probably in The Making of ROTJ but that is a book I don’t have to hand.

Some of them are just a mystery though. Wasn’t Jabba’s entrance wide enough? Is the cost so expensive that all these weird things are spread over 3-4 different releases?

Yeah that’s the panel I mentioned a while ago, the last actual news about this which isn’t just an anonymous rumour. I mean it’s still unlikely and he could have got the wrong impression. And it’s been 2 years so…

Sure but the missing beach narrative and the larger Forrest Whitaker plot were in most of the trailers. The latter being something that might actually still fit what they ended up with.

It’s kinda pathetic that extra features got worse in the BD era for some things. So many barebones releases or obvious money grabs that will be replaced by more extensive versions. I don’t care about 3D. Just make it worth the purchase.

His version is the theatrical.

I want to see the trailer version.

The crashed X Wing looks a tad out of scale.
