I know that one's not on the DVD release. It's a pretty brief scene.

Hey Guys!!

Yes! Exactly Fanfiltration/ Ridge Shark hit it right on the nail. The scene described above is not on the DVD deleted scenes section, and there are several alternate angles and a fewmore shots of the Shark. It is fully edited also.

Exactly! This is why I am putting this out there, it is the way growing up some of us remember it!

These TV cuts happended in the days before we could purchase videos for cheap and way before DVD, for some of us it was the only way to see a movie like this.

One of the next DVD TV cut I will put out there may be the JAWS TV CUT, there is two of them, the original and the re-airings, the original was edited diferent.

The THING is gonna be next, since you asked ;-) , and yes!!!! not all the scenes are on the deleted scenes section of the Universal DVD, it is edited different. There is a voice-over which explins the characters as well as an altrnate ending.

Phineasbg/ HIGHLANDER II: Extended Versions (Released)
Time
ON A SIDE NOTE:

Good and bad news -

First the good news - Highlander II: The Extended Zeist Version - will be released on the week of the 15th of May 2007.

Now the bad - We have decided to release a single layer version with static menus. The reason is someone in this thread may have located a 2:35.1 version of the 100min edit / AKA: Fairytale Version or Early European Version.
Now the cut is possibly in 2:35.1 and runs 95 mins but in Italian Audio, now if this DVD ( I ordered it myslef direct from italy) turns out to be a 16:9/ 2:35.1 widesreen version we would have to re-edit the 1:85.1 out and add the 2:35.1. We hope this is the case because previously it wasn't available 2:35.1 to our knowledge. The audio we have already fixed in english from other source material.

So why we all wait patiently we have decided to release the version we have without the extras. We were going to push it back until we find out about this disc but we know a lot of you have been patient and we wanted to mke you happy as well.

So, it will be released SL w/ static menu/ no extras

And if we get the Italian DVD and it says what it says is true, then we will re-edit it and release the whole DL with extras (sometime down the road). PhineasBG and I put a lot of work in this DVD and wanted the DL to be special. But again, if we do locate the 2:35.1 footage it may take awhile to revisit it since we have already started several other projects. So instead of waiting until whenever we are just going or the SL, thanks to everyone that has stood by this thread.

And thank you PhineasBg for your great effort and work my friend :-)

Peace

Present

a FAN PRESERVATION

of

J A W S 2 - The Original Television Edition

TAGLINE

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water...

ABOUT THIS FILM

"Jaws 2 - takes place four years after the horrid events in Amity, seen in the first film. Of course, like all movies, Jaws 2 went through the editing process and a lost a few scenes in the interest of time. In the 1980's it was common practice to add scenes left on the cutting room floor and often reinstated into television airings of the film to pad the running time and sell more ad space.

ABOUT THIS CUT

Edited from the theatrical cut of the film these scenes were re-added to this Network Television Version: This version adds a few scene that are not available on the now OOP Universal DVD deleted scenes section.

A few notable additions, some are included on the now OOP DVD.
ONE THING TO NOTE: These scenes have been edited from the television studio a common praxtice in the 80's.

-Ellen, adding wine to the fruit punch, and tells the waitress to smile and look cute.
-Brody, given Peterson a parking ticket because, he was parking at a "No Parking" zone. Peterson tries to talk Brody out of giving him the ticket, and a half-exasperated half-joking Brody tells Peterson to just "pay the two dollars."
-The Council argues about the incident at the beach.
-The Council goes into Mayor Vaughn's office to take a vote to fire Brody; Mayor Vaughn alone votes against Brody's firing.
-The shark attacks the helicopter pilot, after capsizing it underwater

WHY THIS RELEASE

I have been an avid collector of television airings and alternate version of feature films for years. This version you are about to see was one of the first television alternates that I ever captured.

DVD INFO

Original Title: Jaws 2
Running Time: 120 Mins
Static Menu - No Chapters

IMPROVEMENTS

This version has been cleaned and filtered, I have color corrected some scenes and stabalized others. I ripped this years ago so quality is standard VHS quality. We hope you enjoy

ONE OF THE BETTER SEQUELS OF ALL-TIME - SIT BACK AND PRETEND IT'S THE 1980'S AIRING ALL OVER AGAIN

I dug this out of my VHS vault.

Phineasbg/ HIGHLANDER II: Extended Versions (Released)

When we release the Extended Cut/ The so called International Cut scenes are 1:85.1 - This is from an OOP German LD that was horibly created. The German LD had only german dialog and it was dubbed horribly. Keep in mind we had to take my TV cut and clean the music up and then use that for the audio with the 1:85.1 footage. I do have a cut of Highlander II - International Cut in widescreen 2:35.1 but it jumps and the picture is horrible, almost unwatchable, and the color is gone.

So in order to have the best possible quality cut we used the OOP german video coupled with several other versions of the American Cut, etc.

We created a disclaimer at the start of the film teeling the audience that we have used the best possible sources.

Not a problem! I should not have been so vague, my bad!

Answers-

I am involved very little, if any in this project, it was started well before PhineasBg and I hooked up.

I have been shown some new effects, and I can tell you I am in awe!!!

It's an on going project I am told.

I may have some say in the editing, I don;t know at this point, we are still discussing it.

Thats about all I know!!

RELEASE INFO:

Proudly present

HIGHLANDER II: The Quickening - Special Zeist Edition

This is the second release by Phineasbg and Oldbiff85 Fan Videos

What is it about?
Description: Sequel to 1986's Highlander, in which Christopher Lambert reprises his role as Connor MacLeod, a member of the alien race known as "Immortals," banished to Earth from his home planet Zeist some 500 years ago. In the year 1999, Lambert owns a corporation that has created a shield to protect the Earth following the depletion of the ozone layer. But the shield is seized by an evil cartel, and Virginia Madsen plays a scientist who assists MacLeod in his mission to destroy the cartel. Sean Connery also reprises his role from Highlander as the Scottish Immortal named Ramirez.

About this version - This version includes the all new Special Edition FX including the new blue shield effects. The film is combination of the American version, Renegade Version and the Special Edtion - Included in this cut is the Special Edition/ Renegade sequence of events and restores the planet Zeist, the Prize, the Quickening, and other major references which had been cut out.

Notable addition:

The gun fight between McCloud and the guards at the shield corporation near the end of the film has been restored and color corrected. Why this particular sequence was taken out is bizarre. Now the flow of the movie is restored and not effected: Now we no longer just go from being on a mountain top looking down onto the shield straight into the shield core chamber where Macleod fights Katana. Anyone who may have not seen previous versions of this movie may have wondered ( by viewing the 2004 Special Edition) just how the hell they got back into the core chamber so easily in the first place.
