Fanfiltration, I recently got this European TV broadcast of the Extended . It looks like it's in 1:85.1? It's not cropped and I have compared it to the full screen. Are you interested? just for the scenes we spoke of above.

The widescreen 'Special Longer Version" was something I can't believe you accomplished.

There are some key scenes that are not avaible in widescreen, How did you handle them Fanfiltration - did you get other prints?

Yes! I have been bugging the hell out of my partner since we started other projects. We have been working on DUNE at the moment.

Yea! Restored audio! I had two tapes of my master of the KCOP and well the second one deteriorated (SP) so bad over time that it has a horrible hissing noise.

I will for sure be using the stuff you offered.

We will be using the special edition full screen master.

Superman: RIC - Is it gonna happen? Yes!

If anyone has BALLS copies of the TV Superman: The Movie please sned them to me
lmk!! We will be needing the very best prints if we are going to compete on the level of the Superman II: RIC and that's is the plan.
Any Help would be great!

Also, I enjoyed the Extras Scenes/ Extended Scene breakdown Documetary you created Leone, it really helps a ton for the people who don't really know the differeneces.

I finally got S.O.S Titanic the Extended TV cut.

I remember watching it on TV when I was a kid and finally here it is. lol!! I only had to wait over 25 years......

The Extended Cut was only shown once and then never again - sort of like the Extneded cut of King Kong (76 Version) - 1977 TV Cut, Once and poof!!

I'll keep on seeding it but pause for a bit later on so I can make a DVD of it. I'm still seeding the other Highlander II versions made available earlier as well. They deserve that since they are probably as close to the original intent had they've had the opportunity to finish and edit it as they had planned.
Now I have nearly all official cuts of all the Highlander movies.

WHAT'S IT ABOUT?
Description: Sequel to 1986's Highlander, in which Christopher Lambert reprises his role as Connor MacLeod, a member of the alien race known as "Immortals," banished to Earth from his home planet Zeist some 500 years ago. In the year 1999, Lambert owns a corporation that has created a shield to protect the Earth following the depletion of the ozone layer. But the shield is seized by an evil cartel, and Virginia Madsen plays a scientist who assists MacLeod in his mission to destroy the cartel. Sean Connery also reprises his role from Highlander as the Scottish Immortal named Ramirez

FACTS ABOUT THIS VERSION:
A different version of HIGHLANDER II : THE QUICKENING appeared in Europe in or around 1990, the editing for this version was funded by Nigel Green of Entertainment Productions along with Panzer and Davis. This version had the input of the director and producers and is much truer to the original script. The film contains over ten minutes of additional footage which helps the story immensely (including what happened to Brenda, Conner's girlfriend from the first film) and the narrative is edited together much better than the American version. The (British) European version of HIGHLANDER II has only been seen in America on poor quality bootlegs and usually not in english so most fans are not aware of its existence.
By far the most interesting aspect of the (BV) European Version is the fact that it contains the original ending of HIGHLANDER II as it was found in the script. Bill Panzer said that he and Peter Davis had paid out of their own pockets at the time to shoot this ending. They did this because they believed so strongly in the ending but its reception by audiences was apparently less than overwhelming. The scene takes place on the beach after Conner has destroyed the Shield and the Shield Generator burns in the distance.

ABOUT THIS RELEASE:
This version is a restoration of the original European version of the film which was only scene briefly to European audiences.
Also included on the disc is a restored French trailer which was previously available on an OOP French DVD. The French trailer no longer has subtitles.

It has been awhile since an update so here it is.

Phineasbg and I are finally going release Highlander II: The Quickening - The Restored Early European Version ( Original 100 minute International Version)

Some notes on this edit:

It was the first version we actually worked on together. We had to create this edit in order the finish the "Special Zeist Editon" and the "Extended Zeist Version".

This is a restoration of a film that only existed in a poor bootleg version that was passed at various sci-fi convention though the 1990's.

With help from various people from these boards we were able to track down some interesting versions and compile them to create this edit.

For the first time the film is in complete 2:35.1 and has a complete english audio soundtrack.

This is also known as the "International Cut" which was played in theatres throughtout Europe before the U.S. Re-Cut.

In the ealry 1990's this version of the film was put together by the director and the producers with funding from Nigel Entertainment.

Finally we all can see Highlander II as the Director and Producers intended it to be shown.

Our Release date is September 7th 2007

I bought one at the comic con ysterday it stated widescreen, it wasn't. It was horrible digitally cropped by someone. On a goo note the picture was awesome better than i have ever seen.

This was the best version I have ever saw and I have been doing this for years.....

We are happy that you receieved them KURGAN, and very glad you liked them.

It was a ton of work and we are proud of the results.

It took over a year a half to complete the project.

What did you think about the extras on the disc (extended fairytale ending, etc.?)
