All of the prequels could have been better- and they didn't miss the mark by just a few inches, they missed it by miles.
The main point is, I don't think skyjedi or anybody would give a crap about how much the prequels suck, if the OOT was given a proper restoration and release.

The Lapti Nek on the boxed set CD is the same that was on the original soundtrack LP from 1983- meaning that it is not the same as the movie version. I don't think the movie version was ever released officially.
I believe there are 2 different versions of the Ewok Celebration song included, though- the '83 LP version and the film version.
I enjoyed the interview. I got the impression from past interviews that Prowse didn't like Mark Hamill very much, so the story about Mark signing all the autographs for the charity was nice. :-)

The prequels started to suck pretty early for me- just a couple of minutes into TPM pod- race. I couldn't believe how boring it was.
I'm glad the John Denver special will be shown, too (I voted for that one several times-LOL). That one isn't available on video either (although the soundtrack is available).

$20 is a decent price, I think, especially considering that it's OOP, but check eBay to see what they're selling for there.
The thing I love about that set is that it came with a nice book and has the original music from Jedi (lapti nek, ewok celebration) plus a few other bits and pieces that weren't included on the 1997 2-disc SE sets (although, the 2-disc sets also have a lot of unreleased stuff that wasn't in the anthology, too). If you have all the 2-disc sets and the Anthology, you've pretty much got a complete set of everything that was ever released officially.

I have the McQuarrie portfolios too- I just love them.
And Williams' music- what more can be said? It's at least 50% of what made the films so wonderful.

I love those posters. They're the main good thing about the SE (I suppose I could count the Biggs scene resoration too).
I like the SW SE poster especially, I have one framed. I agree that they're probably the best thing about the SEs.

Yeah, they sent me one from the 'ewoks' cartoon, I think. It wasn't a very good image- a hang-glider or something.
Yup, there was a Technicolor dye-transfer print that was on the market a while back, that had an Eastmancolor crawl obviously spliced in (obvious because the Eastmancolor portion was badly faded, and of course the dye-transfer portion was not).
That lost Metropolis footage being found was the best movie-related news this decade. I can't wait for the '09 release (I still love the Moroder version, though).

I saw this new boxed set in the Concord Music catalog that I got in the mail the other day. I was hoping it contained the complete score for Raiders, at least. All I have now are the single LPs for the first 2 films.
