I still cherish my OT "ART OF" books (pre-SE).

I found the one for Star Wars kind of disappointing, myself, actually. That famous painting of Vader fighting Deak wasn't even in it =(

That was in the McQuarrie portfolio, though. I personally didn't expect to see every McQuarrie concept piece in the books; I think they were meant to be overviews of all the type of art involved with the films, incl. costumes, matte paintings, etc.

The original trilogy storyboards book looks to be interesting.  Now i sort of see why there were about none of them in the making of empire or jedi they wanted to sell more books.

Thanks for the heads-up about the OT storyboards book- I had no idea that was being released.

I didn't even know the PT version existed. :-P I wonder why that one was released first?

I still cherish my OT "ART OF" books (pre-SE). I think they were very well done. The ESB notebook was interesting as well.

I have retracted my post, because although I don't agree personally with the "strategy" behind this release, at the same time I do  not wish to risk this community and it's correct "anti-piracy" stance on such things.

I sign off with a link to the official Star Wars Blog:

http://starwarsblog.starwars.com/index.php/2013/10/21/exclusive-ebooks-videoaudio%E2%80%94complete-contents-revealed/

So there was only 5% that didn't make this release...

Perhaps next time eh?

That page has been removed, for some reason. Did anybody copy the list of contents before they took it down?

Well, I've seen all of the video content now and most of it is great, some is slightly boring. I think the interview clip of Mark Hamill on the DS set is the only pre-car-accident interview footage I've ever seen of him, so that's pretty unique.

A few of the clips are longer versions of clips that were in the hidden blooper reel on the '04 DVD set, so if anybody is saying all of this stuff was "just found", that's BS.

^Yeah, it was shown at a comic-con or a starwars convention of some kind. And I think you're right about it being in color, but there were color photos of that scene in the ROTJ storybook, so maybe my brain is coloring the footage with my childhood memories...

The convention footage seems to have been taken down, too (at least I can't find it...)

I remember the Topps card showing Luke hanging from the grate, and wondered why it wasn't in the movie!?

Glad I watched it the other day as it has now been taken down due to copyright blah, blah. :(

Jedit: Now on youtube :)

The Kindle is a pretty neat device, but yeah, I agree completely with your post.

Nothing against the Kindle (or any other similar device), I just don't have a need for one now, and I don't want to feel like I have to buy one, especially since people are having trouble getting them to play the video content anyway.

Those who know me around here know that I'm not one to rant; I'm a very patient person in life and my temper has a long fuse....but there is a limit to my patience and sometimes I feel that SW fans have been treated disrespectfully (abusively, even?!) compared to loyal fans of other franchises.

Okay guys, feast your eyes on these...

Thanks, for the clips. :-)

I think they should have left the shot of Luke dangling from the grate of the Rancor pit in the film. Wasn't that shown recently at ComicCon, or someplace (someone shot it off a screen with a camera phone). I thought it was in color, but I'm probably remembering it wrong.

I don't have (or want) a stupid Kindle and it's seriously PISSING ME OFF that I spent nearly $200 for the three hardcover books and now Random House is going around taking the videos off YouTube. The least they could do is offer people who bought the books a place to download the videos, or a mail-in DVD offer (I'd be willing to PAY for that, even!) I'd even friggin' cut the UPC codes out of the book covers and mail them in to prove I bought them!

Loyal Star Wars fan for 32 years, no OOT on Blu-Ray, and I am so fed up with this bullshit PIECEMEAL handling of footage that should have at least been released on DVD in 2005, it makes me doubly glad that I never bought the blu-ray set.

ARRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHH! I am SO DONE with this crap and being made to feel like a chump, I think I've finally reached my breaking point. :-(

Just curious.... (and getting very anxious to see these...!) :-)

Is there an ETA for those of us who donated blanks?

Can't wait!

Sorry buy not yet, SW 77 and ANH 97 SE are all ready for authoring and You_Too and I still need to go over ESB, the Team needs to take breaks in between looking at all this SW stuff so that is why we throw in other projects in between the SW stuff, plus 2 of the Team members are taking a short leave at the moment, 1 for personal Life stuff and 1 for health reasons, so the rest of us are doing what we can when we can, so all I can say is at this point we have no problems sending back your blanks if that is what you want, I am sorry some of these projects are taking so long but there is nothing I can do about it, the Team members are spread out all over the World, I am the only one in the US.

No, no problem, I was just curious. Whenever they're done, they're done. :-)
