Not that I am aware of. There is also this forum regarding converting SW to DVD. If you are simply looking for technical information about transferring any LD to DVD, then the threads here and at Videohelp are still a vaiuable source of information regarding tools and techniques. When I was first getting into this, I was asking many general purpose questions that could have applied to any film. There are certainly enough people working on this one project to give you a wide variety of input for any other project. Hell, even ADigitalMan has brought up some rather off-topic information on his other LD projects. (Not trying to bust your butt, ADM. )
I love my Hauppage WinTVGO model 90. $40, and with third-party software it records at the resolutions you want (don't ask why Hauppage let this get past them...I don't know.) Very easy to use.
Sadly, I think both are very likely. It seems that, much like Star Wars '77, these DVDs were simply a rough draft. Lucas' penchant for post-production fixes is becoming a bad habit.
I wonder if we'll see the same "creative differences" in the Saga set. Only time will tell.
"Bah! Marin County is in NorCal! Invade away! Southern California is better. and was where most of the OT was made, the SE's were made at the Ranch, in NorCal."
WORD, skyman8081
"NorCal is just where the invasion is starting. Next on the list is SoCal because that's the home of Hollywood,"
Nope...eastward expansion, baby. It's manifest destiny in reverse.
"And I always thought the empire would start by invading Tokyo... I mean, every monster/alien/civilization invades and destroy Tokyo first..."
Nope. Too much TV. The Empire is scared to death of Godzilla. His flaming breath reminds them of Palp's Force lightning.
"What router are you using? and do you run any firewall software on your pc (3rd party or build in winxp)"
I have a brand-new Linksys WT54G, and I'm not running a software firewall.
"Im assuming you've logged in from that ip address? have you tried doing a manual announce? other than that im not really sure how else to fix the not getting credit. (maybe ask on the myspleen forums or pm xavier)"
I've never tried manual announce. Not even sure what it is or does. The one thing that I think could be the problem is that I am using BitTornado, and the filename is too long to fit in the "Post Forwarding" space (it truncates the name.) If I change btdownloadgui.exe to btdownload.exe, the executable still works. Unfortunately, the BitTorrent file is looking for the original executable name, so this may only work for future downloads.
"You've taken the hardest step already--recognizing the problem and asking for help."
LOL
Well guys, I've done everything on Mallwalker's link also, and it's not happening. Worse yet, I just realized I'm not getting credit for my uploading this past month. WTF! That sucks.
"you and the other guy leeching both have your ports closed so my client (had to restart) is now not able to connect to anybody."
Okay, somebody help me. I've tried following the directions, but I just don't know how to set up my router and open up a port to MySpleen. I'm apparently uploading to someone, but I want to get rid of the without dropping my whole firewall.
