I thought he was all CG. I am gonna have to watch Ep1 again.
They both have black clothes with black hoods, they both shoot electricity, they are both blueish (sometimes), they both apppeared in the 2nd movie in their franchise, they both have unlimited power, they were both human but deformed by electricity.

I never adjusted the screen ratio. So it’s on factory default right now. So if the tv is capable of a screen ratio better fitting of the blu-ray I wouldn’t know.

Actually, they didn’t plan it to necessarily be Leia. He, IIRC, was actually gonna find another jedi who we didn’t know. Otherwise, Lucas definitely has an incest fetish.

Well, I watched Episode VI today. It has a really strong start but kinda drags on after that. Then it gets good at the end. Overall, these’ll be good movies to have going in the background in my room while I sit at the computer. Not as fun just sitting in a chair watching them tho. Now I gotta get I-III. Which I will next month.
What do you think Yoda might have originally meant when he told Obi wan “No, there is another”. Was Luke gonna be killed or something and a new character introduced or something? Or perhaps Luke just couldn’t be in two places at once and he would become part of the side story as a new character became the other new hope and fixed the universe. Maybe Luke could have been converted to the dark side even?

I never really touch the screen ratio settings on my tv and have no idea if it suppports the screen ratio the blu ray supports. But thanks for that youtube clip. Enjoyed getting another opinion of SW TFA. I didn’t really read alot of opinions about it but heard alot of people complain that it copies IV. I don’t know if I’ll ever buy VII, cause I know it’s coming on Starz so all I have to do is record it to DVR, won’t cost a cent. I had to buy I-VI tho cause they aren’t showing that in the US for a couple years now. And last time they were the dvd prints, not the blu-rays.

I watched Episode IV, as per the changes list there weren’t too many changes. Today I’ll watch the empire strikes back. I wish the movie didn’t have black bars around the top and bottom tho. Of course if that’s all that was filmed then that’s how I have to take it, but I woulda rather had the space taken up by video.

I’ve always disliked heavily battle-damaged images of Vader like this. For one it totally ignores the whole “he needs his mask and electronics boxes to live” thing (you know, like how Luke hesitates to take off the mask in ROTJ…). And for two, am I really supposed to believe that he was exposed to such enourmous trauma that it blew away and actually melted his shoulder and chest armor (that withstood a direct hit from Luke’s lightsaber in ESB) but his pasty white flesh underneath is just fine? It’s like having a grenade blow off a medieval knight’s plate armor leaving him standing around in his skivvies unscathed. It just immediately makes my brain hurt and my disbelief just won’t be suspended.

If lightning hitting tehe Emperor deforms him, could that mean that Vader was still looking like Hayden throughout the OT? And his unmasked appearance is a result of getting hit by Palpatine’s lightning? So when Vader decided to thrown him down, he became a Jedi again while still looking young, that’s why Force ghost Hayden makes perfect sense. George, you brilliant writer mastermind.

I’ve always thought of it as Palpatine let his guard down and revealed his true appearance.
He was physically consumed by evil long before the prequels took place, but he used the force to hide his appearance and appear younger and healthier.

So the lightning reveals true forms? That’s a Jedi skill? I think I remember it revealed Samuel Jacksons skeleton, so why didn’t it reveal Luke’s true form? He don’t have a skeleton?
Why don’t luke start getting deformed when he’s hit by lightning? I don’t think he was hit as long but should have been long enough to at least change a little.
I’d still like an exhaustive list of changes tho. The wikipedia link calls itself a partial list and I think Density didn’t say anything that wasn’t on wikipedia already.
