Yes, it’s just the OT. It won’t have any special features, I can live without it. Can someone point me out to a site that shows what they added to the Blu Ray masters of the OT? Besides vader saying no a few times before lifting up the emperor.
Edit: I don’t know if this is complete but wikipedia has a list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_changes_in_Star_Wars_re-releases
Wow, George Lucas has even been altering the prequels. I knew he made changes here and there such as Darth Maul getting cut in half but there were alot more changes than I knew of.
I saw this and I thought they did a good job overall of soundalike casting. But the delivery was kinda boring. Still a great effort overall tho.
I probably waited too long cause I don’t believe it has any special features besides commentary. I would have liked that and also the original versions. I bought those dvd’s years ago but I no longer have my collection from then. Anyway, looking forward to seeing the movies again. Now I don’t have to wait for someone to buy the tv rights for them in the US or for them to come on Netflix. I never seen the Blu-Ray versions of the movies. Looking forward to the terrible extra no’s in ROTJ.
George Lucas does, but it’s the original trilogy so he won’t release it unless you start a petition.
Is it even possible to age a wine to be that old?
We’ll use the force.
That’s not how the force works.
I think one of the old-EU explanations was that the Emperor purposely didn’t allow Vader to be fully healed so that he would always carry the pain and scars of his failure in order to better keep him under his heel.
I could see that. He’s completely servile to the Emperor in the originals. However, it really takes away from the character if he has the ability to regain his old appearance, but his boss is like, “No, pretty much destroyed the Jedi, ensured my domination of the galaxy, but you failed to kill Obi-Wan. I’m withholding plastic surgery from you.” I’d like to think the reason he holds a grudge towards Obi-Wan, is because he suffered irreparable damage from him, turning him into a monster. Even if his wife had still been alive, he’s disfigured and trapped in a walking respiratory device.
So if that whole suit is a respitory device, why is it so big? Remember in the prequels they stick something the size3 of a pencil in their mouths and they are able to breathe underwater. Did they cheap out and buy Darth a old one or something?
I aint seen the prequels in a few years, but I think I do. I’m guessing if they didnt pull the metal away they’d melt too tho. Shouldn’t the glass melt alot faster tho? It’s got a lower heating temperature I’d think, plus glass that thin can’t be a strong as metal in them sticks.
I been wonder how TR-8R’s glass electric weapon on his gun can hold off a light saber. I thought Light Sabre’s cut through anything but other light sabre’s. I’m pretty sure they used themt o cut through metal doors and stuff in the prequels and those robots were sliced apart in one swing. So how does TR’s glass weapon thing not get sliced in half when thier weapons meet?
Do you think any of the characters will use the force kick in VIII or IX? Luke just learned it in VI and got found at the end of VII. So there’s the chance he’ll teach one of the characters how to do it in VIII or he may possibly do it himself. To those who think someone will do it, who do you think will do it first?
And they avoided seeing it in the theatre for 2 weeks too?
I’m pretty sure Han says the force is real in the second trailer. If people saw that it ain’t a spoiler.
Is it cause of Han seeing Luke do the force kick?
Or did he perhaps see the force ghosts at the end of Return of the Jedi? Or is it cause of stuff that happens in between VI and VII?

The thing in this video.
If only this interview was from the early-to-mid '90s. That way we could have been spared the SEs and gotten a PT & ST which were faithful to the EU (which was still pretty decent at the time, KJA aside).
I kinda doubt if Disney bought LucasArts then that the prequels would have been made. Not enough demand for them and people wanted the sequel trilogy all along. Of course there would be no JJ Abrahms at that time so who knows if the sequel trilogy would have been any good.
Don’t you think he would have AIMED for the soft spot in the desert? If I was crashing I would think that’s a good idea. It’ll break your fall. People should be commending that pilot for his ingenuity, not slamming JJ Abrahms.
You know, the guy from the first preview of the force awakens? The puppet? If so, where was he? Describe the scene leading up to it. I’ll look for it when it comes on payperview.
I wanna see Hayden Christensen in Episode 8, cause it makes sense for him to be in it. It won’t make sense for Ben to get young again tho, so it should be CGI instead of Ewan.
I hope this ain’t the final look for the site. The huge letters are a real turn off. And you have to log in just to see the forums.
Yes, of course there will be downtime.
It'd really make more sense to move the forum after everyone has seen Episode 7 and the hype begins to die down. Anyone else agree?

The OOT ending of ROTJ didn't make sense anyway. Why was anakin suddenly a normal guy instead of bald and pasty white? I don't mind most of the retcons of the Special Editions so I hope they follow that.
By your reckoning then, why wasn't Obi-Wan just half a person?
That was a deleted scene where obiwan was cut in half. Officially obiwan turned into a force ghost before the light sabre hit him.
Yeah, but why would he be expecting Anakins ghost? His body didn't dissapear like Yoda or Obi-Wan. It shows Luke burning the body later.
Also, your father looking younger than you isn't that big a deal. Ever watch field of dreams or back to the future?
Luke smiled at the force ghost of anakin out of kindness, he didn't even know that was Anakin. That's my guess.
Also, if Anakin's force ghost can appear anyway he wants then why wouln't he choose his younger self before he went to the dark side?
It's prettty stupid, he saved him so he's at the point before he became evil right? That's why he gots normal color for his skin and normal body parts? But for some reason he's aged. Did Luke somehow create an alternate timeline or something?
Perhaps it'll be established that the OOT will be the prequel to VII and the EU will be the sequel to the special edition.
