Offically sanctioned Ewok firing a blaster? If so, we’ve come a long way from Lucasfilm forcing Topps to remove a knife from an Ewoks hand back in the 90’s.

What’s this about Topps and Ewok knives? I want to hear that story.

Long story short, a Topps promo trading card back in 1993 showed Ewoks attacking a Biker scout…

Someone at Lucasfilm objected, (presumably George) and the card that made it into regular packs was retouched.

The original unaltered card was valuable for a time before Ebay existed. That the spiked club ball of death was left alone is hilarious. Did Ewoks even have such a thing?

Another card showing a what appears to be members of Yoda’s species worshiping an idol was withdrawn completely. Very few got out, so it’s rare.

Ok, so what’s the difference between the Ewok cards? Besides that one has richer color?

For those doubting that GL had the whole saga planned out in detail while making IV

I was proposing that The Leah that was born with Luke in Ep 3 died. But they saved one of Padme’s eggs and some of darths sperm and had a tube baby 2 years later. And they named that kid Leah too. That will explain the 2 year difference between the twins. Also why those twins aren’t identical.

So…there were three eggs during the initial pregnancy?

Why so suprisded? She’s a alien after all.

Finally ordered Blu Rays of original series
Time

It’ll be a while, but I’m gonna get the original version dvd’s again. Of course the smaller picture will suck but there’s a few parts/mistakes I’d like to see again. Like that one painting of a hallway in IV that was painted the wrong way so it looked like the wall and hallway bent when filmed at the wrong angle, in V I wanna see the original emporer, and I can see Sebastian shaw again in VI.

Does anyone know if the OOT disc has the same intro movie as the 2004 DVD? I remember really liking those new CG scenes they made for it so it would be nice to see them again.

Episode VII: The Force Awakens - Discussion * SPOILER THREAD *
Time

When I first saw Episode VII it bothered me that Rey learned all those force powers by herself without being taught it. But there’s elements of this in Ep V. Luke uses the force to get his light saber and it didn’t show anyone teaching him that anywhere previously. If he had learned that from Obi Wan when he was alive he could have stole the light saber from Darth if he wanted to and saved Obi Wan.

I like puppets that are realistic like jabba. Just the cheap undetailed ones take you out of the movie. They should either be touched up with CG or replaced entirely. I know that won’t happen anymore tho since GL is no longer part of Star Wars. I heard the 4K versions will have further changes but I doubt GL did that much, plus I think it’ll be a long time before I get a 4k TV anyway.

I’m 37. I didn’t see Episodes IV-VI until I was around 18 that I can recall. I saw the Special editions then. I didn’t see them again until I saw Episode 3 on dvd and then went on to watch the rest of them. Some puppets are pretty good looking like Jabba. But some of the stuff like the pigs and yoda look pretty fake. I wish GL coulda CG’d alot of the aliens, well, with a reliable CG company. I know some of the CG creatures in the later movies still look fake. Even in Episode VII.

I wish they would use the guys that did CG Arnold in Terminator IV and V. He looked pretty real.
