Hope Wanted: for Music for the Vader VS. Obi-Wan Rematch...
Time
The only music I could think of now would be "Dart Battle" from the Stargate Atlantis Soundtrack, but maybe it's still too fast for what you are searching for.

Over a year ago I also tried to give the lightsaber fight in ANH some music. My aim was to give it more energy, so I of course used "Battle of the Heroes" and "Anakin vs. Obi-Wan". In my opinion the result is okay, but I understand that your attitude that fast music doesn't match it. Just for fun, here's my edit:

I updated my first post. There's a new clip: the complete first Jedi Council meeting. All in all I'm not content with it, there should be music which expresses a feeling of menace.

In the future I will upload all my clips at youtube because there they don't expire.

@Weezer12: I will give it a try, just give me some time.

I abandoned working on Episode I! It's too much work for me at the moment. School is taking too much of my time! I won't delete the project files, maybe someday I'll continue working on it, but not now.

For those of you who are disappointed now, I will continue releasing short concept video clips of scenes with changed music. Perhaps they can be inspiration for other editors. So, here's a concept clip of an EpIII Mustafar scene (music sounds a bit odd, because I couldn't get away the original music):

For Mace Windu's last scene I used a track from the soundtrack of ROTJ: The Battle of Endor II. The part of it that you hear in the video clip starts around 4:50.

I thought about adding the titles of the music cues to the list of scenes in my first post, but I want to keep some little surprises for the release.

SOTE has some good pieces to use for this edit, but sometimes it's too medieval. I guess you'll have to wait to find out which pieces I used. Sorry

@andy_k_250: I made the same experience with Battlefront 2. The PT music may be good to underline action scenes and such things, but the OT music really supports happy and tragic events and it creates sort of a magical atmosphere, which the PT music could never build up.

A while ago I did a clip of Mace Windu's Death. I think it's a more shocking and touching version than the original. I guess the original download is already dead, so here's a new one:

Windu's Death

I don't understand why John Williams changed his style so much, but I know it's not impossible to correct his mistakes.

Now, after sleeping and watching it again, I feel dissatisfied with the music of the edited scene, I really have problems with finding music for it. I have done a new version with other music, it only shows a part of the arrival, but I will also change the music of the other parts that were shown in the clip before. And this one is only a very rough version regarding the cut of the music:

So as you can read in my first post, I have changed the music of the Coruscant-Arrival-Scene. For that, I have used two pieces of "Shadows of the Empire", but now I'm not sure if it really matches the Star Wars atmosphere. Because of that, I want YOU to decide whether the music is ok or I should use other music. Here's the clip:

THE OLD REPUBLIC: Arrival at Coruscant

AND if there's someone who can do the fade out into the credits for my last scene, please send me a pm!!!

EDIT: I noticed that the video and audio aren't synchronous, but that doesn't matter at all, it's only a little bit and as I wrote: the music is important!!!

Thank you for your replies people!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The new title developed after I noticed several things:

1. In the web documentary "Good to G.O." I really like the moment when Lucas talks about the jedi being like marshals in the Old West, the keepers of peace.

2. I often used music pieces of "Knights of the Old Republic II", more than I thought I would.

3. With my edit, I want to create an old atmosphere (like Episodes IV, V and VI)

So that led me to the title "The Old Republic". And this is the only episode it really fits to, because in Episode II we already have a sith controlling the republic and a war going on. Btw, if I'm going to do Episode II someday, I'll take MagnoliaFan's title: The Clone War.

Hello again!!!

Yes, I'm still working on it while most of you forgot it or never knew it.

It's a very slow progress. Good weather outside keeps me away from the computer. But I want to give you a little update:

- list in my first post got an update
- Neimodian voices will NOT be altered (the changed voice doesn't fit Nute Gunray's and the other neimodian's characters in this edit)
- Episode I got a new title, now it's EPISODE I: THE OLD REPUBLIC
- did a little teaser for TOR:
GET IT HERE!

Actually, this teaser doesn't really show any of the scenes with changed music, cuts or additions. It's just a teaser for Episode I with it's new title. And don't worry, the final music cut of the edit won't be as bad as in the teaser and I won't use the Waterworld piece.

- TOR will (of cause) have a new crawl, which I haven't done yet
- if I'm going buy one of the OOT-DVDs in september (I'm not sure yet), and it has the old 20th Century Fox logo und Lucasfilm Ldt. logo in good quality, they'll be in
- after changing the pitch of some voices I tried to change the pitch of the music too, and in some cases it matches the mood of TOR better now
- don't know if TOR will be released this year (I don't want to feel any pressure)

Episode II: Shroud of the Dark Side (the TM edit) (Released)
Time
Very nice trailer, Trooperman!!!! But there are two things I want to mention:

1. Maybe you should raise the pitch of Anakin's new voice a little bit, but only A LITTLE BIT! In Episode II Anakin is a thin person, physically. Such a deep voice doesn't seem to fit, but I like it at all, especially considering Anakin's later voice: James Earl Jones. So, only A LITTLE BIT!

2. I love what the kiss scene has become. It looks like it happen's in the moon light. Very romantic!!!!!!!!

All in all, if you adapt Anakin's voice A LITTLE BIT, I have no doubt that SOTDS will create the feeling and atmosphere of the Original Trilogy! Wonderful!!!!
