Star Trek - The Motion Picture/The Next Gen theme played on a church organ by a German?
Pretty darn good!

I’ll be back eventually.
Don’t stay away for too long, take care 😃
It’s great to see so many of the old names popping back to say hello in a certain other thread. I hope they stick around for a bit!
Don’t be rude, Duracell. Leon is a professional. A bit more respect is due I think.

You didn’t like the remakes of The Thing or The Fly?You suck at things.
The Thing (2011) was not a remake, it was a prequel and yes I did like it.
“John Carpenter’s The Thing” is a remake of “The Thing From Another World”.
Don’t worry, pittrek. Fan edits and to be specific, Harmy’s despecialized edition, is something Lucasfilm, Disney (and Fox for that matter) are already aware of. This site and several others on the net would’ve been lawyered out of existence long ago if they had the intention to do so. Disney sued a kindergarten that had a hand-painted Mickey Mouse on its wall a few years ago, if they want something gone then it’ll get dealt with. Reporting scumbags who are profiting from selling their copyrighted material, whatever the source is, can only do good and will discourage others in the future.
Besides, Lucasfilm can’t acknowledge Despecialized, or by extension, the fan editors who created it or the sites they use, without dropping themselves right into the awkwardness of talking about the OUT - which is something they are deliberately not doing.
It’s small enough to not be affecting revenue at the moment but that could change if more people begin dealing in custom sets, especially on the open marketplaces like eBay.
I say report them, report them a lot.
My mum found the Poldark fridge magnet. She was rather pleased!
“Halloween” (2007) and “Halloween 2” (2009).
I’m not a huge fan of Rob Zombie’s films and I never bothered to watch these two until now. They were both bold attempts to reimagine a dead franchise in a new way whilst still hitting enough beats from the originals to keep old fans… interested(?) Nothing seems to really work though. For all the good, there’s twice as much bad. Some great acting, some great waste of acting, some great ideas, some great waste of ideas - you get the idea.
The overall impression these films left me with is perfectly summed-up by seeing cute little moppet Danielle Harris from the earlier movies all grown up and having sex - a skanky, grimy uncomfortable experience that really just feels wrong.
Oh, and they pulled the old “it was all a dream!” trick on me again - that those scenes were one of the better parts of either movie was bad enough, that the dream itself was twenty-ish minutes long was unforgivable.
Each film earns itself 1 mark out of 5.
I sneakily put a Poldark magnet on my mum’s fridge earlier. I wonder how long it’ll take her to notice?
It’s appalling enough that this jerk is trying to profit using other people’s hard work. The fact they are charging $190 for their “time and effort” making the set to order whilst insisting the buyer already own the official releases leaves me at loss for words. Like, I actually don’t know how to phrase how that makes me feel.
F**k you, "sellingstuffagain, or whatever your name is, I wish you a lifetime of warts, flatulence and bad breath.
I reckon there’s far more men than women actually posting here. But keep in mind there’s probably a lot of female lurkers who regularly read this site. I’ve been here for nearly ten years but I only made a profile last year.
I’d say it’s pretty much impossible to accurately gauge the gender diversity on an open forum like this one but it is interesting that we’re mostly dealing with fellas making the posts.
Yeah but you’re really old though.
Was the Space-Pear slicing scene in Attack of the Clones the only time we’ve seen people eating fruit in anything Star Wars?
Yeah, normally we’re on the same page Ray but I’ve got to agree with Frink. For me, there’s two other Alien films I’d put above the first Friday.
Only one possible female in the whole thread?
I’m an actual female.
Serious question.
Who’s worse - the people who write horoscopes or the people who follow them?
Worser than the worst Friday the 13th maybe? That’s pretty worse - I don’t think it’s the worstest out of any of those.
This actually began as a sensible post, sorry.
13 years! Is this a new record for OT.com?
We are Porg.

Spoiler warning for all those who don’t know that Yoda dies in The Empire Strikes Back because it ruins that surprise for you.
Feared Jocks
Nobody mentioned Jeanne Moreau the other day so I thought I’d better drop her in. 89 is a ripe old age though.
Also, Robert Hardy has passed away aged 91. Those of you in the U.S. might recognise him from Harry Potter but he’ll always be Siegfried Farnon to me. A legend, who simply couldn’t have been any more British if he tried!
I hope both are resting in peace.
