You’re probably right about that ! So indeed most of the Episodes don’t really have a McGuffin (except the main theme of characters led by and/or for the will of the Force, especially during the PT), but I can see that ANH and TFA do have one. In TLJ it doesn’t seem to be more than a meta joke (the code breaker stuff).
Well, in ANH they already have the plans.

You know, this could be a totally non controversial change since there is no need to video edit anything to implement it, hence an alternate audio track would be far enough.

I like the Revisited idea of using a AOTC landscape (the beautiful shot of Anakin on the speeder), but I prefer the colors of SE (which are very AOTC oriented… at least the theatrical AOTC, not the greenish bluray version)… maybe a match of both would be the best version 😃
Rewatching the Predator series (Predator: masterpiece; Predator 2: excellent; The Predator: very cool; Predators: lame… this is what happens when Joel Silver is not involved, guys !), since I don’t like the cross over episodes (AVP & AVP: Requiem) is there a fanedit (easily available) that blends them together as one fun ride ?

I remember that I removed the droids sound on NewGuy’s edit for my own custom audio track (just the second scene - where R2 and 3PO are hidding behind a door -, not the first because there was a slightly different timing between the OOT and the SE). I personally don’t mind them, I just don’t like their sound for some reason.
Just curious: what would be the result of blending the sunset shots ?
Otherwise, it looks good… even though I don’t really know anymore how the OT is supposed to look ! (who does ? 😄)
I still don’t understand why it would be the reason to ask Luke to train him. If Ben was Force sensitive, Luke was the obvious choice to train him, being the only Jedi left at the end of ROTJ. I like the idea of trimming this Han/Leia conversation though.
Oh ! I like that quite a lot ! All the exposition powerpoint stuff is gone and you keep the emotional core of the scene.

Other than, y’know, having almost any of my final sources available, it’s as done as it can get. I might just put a workprint version on the Google Drive as a placeholder. The biggest thing missing is Ridley’s work with the Sarlacc (original version is used now). And I have only eyeballed the various 4K83 shots to get them to roughly match in order to produce a placeholder export.
For the OOT shots, keep in mind the 4k83 scan does not display the bluray issue with the out of focused sequence during the Endor arrival. Don’t know if Ady is going to release a color corrected version with that sequence corrected as well (he posted a few weeks ago he managed to blend this footage into his bluray regraded version), like he did for ANH, if he does it would be quite great.

After watching Hal’s v3, I certainly am fine with all the changes you want to make in addition of Hal’s. The Han/Leia scenes are very… awkward (especially the scene when they mention Snoke, Luke and their son, with all the meta jokes “and don’t say the death star” and the non sense “that’s why I wanted Luke to train him” - I didn’t know there was more Jedi Masters after ROTJ to train new Jedi 😕 - ., I felt so embarrassed during this scene…).
However, I would suggest you to keep Ren’s “Grand father”. It’s nice to uderstand the relationship at this point of the movie.

Your Rogue One edit was nice, easily the best conservative cut I’ve seen of this movie. I still haven’t dared to watch Solo again (between this and TLJ in 4k, I always choose TLJ 😄), your cutlist seems to remove many of my problems with it (mainly L3 and most of the silly prequelism).
Hum… maybe now is the time to try this SW flick again…

I would love to see Shaw as the Force ghost but with Anakin’s leather outift of Episode 3 and maybe a haircut that matches more Episode 3 Anakin.
Lucas was remixing the movie while it was already released in 1977 so I guess 1981 might be different. Was the mix redone in 1985 ? (with the C3PO line added on the DS ?)

Slight changes :
Ep4/5 are stellar. Ep3/6/8 are solid. Ep1/2 are mediocre but keep the SW spirits somehow. R1 is dull but the last part is OK for some reasons. Ep7 and Solo are very embarrassing (I watched Hal’s v3 yesterday, the movie is better in his cut but so many things are so wrong and phony in every scene - and Ford and Ridley are so bad - that I’m not sure it can really be saved with fanediting anymore). Solo is just the same kind.
Who says Han wanted to be reassuring ? 😄
