People IRL around me call it “Episode VII”, or “The new Star Wars”, even “Star Wars VII”, but no one uses “Le réveil de la Force” (“The Force awakens”). Maybe we got used of the number. R1 will probably be called “the new Star Wars which is not Star Wars VIII/Episode VIII” or “Star Wars III.5”.

It’s like Pitch Black released since 2004 as The Chronicles of Riddick: Pitch Black (though the third entry is only Riddick…).
