Ideally, there should just have been no episode number in the crawl. Star Wars logo, followed by TESB / ROTJ / TFA. I love those tall letters used to spell out the episode title.
I think GL himself was bothered about this number thing: “Oh… I have 3 movies to make to complete this… what was I thinking ?”
Palpatine’s wife ?
How would Luke know who it was?
Because of the Force ? But aside of that, there is the movie logic (does Luke recognize the - undamaged - face of his father he only saw a few minutes ?) and the saga logic… and both aren’t always logic. Really it’s more or less the same [to me].
I’ll never call it “Episode VII”
People IRL around me call it “Episode VII”, or “The new Star Wars”, even “Star Wars VII”, but no one uses “Le réveil de la Force” (“The Force awakens”). Maybe we got used of the number. R1 will probably be called “the new Star Wars which is not Star Wars VIII/Episode VIII” or “Star Wars III.5”.
Good idea indeed. But would make even more sense to leave Hayden as well.

I don’t think that the insigna is canon. A fleet or vice admiral would probably be in charge of the construction. A grand admiral would probably we more concerned about the war at hand, and leading the empire’s naval ships. If that makes sense.
For now we don’t know what the guy is doing in the movie. All we can say is that he’s got a gun, a nice outfit, and he’s walking on a battlefield. He could be the Captain Phasma of R1…
Disney doesn’t want to bring back anyone from prequels. They will have to eventually, but don’t expect it in Rogue One.
The actress playing Mon Mothma in Rogue One also played her in Episode III (though the scene was deleted).
Genevieve O’Reilly indeed. Nice move from Disney here. I hope it will lead Disney to release the PT deleted scenes in higher quality in a future box set.

Why would it make more sense ? Real question, not nagging. The insigna he’s wearing (http://www.starwarsnewsnet.com/2016/04/speculation-ben-mendelsohns-character-in-rogueone.html) ?
If they begin to make a “Rogue” franchise, I would love to see Benedict Cumberbatch as an Imperial officer. Good actor with an interesting face, could be great.
The “united frustrated people”. Good to know. Have fun 😄
Ok, another round… (sigh)

Along those lines, for those of you who think you have to be a member of the race being stereotyped…what gives you the right to insist it’s not a stereotype if you aren’t a member of that race? That’s far worse!Sorry I don’t get it: not sure I said that.
Which part of “for those of you” was unclear? You aren’t the only stereotype excuser in this thread.
“Those of you” but you still say “you aren’t the only blablabla”, so I guess it was also addressed to me.
The rest of your post is either ridiculous or flat out wrong.
Fair enough. I do think the same for all your posts in this thread.
I usually don’t reply to the haters but I just felt compelled in this one specific instance. No hard feelings.
Haters… haters to what exactly ? What do you mean, dude ?
[Frink, is that you ? You’re a little bit funnier usually]
I don’t remember you. Who are you again ?
You can’t remember anybody because you’re 12 years old and have only been around for a couple months. Please do keep posting though.
Ok… but really: who are you again ? I believe this is the first time you’ve replied to my messages (here and on the other controversial thread), so I wonder… Hence I get this is kind of a “sneak attack” that does not even belong to this thread.
If this is anything to go off of, it seems Episode VII is in the official title.
Thanks ! US copyright office, I should have thought of this site !
I don’t remember you. Who are you again ?
Now, what about the black slave stereotypes of TFA ? Finn is a black dude who deserts his masters (his main job was toilet cleaner), who gets a new name thanks to a white man, who drinks the same water as an animal, and who gets beaten by Rey because he’s accused of having stolen the jacket of a white man by a white ginger droïd ? I clearly find this quite offensive.
That does not make one lick of sense.
This is in the movie. I don’t make up things. These are all facts.
It still does not answer my question: these are posters, i.e. the way the movies are marketed.
They are posters, i.e. the way the movies are marketed.
The official name is Star Wars: The Force Awakens.Does this answer your question?
Sources ? It seems no one can provide me the right answer with facts, no just guess.
Ok, another round… (sigh)

Sorry I don’t get it: not sure I said that. But anyway if you feel offended by Watto I guess there is nothing more to add. I believe you’re wrong to be but this is subjective. The issue is that next time I watch TMP and AOTC I’ll think “oh, so Watto looks like TV’s Frink ? Intriguing…”.
If anyone here (who doesn’t think there are racial stereotypes in TPM) is a Black Asian Jew, I’d like to hear about it for sure.
We need to show them TPM and hear what they think about that : https://terminusabyssinie.files.wordpress.com/2013/08/mg_5338.jpg
(if TPM is such a racist movie, these black asian jewish guys are likely going to sue GL)

What the hell are those chapter numbers?
There might be something to do with the Young Indy tv series.
It’s like Pitch Black released since 2004 as The Chronicles of Riddick: Pitch Black (though the third entry is only Riddick…). As for SW, they are now all marketed without the number, even the PT, which are largely known with their number : http://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Phantom-Limited-Blu-ray/dp/B013JAFTS0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1460531820&sr=8-2
Another example: the first sequel of Die Hard is known as Die Hard 2: Die Harder (video release, soundtrack albums…), but “Die Harder” is the tagline put on posters, in the opening credit it is only displayed Die Hard 2.
But again, this is how they want to sale the movies, not their actual names. So, my question was and still is: where can we find the information of the real title of a movie ? Is it written someone in the end credits along with the exploitation visa ?
And I’m not religious. So what am I?
You are an American.
That’s not a race.
You can be semitic, or armenian, or turkish, or slavs. It’s even possible you can be latin or nordic. I don’t know your genealogy, so please send me a blood sample so I can run a few tests. I’m not sure you really are jewish, regarding your claimed higher IQ (nice article you’ve posted by the way, not racist at all…).
- Your opinion of my “Jewishness” is irrelevant.
- I claimed a higher IQ? You must be confusing me with this guy.
- I will admit to only skimming the article, I was making reference to the genetic study. I’m curious what is racist about it, however, so perhaps you’d like to elaborate.
- I’m still waiting for you to explain why ANY of this is relevant to the question of TPM being full of stereotypes.
Still waiting…
Really ? Dude it’s getting late here and the C1 quarterfinals are long over now, so quickly:
I don’t care as a matter of fact of your “jewishness”: you’re the one who talked about it, so don’t if it’s just a fact dropping that does not add anything important to the discussion. Your personal life is personal, don’t share it.
well, ok (I was quoting the article as a matter of fact, “being sarcastic”).
it might not be (i’ll read it entirely tomorrow), I’ll check the methodology and the discussion if I have the time.
why did you talk about Israel and jewish stereotypes in the first place if Watto’s alleged stereotypes have nothing to do with Israel or jewish ? As for Nute Gunray I never thought the guys was an asian space-dude who carries blatant racist stereotypes (but he’s racist against gungans, or “specists” to be acurate). I simply don’t see it. Would Clint say to Nute “Get off my lawn” ? You don’t agree ? Oh, that’s new ! First time ever we don’t agree on something. It was to happen some day I guess.
My final message in this thread. I leave you the floor to continue your crusade…
edit: tell your padawan is not up to the task. By far…
R1 is Divergent with x-wings and tie-fighters
Nice to know you’ve seen it.
I can spoile you the end if you want.
