I would prefer Rey, Snoke, Finn, Poe, etc. unrelated to any known character. The galaxy is wide, bring fresh blood. I don’t understand the buzz around Rey’s parents: I really don’t give a shit about her parents. Have we met Obi-Wan’s parents ? Yoda’s ? Han’s ? Chewie’s ?

We did meet Chewie’s dad once. 😉

My bad ! I hope they won’t forget about that in the Han Solo Movie 😃

It’s total bullshit. There is no hint to whatsoever. It’s Star Wars, not Dallas.

To be clear:

  • Rey is Sabine’s daughter ? No hint;
  • Sabine is Obi-Wan’s dauther ? No hint.

There is a dark saber ? Yep, Maul was a former ruler of Mandalore, he kept an artifact as a souvenir (he basically says it !). Sabine picks up the dark saber ? Yep, she’s a mandalore, she knows what it is, that’s all ! Maul wants to find Obi-Wan ? No big deal: Ben is his oldest ennemy, he wants revenge, it wasalready the topic of the previous episode he appeared in.

Average episode, better than the previous Maul’s one; but the season stays very weak compared to the first one and even to the second one. It’s time they finish it.

edit: i’m talking about the last episode. Some say the so called “hints” will be contained in the january episode (Ghost of Geonosis II). I really hope not (Rey being a Kenobi would be such a bad idea).

Clone Wars Movie Series [Episodes I to V released; Episode IX: The Fallen Apprentice now Complete!]
Time

Is a PM sent to you the best way to get the links or are you going to put them somewhere ?

edit: what 8 episodes have you exactly used ? (using your description I can count the following: Children of the Force, The Mandalore Plot, Voyage of Temptation, Duchess of Mandalore, Senate Spy, Corruption, The Academy, Landing at Point Rain, Weapons Factory, Legacy of Terror, and Brain Invaders, but I guess a few aren’t part of your project)

however quite afraid of the lame “marvel” humor of the tv spots so far.

To be fair, you could make an ad for Star Wars only using footage from 1977 and make it seem like a silly kids adventure, a lighthearted Marvel superhero movie, a dramatic space drama or even a sci-fi comedy. When these comedic bits are stretched out over a 2 hr. run time instead of jammed together in a 60 second ad they’ll (hopefully!) seem more natural.

You’re totally right about that. Within the context of the movie the humor can work. But the main reference I have when it comes to Disney is how they handle the Avengers movies with a teenage approach for humor and characterization, and TFA was already filled with that.

Good, the weird helmet shot has been corrected. I know a few disney-whores have already found explanations about that ('cause we all know Disney can’t do anything wrong, hum…) but it seems they didn’t buy it themselves and finally made the proper alteration (well, there is still the curious hand-boner gesture but in context it might not look that ridiculous).

I still believe in Gareth (however quite afraid of the lame “marvel” humor of the tv spots so far…).

In fact I’ve come to think that If I really like a fan edited PT (and quite conservative ones such as Hal’s versions of TPM and AOTC - ROTS is already a good SW in its theatrical form, TLOE improves it but it’s not as night and day as AOTC/TAS), it probably means I don’t hate the theatrical versions that much (as a matter of fact I used to like TPM and I even thought after te first screening in 2002 that AOTC was good - the same happened 13 years later with TFA…). So I usually say that I don’t like the official versions, but I enjoy a recut where the lame parts are removed.

A few things: By editing the AC3 audio in AUdacity, AUdacity can only reencode, so you’ll take a quality hit. For lossless editing, you can try mkvtoolnix or delaycut to add silence & cut etc.

AUdacity cannot make DTS. try Surcode or DTS master audio suite.

Thanks, i’ll try the other softwares. With audacity and already compressed files used it’s not an issue (well… I might be wrong about that): for instance, a 448kbps file can be saved with the same quality.

TV's Frink's Star Wars Fanedit Upload Request Thread In Which You Can Request That I Upload A Star Wars Fanedit And I Will Respond Yay Or Nay (CHECK FIRST POST BEFORE MAKING REQUESTS)

I don’t know where else I can ask it: Frink, as the fan-edit “great wizard”, do you know if someone had made an audio-hybrid edition of Blade Runner, using the final cut as the video source and as the main audio source with parts of the voiceover of the theatrical cut into it ? I know ADM produced something similar, but he changed the video as well.

Gosh… Vader looks… terrible in this shot… Is his mask falling apart ? (and why does he do a “hand-boner” ?..) I’m really wishing Vader wasn’t part of the movie now.
The new story elements contained in this new trailer are killing the expectations I had about this new disney christmas movie. The rebellion part seems way worst than I thought it would be (these dialogues, cheesy as hell). Ok it’s a kid movie but kids aren’t dumb… well, not all of them…
Overall it still looks decent but that’s pretty much all it’s got. Hope I’m wrong, I’m a fan of Gareth Edwards work so far (Monster - not great but very interesting - Godzilla 2014 - very good kaiju eiga flick).
