The TPM and AOTC novels are both better than their respective films but that’s a low bar. They aren’t as good as ROTS. The ROTJ adaptation is also surprisingly good. The original SW is pretty fun. The ESB book is nothing special.
Can anyone suggest me some good SW novels, specifically ones that are better than that of what they are based off of? I was blown away by how much better the plot of ROTS worked for me when the dialogue/series of events was overhauled by a competent author. I’d like to see if any other books have done the same.

I remember liking the TPM novelization more than the film but I haven’t read it in 17 years.

The ROTS novelization is definitely something that’s worthy of a try. It’s a lot better than LoE and that’s saying something considering LoE is leagues better than the theatrical version of ROTS. The only other novelization of a SW movie I have read is TFA and it’s pretty hit or miss.
What’s LoE, precious?

Labyrinth of Evil. Do you remember “that business on Cato Nemodia doesn’t, doesn’t count”? They wrote a book about it.

To be clear I meant Hal 9000’s ROTS fanedit.
Ah, ok. That makes a lot more sense.

I’d say Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, but this is a SW forum.

I’d say Stargate, but this is a SW forum.
