(Head canon is that 3PO was built over 100 years BBY and Anakin found him all torn apart and fixed him up.)

Are you still going to remove Snoke’s name in a few scenes ? It’s a change of your list that I don’t quite understand while everything else seems very solid.

And I must say I’m pretty excited by all the little readded stuff. Episode I fanedits always feel too rushed; CoD is the best balanced of them all, but still feels a little bit short; now, with this little extra material CoD will gain less slight jarring cuts and an even better balanced pace. If you add a brand new crawl, dts theatrical sound and uncompressed video-sound files, it’s going to be glorious 😃

Ehrenreich seems to have Han’s mannerisms down. It’s all going to boil down to whether us old fogeys accept him as Han Solo or not. I had no problems accepting the cast of Star Trek 2009, because in the end I saw Kirk Spock and McCoy on the screen even if they were being portrayed by different actors.
In the end Ehrenreich has to be Han, not Harrison. If he can make Han his own, it’s going to be a fun ride.Yes!! That’s it exactly. Well put Wook. He has to be Han, not Ford. Good point on Trek. As I’ve said many times before, if you can recast Kirk, Spock, and McCoy (and they did a fantastic job), you can recast anyone.
Well… I don’t think I see Kirk, Spock and McCoy with the nuTrek movies. Spock might be the worst. Not because of the actor, but because of the writing. Pretty sure in the end this Solo movie will be another Disney flick to be ranked just between ANH/TESB and ROTJ by most of the OT.com members anyway, so no worries guys 😃

Curiously, most of the trailer doesn’t feel western, but more swashbuckler oriented (like this shot of the Destroyer out of the fog).

Yeas indeed, used space approach. But it didn’t prevent the movies from being colorful, not completely grey and stuff.
And it also seems to be a nice continuation of the Rogue One’s heightened realism aesthetic.
It’s SW. Why would anyone want a “realism aesthetic” ? I really miss when SW were space-op movies and not gray looking Marvel flicks…
Especially for TESB, with all the music transitions clearly improved.
