Sorry I forgot to post the link to the iTunes store.

I picked up The Warriors in HD from iTunes awhile back and it's the theatrical cut. I'm not sure if that info is of any use to Team Blu but I've been very happy with that purchase.
I'm not sure if this matters because I don't post very often but I used Crappy_Logo_Productions back in '05 to talk about the few fan edits I did. Feel free to do what you want with that account Moth3r. I stopped posting with it after getting a cease and desist letter due to my Pulp Fiction edit. I'll return to lurker mode now.
Just got done watching this and it is hands down the best this film has looked ever. Team Blu did a wonderful job on this. Thanks for the hard work everyone on Team Blu. I can't wait to see what you release next.
This is now online at myspleen for those interested in checking it out. I plan on watching it this evening. I'll report back once I've seen the disc.
Oh man I can't wait to check this one out. Your team did a great job on both the Conan and Night of the Living Dead discs.

Is the image above the best that's out there, or are there any higher resolution frame captures?
The screen shot I posted above is what I found after a quick Google search. I had no idea what people were talking about and figured others might not so I posted that image.
There may be better captures out there but that was the first one that I found.
Just for fun. :)

I just wanted to post this for reference.
I have a folder of random movie stuff that contains some faces DVD covers in my box account you could check out.

I don't have this set of covers but you might be able to recreate something similar using what you find in there.
I completely forgot to get back to this thread but I did end up finding my Halloween II bluray (in the car) and the deleted scenes are not in widescreen like I remembered. Sorry to get your hopes up guys. :(

Thanks, Mackey. Sorry for the trouble! That classic must be found!
lol it wouldn't bother me so much if the dang thing wasn't practically brand new. Hell it's only been available for a month and a day.
Just got a text back from my brother who says he already gave Halloween II back to me. I have no idea where it is now. I'll check again tonight when I get home but I may have misplaced it.
Once I find it I'll report back on the Deleted scenes.
That's completely understandable.
I don't think they ever put the extended Halloween footage out in HD. I'm not sure one way or the other about that though.
In fact as the day goes on I'm less sure about the Halloween II deleted footage being in HD.
Edit: Nope the extended edition footage has never been released in HD.
Never mind my last post.
If you are working at DVD resolution then you can just take that youtube footage (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22sKuZMlgcg) and add some film grain to it and it would look fine blown up for your edit.
I was under the impression you were making an HD Fan Edit.
Still no word from my brother about the Halloween II deleted scenes but he's probably at work.
I did a quick youtube search for the Halloween: Resurrection 8mm footage and found this link.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22sKuZMlgcg
I don't know if this is better or worse than the copy you have but I downloaded it and converted the footage to 1080p. As you can guess it looked pretty bad.
I then added some noise to hide the digital blocking and it started to look a bit better.
I then added some more filters to hide a few other imperfections and now it's at least watchable at 1080p.
I looks nothing like the original, I'm sure. Seeing as it's supposed to look like old worn out footage I figured that would be OK. If anyone wants to see the footage shoot me a PM.
Just went to double check my Blu Ray of Halloween II to really make sure the deleted scenes were in widescreen and realized I let my brother borrow it.
I'll shoot him a text to have him check for me. I'm 98% sure they were but I'm doubting myself now. :-/
I'm talking about the new BluRay released of Halloween II by Shout Factory. The TV cut is from the second disc (DVD) and is 4:3 SD. The deleted scenes from the the TV cut are on the BluRay disc in 16:9 HD.
IMDB has a pretty good list already.

There is also be lengthy discussion about it over at this Halloween message board.

The Shout Factory version of Halloween 2 has the TV cut in SD but the deleted scenes (stuff from the TV Cut) are all in HD. That could prove be useful if you plan on using that footage in your edit.
About 7 years ago I did an edit where I combined Halloween 1 & 2 into one long movie. I sent a DVD copy to DJ and then forgot about it. It was called Halloween: The Night He Came Home.
I always thought that turned out pretty good.
Holy cow great work on this release. I finally got around to ripping my Jurassic Park BluRay to .mkv so I could sync this track with the video and it sounds amazing.
Just a note to those playing back DTS HD via Media Browser or XBMC.
I encountered a few problems with my video stuttering with the DTS HD audio. I down converted the DTS HD file to DTS using TSmuxer and then added that to the video and it played back fine. This is more than likely a problem with my computer but I just wanted to put out that possible solution for anyone who may happen to run into a playback problem using DTS HD.
I guess I didn't think of that. I pictured this as a series of video clips that might repeat and zoom in on sections of the video while you narrated what changes had been made. Like I said, just a thought.
Why not skip the text on the comparison gallery and just record an audio commentary for it? It might be easier to explain the changes you've made.
Just a thought...
...but you can't upload new torrents. That is the problem.
