Well if someone were to capture the VHS version I wouldn't be opposed to reediting with DVD footage to make it all sparkly and new.

I think I remember a cool trailer of all three OT films that was put together about the time Episode I was coming out. I can't recall where I saw it though.

Get Nero and you should be good to go. I don't think you can do it with roxio. I'm not possitive. Here is a link to a guide on burning DVD files with Nero.

No 88keyz is right. PAL 100 = NTSC 104. It's goofy like that.

Yeah I totally agree with ricarleite on that one. It seems like anymore I just go to the preservation area and that's about it. Sure I look here daily but that is about all I do.

With all the possibilites perhaps it would be a good idea to limit it to Episodes I-VI only. No extra stuff. Sure that would be cool but make another set of spines for the extra stuff and OT discs.

This is the complete uncut and widescreen version from New Zealand.

I'm going to bet this isn't a Region 1 disc.

I could be wrong.

This might just be ignorance on my part. I’m not to up on PAL to NTSC conversion.

Can’t you take the PAL DVD and just make it region free with DVD Shrink?

I could be way off on this. This way may have tons of logistical problems that I’m unaware of.

That is funny to read that. My girlfriend and her friends just started a game sex horse I guess it would be called. They had to have sex in some crazy place and then everyone else has to top it.

All I know is I haven't had so much weird sex in my whole life.

Has anyone here ever microwaved a CD? I've been having problems with my burner lately so it keeps spitting out coasters. Rather than breaking them and then spend the next two years finding CD parts I microwave them. Put then into the microwave (silver side up) and cook for 3 seconds.

When you get done with them it's like art and they all come out different. It is quite neat. A friend of mine told me about this and I must say it kicks a little ass.

OK that's the stupid microwave trick of the day.

The fact is we don't know. There isn't really any point wondering or debating about what will be on the official DVD. This was just announced yesterday so as ReverendBeastly said we might not be able to get our money back on this laserdisc now.

This isn't really a concern to me. My donation is going into the transfer fee and shipping. So I'm actually one of the people not getting money back on this disc. I'm still fine with this and ReverendBeastly asked me if I'd be cool with this before this project even started. No problem, however I know there are a few people who will be breaking even on this disc based on if this sells for the same price on eBay or not. That could get sketchy now that this DVD has been announced.

In the best interests of those people getting their investment back soon I just wanted to restate that any compression or DVD authoring work I can help with I would be glad to throw down. I know that ReverendBeastly has good people working on this but if I could help get this done faster I would be glad to help.

In the mean time I wish everyone involved with this project the best of luck in getting it completed. I know all to well how much a pain in the ass putting a DVD together can be.

Oh and don't forget to go and check out my squished laserdisc cover I made for this project.

I think we should still do both the movie and the extras. Who knows perhaps the movie that comes out won't have a commentary on it or something. I for one would still like both versions.

At least we will have the extras from the laserdisc. So that is totaly kick ass in my book. So I guess I'm happy both ways. Yeah me!!

I'll end up with a studio quality cut of the film and a great transfer of the bonus stuff.
