Just found this...

Universal finally got around to at least putting out the longer cut; the long-ass making of is nowhere to be seen, however Still, it's a great movie and we finally get to see it in pristine DVD quality That's never a bad thing!

That is from www.dreadcentral.com so I'm still thinking the US version of this is sans making of...

Perhaps a DVD of just the bonus stuff is in order at this point. I wouldn't sell just yet, we still might have something for those of us without region free DVD players.

Is this official that the whole thing is there? I have been looking online and I have yet to find a good link to a review that covers the extras of this disc. Anyone have the link?

Hey ReverendBeastly,
Sense my contribution to this project was a no money back donation can I at least get those other disc we discussed sent out. Drop me a PM...

Need help with DVD ripping on mac platform
Time
Head on over to http://homepage.mac.com/major4/ and download a copy of ffmpegX. It is a great converter that will convert just about anything. It is a free download but for 14 bux you can buy it and get rid of the try window that pops up when you use it. I just bought it because it's such a great utility for my mac. Take your .VOB or what have you and if you convert it to a .dv file it will open up just fine in Final Cut Pro.

Hope that helps.

Keylogger
Time
Does anyone know where to get a decent free keylogger that happens to be invisible? I had one on my computer to track changes I make to various things but I had to reformat my Hard Drive and I lost the install file for it. Now I can't find another good freeware keylogger.

And no I'm not spying on anyone. I'm the only one who uses my computer.

Thanks in advance.

Need help choosing soundtrack for movie.
Time
I almost forgot to mention this one.

Get yourself a copy of "A Christmas Carol" (TV Version) by Stephen Warbeck. I know it sounds crazy but that soundtrack is awesome to edit to. Go check out amazon.com and see if you can play some samples (you might not be able to). I use that soundtrack more than anything when I am editing a temp track together. I think it might be right up your alley for this particular project.

A really good score you might want to look into is the one done for "Needful Things" by Patrick Doyle. It is a really good soundtrack to a movie that I thought didn't get the credit it deserved.

For just strange music from a film you might want to look into the score to "Hellbound:Hellraiser II" and "House of a 1,000 Corpses." When I'm editing I temp stuff to those two soundtracks ALL the time.

Let us know what you used.

I have to go with bad_karma24 on this. The DC is very cool. I still don't like the movie and I still thing the original should be out there but in many cases it's a little better than the original. As for the R rating it was because the ratings were different back then. He didn't add enough to make it an R but the stuff that was in there was enough to warrant an R rating by today’s standards. The original version was rated PG and it has the love/sex scene in it. So there really isn't anything more violent or sexual in this movie that wasn't in the original.
