It was pretty good. Different to what I was expecting.

I would definitely not call myself handsome. My hair’s not long enough yet.
Eight chapters in, and I’m at a loss understanding why this book is so beloved. No character has any real personality, and the descriptions are clinical and passionless; the book feels like it was written by an emotionless robot. Maybe the story improves further along, but I really don’t feel compelled to find out.
I thought I was so cool when I was 12, cos we had to read that book in school and I was very public about how much I disliked it.
No because that’s what he should have said since that’s what the poster said, unless it was supposed to be a humor-joke
Mate.
Topher Grace really fell off after Spider-Man 3.
I never finished it, and I still have no idea why.
I reckon this was my least favourite out of all the Linkin Park albums I’ve listened to so far. I was just bored whilst listening, it was really mediocre.
Man, I get opinions, but I can’t understand how you would think that. The Hunting Party is one of their best albums.
It’s not that the prequel special effects haven’t aged well, they were bad even back then.
Controversial Opinion: I don’t think they’re that bad.
I had a dream that my family went out to see the new Avengers, and at the end there was a trailer for the next movie, and for some reason my dad decided to go and see it as soon as we walked out of the theatre (I dunno why it was already released). For whatever reason he wanted to watch it in the safety of his car, but both our car and a rental we had were parked a few floors above the theatre, and instead of driving down a ramp, my dad decided to just drive the cars off a ledge and crash into the floor beneath us. At that point I realised it was unrealistic for any of this to be happening, so I woke up.
I guess it really all comes back to the issue of when does a life truly begin.
Sweet!
I’m in a similar boat with you. I saw and enjoyed all the PT films when I was a kid but at the time I didn’t think either TPM or AOTC quite measured up to the OT (AOTC in particular was something of a disappointment to me at the time).
Huh. I liked the prequels more than the OT for years as a child. It wasn’t until I was 12 that I came to find them inferior. For a while I really disliked them, but now I’ve come back around and enjoy them again (except TPM, what a slog).
Well I was blessed with the OT before I saw the PT so I knew what was good right beforehand and had that to measure the PT against.
Yeah but, so was I, sorta. Well, I started with TPM, which I thought was okay, then I went on to the OT which I enjoyed, and then watched AOTC and ROTS which blew me out of the water.
But, like, why though?
Man, I can’t really remember. I think because they had better special effects
They didn’t though. They were more fancy yes, but except for a couple instances where they look dated I would say the ots effects looked more realistic. They just weren’t as wild.

How do you double post with two different replies?
it’s bad for the binding, though.
But who cares, it’s just EU books.
Teeeeeeeeeechnically only one of them is an EU book.
This post, my 21268th, will NOT be my last post on originaltrilogy.com. Nevertheless, like yhwx before me, this is a post I’ve been delaying writing for a few weeks now, for a reason I don’t really know.
Over these last 3-4 months, my … let’s call it “keen investment” … in the forum has waned. A number of once-regular posters have faded into the ether, and the colour they brought to this place has faded with them. Discussions hereabouts don’t pique/hold my interest as they once did, and their absence in the proceedings plays into that. At the same time, this is the only on-line community I’m really a part of and I have no friends in the real world, so I need this place for socialization, to keep myself from going stir crazy.
tl;dr: I’m not really leaving, but I am going into semi-lurker mode for an indefinite period of time.
Dammit, you’re easily one of the more interesting posters here.

Man, I can’t really remember. I think because they had better special effects and more fight scenes.

Moon (2009) Directed by Duncan jones.
Who is this greasy dude? I see him a tonne whenever Paja posts. Is that you?
It was pretty funny.
LOL GAY PORN JOKES ARE FUNNY
Cool story bro.
Mmm.
He said something along the lines of, let’s celebrate the birth of a very important man today, Sir Isaac Newton. Newton was born on December 25.
Wow what a dick.
It’s not like he’s wrong.
That’s nothing. You should see the other obnoxious shit he writes on Twitter.
If you think about it, Obi-Wan and Yoda also gave themselves over to the Force in a similar fashion, especially since Obi-Wan disappeared an the moment before Vader’s saber hit him.
Did he? I always thought Vader killed him.
yeah he did. vader’s blade never even touches him.
Well I guess that clears up the whole “why didn’t the prequel Jedi disappear when they died?” thing. I guess Yoda and Obi-Wan (and now Luke) gave in to the force.
I wholeheartedly stick with the “hail to the king” ending.
Man I adore that ending, but I think I prefer the lost in time ending. It feels much more Evil Dead to me.
How does Kim Wilde have that many albums?
I don’t imagine anyone could keep that pace up without exhausting their creativity.
the beatles
I’ve only listened to two of their albums, so I’ll have to take your word for it.
Oh, sweet zombie Jesus.
Go listen to Revolver and Abbey Road right now, you heathen.
Abbey Road is one of those two albums.
Alright, then make it Rubber Soul and Revolver.
Only full albums of theirs that I’ve listened to.
It was pretty funny.

Mustafar looked mostly okay. If the prequels had told their story effectively then the effects would be forgivable. There are some really crappy effects in Return of the Jedi but the movie is interesting so it’s okay.
I’d take RotS over RotJ any day, but I realize I’m in the minority here.
I’m with ya.
