I’m afraid that all the good posters like Post Praetorian will vanish forever into the ether, to be replaced only with pests like Spuffure.

If you mock me one more time…

I’ll ban you from mentioning or saying my name or replying to my posts!

And… how exactly will you manage this?

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story - Fan Edit Ideas thread...
Time

This is actually the first Star Wars movie in a very long time that I don’t think really needs things cut out to enjoy it. There was no cringey dialogue, no bad camera angles, and very little poor CGI. Maybe I’d cut out Leia at the end, or just have her back turned to the camera and cut away before she turns around, but that’s it. Having an opening crawl would be a cool experiment, but wouldn’t improve the movie.

Rogue One * Spoilers * Thread
Time

Well, just saw Rogue One. I didn’t know what to expect, and I came out loving it. All the action was spectacular, and don’t get me started on the cinematography and look of the film. Perfection in terms of visuals. The characters were all memorable. The masses were right when they said Chirrut Imwe and K-2SO were the standouts, but I really loved Bodhi Rook as well. He had charisma and was extremely likable. The music was good, but narrowly beats out The Force Awakens’ musical score to become my least favourite of all the Star Wars soundtracks.

SPOILERS

The numerous cameos from OT and PT characters were nice. Some were expected, like Vader and Mon Mothma, but others took ke completely by surprise, like Bail Organa, Leia, Red Leader, Gold Leader, and especially Dr Evazon and Ponda Baba (I was not expecting them). The part when Vader slaughters all the Rebels was cool, but it felt a bit out of place. I’m not sure why, maybe the tone. The start was a little jumpy, but nothing too bad. Other than that, that’s about it for flaws. The deaths of all the main characters were handled very, very well, all of them poignant (except for Rook’s, which was a little disappointing), and satisfying.

Very little for me to complain about, maybe it’s the hype, but I’ll give this movie nine out of ten for now (that’ll probably change when I see it a second time.

Should I stick with spiderman unlimited or make my own spiderman game? I need a legit answer and not mocking. Don’t even say anything about mocking. Just answer the question please.

Mocking is fun, especially when the victim cannot fight back. If saying that makes me a bully, then I guess I’m a bully. Oh wait, you said we weren’t supposed to talk about mocking? What a travesty this is.

Inferno (2016)

What an abhorrent mess of a movie. I haven’t seen The Da Vinci Code or Angels and Demons, but if they’re as bland, uninspired, and boring as this film, I’m clearly not missing out on very much. Despite Tom Hanks and Irrfhan Khan putting in rather good performances, everyone else was as wooden as a plank. I’m almost worried for Rogue One now, considering that Felicity Jones was excruciatingly bland throughout this film, although it’s not like she was given anything to work with.

SPOILERS (not that you should see this film)

Also, the reveal of her character’s true motivations came completely out of left field and didn’t add anything to the film at all. Her demise was anticlimactic for what had been built up as an important character.

The editing is nearly as horrible as the editing in Suicide Squad (believe it or not), and the quick cuts and shaky camerawork made any potentially exciting action scene dizzying and forgettable. The cinematography was nice in places, so that’s something I guess. The score for the film was nice enough to listen too, but I can’t remember any track in particular. I’m not sure why I wanted to watch this movie, but I’m quite certain that I will never watch it again.

3/10

I would prefer Rey, Snoke, Finn, Poe, etc. unrelated to any known character. The galaxy is wide, bring fresh blood. I don’t understand the buzz around Rey’s parents: I really don’t give a shit about her parents. Have we met Obi-Wan’s parents ? Yoda’s ? Han’s ? Chewie’s ?

We did meet Chewie’s dad once. 😉

I should really watch the Holiday Special again. I’ve only watched it twice in full (I’ve shown my friends the Holo-porn and the holo-circus many times though), and both times were back in 2014.
