Role Playing. It is May of 1977 and we just seen Star Wars,
Time
I always saw Vader as what he is. A big dark helmet man... I honestly have NO CLUE what can be said about him, except just to wait and see what the SEQUEL (yeah I have too much trust in the sequel) will reveal.

I think the clone wars was what you said... both sides developed clones and duked it out, with the Jedi trying to restore order in between, maybe... or on one of the sides.

Also, I heard that a sequel IS IN FACT in the works! It's most likely scheduled for a 1979-1980 release (my assumptions)...

The Matrix
Time
hmm... I saw The Matrix in 2001, thanks to my cousin... it was amazingly awesome.

I saw The Matrix Reloaded in (obviously) 2003, and I was quite disappointed.

I saw the Matrix Revolutions in 2003 as well, and I was also quite disappointed.

The more I saw Matrix 2 and 3 the more I understand the complicated shiggedyschwag in it... but it was not well executed, and definitely not understandable in the first run... (not to mention the fights and action scenes weren't as interwoven into the story as the first film). The two sequels are definitely not very good movies on their own.

To understand what the architect was babbling about, I would strongly suggest you to go here: TheMatrix101.com
It's a great website explaining almost everything that happens in the sequels.

I saw it twice. I went once, and then immediately bought another ticket to see it again! This was amazing stuff! Incredibly realistic. I also liked the concept where everything is worn down, instead of brand new. Good schtuff... I bought another ticket to see it yet again! When is it coming out on Betamax/VHS?

Also, I personally think Leia would end up with Han (In the sequel...I bet there's a sequel), because that would make it more unexpected to the plot.

My hopes for a sequel would obviously be a Luke/Vader duel, and a final battle with the rebellion and the empire in space!

The Things We Hate And Love Thread .
Time
I hate people who you think will be a nice enough guy,
especially being a big time film producer out of all people,
to allow you to stay a few more days on a certain film set and get to know a few people in the film industry so you can also make it there,
only to have him ignore you for the rest of the day,
thus making you feel worthless and having to suffer through endless days,
weeks, months and years with no connection to the movie industry when you clearly expressed that you really want to be there if your life depended on it!!

What kind of Star Wars fan are you?
Time
Let me be like generalfrevious...

I used to like the prequels (well, I still do... in their own way... nostalgia) but they honestly pretty much suck.

As much as I am not bothered by the changes (many of them illogical... a few I AM BOTHERED BY: Hayden in ROTJ!!! ARRGH! *spits*)
It's absolutely necessary to have a good (possibly high def and Lowry restored) quality version of the OUT(Original Unaltered Trilogy right?) available... It's something highly required.

I don't necessarily like nor care about anything EU because most of it is just not the Star wars feel, get it? The video games are okay, except for most of them in terms of design and crap like that... never mind.

Anyone else nostalgic to the PT?
Time
Ok, ok... before you decide to hunt me down and use my fragile internal organs as a hyperdrive generator, hear me out!

Being born in early 1989, and thus being 10 years old when Episode I came out, I have fond memories of going out on a great summer day in July and watching Episode I for the first time! It was great... I obviously know that the prequels are poorly written pieces of... ahh you know... but I'm now permanently nostalgic to the years 1996 to 2003... that includes (almost primarily Episodes I and II!)

The first Star Wars flick I've ever watched was in fact, in 1995 and at that time I only knew very little of Star Wars (I saw a bunch of ads for it somehow, I'm not completely sure).. and I wanted to get the "one with the walking things on the snow". So I went to the local video rental department, and my dad unfortunately mixed up Star Wars with Star Trek and told me that there are hundreds of episodes from it, and thus it would be pretty hard to find that particular one... so, the VHS covers to the old Star Wars trilogy were the ones with the red titling and white outlining.. you know those... and I think ROTJ's had a picture of an AT-AT on it (you know the one shown a brief second transporting Vader and Luke on the forest moon), and some AT-STs, so I figured that's the one! I watched it, I loved it, I didn't care it was the third film, I rented all the other ones they had left, and when the 199 special editions came out, I didn't even know what the fuss was about... but I didn't see it in theatres for some odd reason.

My point here is, I'm nostalgic to both Star Wars trilogies! But primarily the prequels... Of course I love the OT much much much more than I do the prequels, but I watch them (the PT) oftentimes to get reminded of the really cool times when it was really fun to fight with plastic hasbro lightsabers (even outside the theatre in the RAIN after watching Episode II) and make stupid Star Wars movies that are really cheesy! Interestingly enough, TACO BELL's tacos remind me the most of Star Wars, believe it or not!

Anyone else feel this way? well, anyone else below 20 at least...

UserBars

Ok, ok... sorry everyone... it's just... it's just really funky to design these things you know!?

I just wanted to take some time to just tell you that I could design a few really pretty Star Wars userbars.
Not only that but anything else... not only that but who else thinks these user bars look really nice?

here are three 'simple' Star Wars bars I made not too long ago. They are supposed to be a subtle nod to each Episode:

Soundtracks!
Time
Speaking of film scores...

I hope anyone with some taste for film music will agree with me that "Pirates of the Caribbean" contains some of the most unoriginal music composed to date. Written by 15 (15!!!) composers collectively known as "Media Ventures" under supervision by Hans Zimmer (a great composer by himself). The only reason it's so popular is because millions of kids who never listen to film score drew in to the hype and placed this stupid thing on the top of the charts. For all you GLADIATOR soundtrack owners... listen in on "The Battle" (Track 3 I think). And you will most likely hear something unmistakably similar to the "Pirates" theme. (I'm not sure about that though, because I have a different kind of soundtrack containing a bit more music from Gladiator).
