Ugh, go make a favorite reviewer thread or something. I don’t care about any of these non-last-movies seen.

I bet 1/4 of your posts is telling people that they’re posting in the wrong threads or that they should be talking about sub topics elsewhere.

There’s a good reason (other than my beautiful blonde locks) that I’m a moderator on FE.

Old habits die hard I suppose. It’s more fun this way and besides…how long do you think a conversation about youtubers can really last?

I’m pretty sure you and him have similar opinions about the things that you like…

What makes you think that? Do you mean Chris or Jeremy? It’s possible either way.

Both of them. They like a lot of the same classic (and probably some modern) movies you are likely fond of and most likely have similar if not the same rationales for liking said movies.

EDIT:

What reviewers do you actually like? And you can’t use Ebert…

I love Half in the Bag. Entertaining, informative, honest and well thought out reviews.
I really don’t watch many reviews because I don’t watch many modern movies. I watch RedLetterMedia no matter what they’re covering though. It’s always entertaining. The other reviews I watch are mostly covering older horror and sci-fi films. For that I turn to MONSTROSITIES volg, Kaijucast, ect.
I’ve also started using letterboxd.com. It’s a great site full of reviews. Many good ones from our own Neglify and one of my own!

RLM is probably the magnum opus of reviewing for me. I could listen to those guys talk about water for 40 minutes and walk away learning something while laughing my ass off.

EDIT 2:

Can you give a description of some of his mannerisms or any distinguishing behaviors and/or accents of this guy you can’t remember?

He’s much like Jeremy. I dare say he stole Jeremy’s act.
I’ve looked, but can’t find. Maybe I was just thinking Jeremy was two different people?

That or someone who looks like him. Wouldn’t it be sad if someone not only jacked his reviewing style but his physical appearance as well?

Also, how do you guys feel about Chris Stuckmann? I find him to be a much better reviewer.

I find his reviews far better and he goes in depth far more, but I think he’s way too generous on films. Like, he’ll be bringing up heaps of flaws and then give the film a B+ or something.

I think a lot of the issues he brings up are small. And with certain films you may like certain aspects of the films so much that it makes the issues you have seem trivial. I like The Dark Knight Rises quite a bit but with the flaws I see in the film I should probably rate it at a 7.5/10 even though I rate it a solid 8/10

Doesn’t really count as a movie, but I showed my dad the War Of The Stars ANH edit not too long ago. He got a lot laughs out of it to say the least.

I have no idea why I skipped it in lue of watching the 2nd installment.

Jeremy Jahns rarely gives a less than stellar review to long awaited superhero movies.

I don’t remember Jeremy giving MoS and BvS stellar reviews…just saying

After looking at some pictures of the cast all lined up, I think that Killer Croc was cast poorly. The actor who played him, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, just wasn’t imposing enough. He’s only 6’2, I’m the same height as him. I think they should’ve cast someone bigger, like Shaq or something. Look how short he is!

We should have gotten something like this…

I used to play Quake Multiplayer over a workplace LAN in the mid/late 90s.

Now I just waste time here during work.

Same. Now whenever I’m going to another job site or my Dad is deliberating with someone about they want objectives to be tackled I go on here. But it’s hard writing responses on a mobile device; especially one that’s as crappy as the one I have.

I could have sworn I’ve heard about this band before. Is there any song they came out with that I probably have heard at least in passing?

There’s not a person in the world who doesn’t know this song.

Doesn’t ring any bells…good song though

Dang man. You gotta get into 80s music.

Technically I do listen to 80’s music…

I’m sure it was made in the 80s, but is it music? I’m 50/50.

Yep, but whether you like melodic riffing is based on your taste.

I don’t know, I generally prefer my melodic riffing with a bit less blood and/or devil worship.

Maiden doesn’t talk about that that often and I don’t think a band like Candlemass talks about that stuff either. You would probably like Mercyful Fate or even Show No Mercy era Slayer it were strictly instrumentals.

Depressing. Fucking Millennials.

The only thing that’s depressing is that you’re mad that I don’t recognize a song that you like.

I think her performance felt very forced and like she was trying too hard.

Then that means Margot did a good job because that’s what the character is in general.

How do you mean? The only version of the character I’m even slightly familiar with is the one from the 90’s cartoon show. She seemed effortlessly crazy, like the joker.
But, again, I’m not very familiar with Batman. The Adam West series and 90’s cartoons are the only Batmans I’ve liked.

The Joker and Harley are made to be the epitome of madness almost to a fault. Their history has been a series of trying to outdo the previous incarnation to the point that the latest incarnation of the Joker cuts his own face off. Having stated that I don’t know how you can “try too hard” with characters like this.

I dunno, it seems possible to me.

I think it’s certainly possible if it were the 70’s but in the recent decades the envelope has been pushed to the brink and then some so it’s a weird complaint considering the characters in essence are tryhards. Also I would rather someone try “too hard” than to try too little. It shows that Margot at least cares.

You can play as zero in 3, there’s a Rom hack that even lets you play as him unlimitedly.

EDIT:
Also I remember that you can play as Zero in X3 but the controls were abysmal in comparison to how Zero’s controls in X4 and X5

I Agree that zero is pretty bitchin in the PlayStation ones, but the original 3 just have such killer tone and imagery.

I agree on the tone as it was a bit darker and I wasn’t too big on X4 and X5 being lighter in comparison but I have always dug the sprites for X4 and X5 better. Mostly in part of them looking more like adults.

I felt like X was only hunting maverick in his spare time away from playing guitar for Slayer.

I wouldn’t mind him replacing Kerry King; he would have been a way stronger guitarist.

Abd about X8, you should seriously play it. It is exactly NOTHING like x7 other than being able to take 2 characters to a level. Its a pure homage to the first 5, incorporating elements from both the SNES and PS ones. Its tone and music honor the SNES games but it has a lot of features of the PS ones too, and zeros sword control is fantastic. They also made axl a unique and useful player instead of just a weaker X with autofire and shape shifting. Except for 2 levels it’s all 2d too and those are just autoscroll JetBlue levels.

That sounds exactly like what I wanted out of X7 even though I was very enthusiastic at first about it going into 3D. Even as a kid I knew something was off.

Take it from someone who loves the first 5 and hates 7 (6 is just meh), 8 is a great experience. You can tell they actually tried on this one to please the fans.

Let’s not even get on X6. The fact that it retconned the ending in X5 is enough to discredit the game in it’s entirety. Also the X upgrades were bad; especially that weird black suit.

It even has decent voice acting. (Ever played the RPG MMX command mission? It uses the same actors from that)

I never would have thought. I’m fully convinced now lol

AK would have been so much better if it were Mega Man 2 for the NES.

Fixed for everybody! : )

Having played X - X7 it’s hard to go back the originals due to the lack of Dash Boots. It makes them almost impossible for me to fully enjoy.
