I tried to write out a long and complicated fan theory, but I wound up disagreeing with myself. Whoops.

What was it?

Long story very, very short;

The Force Awakens is a sort of meta-commentary on the franchise as a whole. Rey is all the young, new fans who were introduced to SW by TFA, Maz Kanata is a levelheaded fan whose been around a while, Kylo is a crazy fanboy, Han is George Lucas, Luke is Star Wars itself.

Haha Kylo Ren is a pissy TFN type. Or wait, if Han is Lucas, then Kylo Ren is… us?

Also, not really the same but reminded me of this: http://www.giantbomb.com/articles/off-the-clock-space-opera-millennials-and-their-gr/1100-5371/

No, Kylo Ren is the generic whining Star Wars fanboy. That doesn’t apply to most of us.

Yeah, I’d love a post-ROTJ series.

As do I (even though I would prefer a novel/s) but please use a different art style Disney.

Dear Disney: Please stop using the Disney art style. Love, a “fan”

I don’t really know what else to say but the CGI stuff isn’t working for me. If Disney used the same art style and animation they used for the Lion King that would make me more than ecstatic.

How about The Lion Guard?

Even better! Using the retro South Park art style and animation would the best option though. It’s definitely the most raw and energetic of all the styles.

Should the prequels and TFA be considered canon?

I like to think of things in different levels. If you adhere to the original movie being it, that really doesn’t fit in with the idea of canon so here is how I look at it.

OT - Platinum Canon
OT & PT - Gold Canon
OT, PT, & ST - Silver Canon

This makes sense in theory but not as much in practice. The PT is well…the PT and the ST isn’t even close to being over. Pretty premature ranking in my opinion.

Not when you look at it from the perspective of the photo being about Bruce Wayne and Batman instead of the actors and Batman. Bale and Affleck’s photos are both of their respective takes on Bruce Wayne.

Um… that’s exactly how I was looking at it.

I wasn’t saying Batman: TAS shouldn’t be in the image. I was saying that his face actually doesn’t make sense, because Bruce Wayne’s eyes are drawn higher up on his face than they are when the mask is on.

Holy shit I didn’t even catch that dude. Nice eye 😉

Using decimals is pointless and stupid. If you want more resolution, use a scale with range 100. It saves you typing pointless dots.

The 0 - 100 system disgusts me.

Then why are you using it?

I don’t use that shit. I use the 0 - 10 system with decimals.

…which is a 0-100 system.

10 and 100 are not the same number so unless they happen to merge at some point in time you’re wrong.

It is about time you stop embarrassing yourself. Ranking system is about the range and relative difference between each score. The system is the same if it has the same range, whether you count with some numbers, other numbers, stars, portion of cake, length of penis, or whatever.

I find the 0 - 100 system to be aesthetically unappealing. I don’t recall saying that it didn’t make sense or anything like that.

  1. The Force Awakens = Star Wars

I’m a fan of TFA but I can’t go that far.

I can see why you would say that but from my perspective each film has aspects that are stronger than those in the other film to the point that they cancel each other out. I can’t say one film is better than the other without feeling either guilty or unsure about my decision.
